‘Absolute Presence‘ is about losing connection with the physical world and exploring a much deeper place in your mind. It’s about experiencing a significant transformative state from which one can either come back to the physical world, or fade into death. In this enhanced state of consciousness, one may feel entirely weightless, at peace, and removed from their physical body. It’s the feeling of all of existence hitting you at once, and distinct emotions and identifiable feelings fading into irrelevance. How does one approach their day to day life after such an experience? This is what ‘Absolute Presence‘ attempts to address.

Dripping Acid is a series of separate 12"s exploring themes of melodic liquid acid. Part 3 of 6 limited releases by the Tin Man!! -- For Tin Man, acid endures. Like the lapping of a sizzling ocean on the shores of a distant planet, the peaks and troughs of expansive 303 basslines have been a constant in the music of the producer born Johannes Auvinen. He dedicated his mid-2000s early period to the sound, and even as his productions have expanded in scope and style - from the vocaltinged techno of Cool Wave, Wasteland and Perfume, to the intricate, classical-leaning compositions of Vienna Blue - he has returned often to Roland's indelible bass synthesizer. His plaintive, searing melodies have anchored Absurd Recordings' venerable Acid Test series since its first release, and they've punched through the mix in the club music of recent collaborations with Gunnar Haslam (Romans), with Cassegrain, and also with John Tejada. So it wouldn't be accurate to call Tin Man's latest project, Dripping Acid, a rededication. Yet his most ambitious project to date - six 12"s comprised only of new acid compositions - embraces the style as wholeheartedly as he ever has. While the brittle machine-music of '80s Chicago is the blueprint of any acid track, Dripping Acid refrains from revivalism, instead looking forward and inward as it harnesses the 303's psychedelic potential through sumptuous production and adventurous composition. Though it's focused on a single style, Dripping Acid is tremendously diverse, expanding upon the evocative physicality of its track titles ("Evaporated Acid," "Drenched Acid," "Oozing Acid") to rend dancefloors of all shapes and sizes. Tin Man's acid can be exuberant and coy, bleak and technicolor, maximalist and impressionistic, even completely unrecognizable as acid - but as Auvinen stretches the sound to the point of snapping, he shows there's still bend in a decades-old template, and plenty more alien waves to ride.

Makam returns to Dekmantel Records with his first full-length album for the Amsterdam based label. Guy Blanken’s ongoing search for fresh sounds, textures and rhythms has lead him to “Than Sadet”, a gorgeous piece of work that takes his sound into new directions. “Than Sadet” displays a refinement of Makam’s sound. The music is highly tactile, with an emphasis on the surroundings of the environment in which it was created. Blanken: ‘‘Than Sadet is a secluded beach on an island in Thailand. A mysterious atmosphere haunts it. It’s windy and the weather is always a bit worse compared to the rest of the isle. There are many cliffs and you can’t swim because the waves are too high. Four years ago I visited Than Sadet for the first time and I’ve been coming back ever since. At one point I decided to bring my studio equipment. For a week, I dedicated my days to making music. Those sketches formed the basis of the album.’’ The inspiration on Than Sadet is obvious. From billowing percussion thru windswept strings to passages of strange bird calls, and across desolate tracts of calving synthesizers to a climax with a finale of petrifying thunder drums. The levels of dramatic suspense are ski-high, and mostly downbeat and mid-tempo grooves operate beyond the dancefloor.

Out of the gate “Dread Nox” hits hard like a Jungle track with dusty breaks and bizarre buried vocal samples blasting through over a dark ambience clattering about the track. “Portals” following with a similar progression nasty drums and creeping strings moving the cut along, while “Tea and Oranges” closes with a stepping cadence which will undoubtedly resonate with certain DJs. A stone scorcher of an EP to put alongside his classic Aquaplanos with Donato Dozzy, from nearly ten years ago. Four contrasting, deeply atmospheric stages in longing — swingeing and propulsive to blissed-out and bittersweet. Terse but charged; hypnotic, never bludgeoning; soulful and warmly crafted, never mechanical. Says Nuel — ‘Unveiled consists of live recordings made on the same great day: 03/10/2015. The inspiration comes from a woman, the record is my reaction to something she unveiled. The record is about really strong feelings, relationships and mental projections… a sexy record for me. After that recording session I found these tracks so appealing that I decided to keep them in that form, a document of that day.’

Following critically acclaimed releases from Eduardo De La Calle, Refracted, and Monomood, Connwax returns with another exceptional offering of bold and original techno. For this release, they have enlisted the help of a rising young talent in Berlin's underground scene: Akme. The producer and resident DJ of renowned club ://about blank demonstrates his uncommon technical precision and emotional depth with this debut EP, drawing on his vast array of influences and experiences across all genres. In "Elements", the bass drum takes centre stage. The engine room relentlessly driving everything forward. Yet as the track develops, a fine lattice work of detail starts to unfold. Meticulous percussive elements imbue the piece with an enigmatic depth as a sombre melody sweeps through the rough rhythmic landscape. We are allowed a brief moment to reflect before the bass drum continues its inexorable path forward. Akme takes a more reduced approach in "Black Matter". Space is left for the interplay between the understated acid bassline and delicate hi-hats to lock the track into a hypnotic groove. Here, the statement is defined by what is left unsaid.

Unknown Archetype AKA Roxy Tripp & Oliver Kucera debut their visceral experimental techno for R&S on this three track EPUnknown Archetype is a collaborative project between Roxy Tripp, a British conceptual artist & music producer, and Oliver Kucera a Czech born Producer & Live performer, residing in the Netherlands. With an extensive background of solo projects in the underground scene, the duo began their collaboration together as Unknown Archetype in 2015.The TRIPP EP is an abrasive, visceral EP of electronic body music underpinned by themes of Jungian psychology, symbolism and mythology. The industrial tech funk of lead track Voyeurism kicks things off - skittering breakbeats, squalling filters and blistering snares pile-driving the listener into ecstatic submission, while ‘Tripp’ see the duo employing sizzling bursts of white noise and caustic percussion over a jagged rhythm box figure. Matters are pared right back for the rigid austerity of closer ‘The Serpent’ - the dubbed out lead stab quivers over a strobing 909 drum groove and scything cymbals.Effortlessly balancing deep late night sounds with a unique character and intricate headphone centric programming, the TRIPP EP is a fitting and welcome addition to R&S’s storied catalogue.

Berlin based Adam Marshall and Christian Andersen collaborate as Graze. In the latest installment of the UFO series, the Dekmantel Records offshoot dedicated to experimental and futuristic electronic music, the Canadian veteran producers serve up a 50/50 lethal/dreamy drum trax package. Many have applauded the versatility of Graze, and their “Xup EP” is yet more proof of their original minds. “Xup” is an abstract 4/4 jugular, beating out devious percussive patterns and rattling hi-hats over a grizzled and arpeggiated synth mortar-fire. “Vast” on the other hand is an esoteric slow-burner, a hallucinatory trip to the depths of analog synth paradise and a perfect intro, outro or home listening gem. On the flip, the hyper-lean gearshift of “Tryptch” pumps energy through off-kilter and plunderphonic basslines, while “Shadow Play” is a classic piece of breakbeat bliss including a celestial synth arrangement that makes a perfect soundtrack for slow-speed sci-fi rides.

Ears Have Eyes are ready to drop their 4th release, this time drawing on the fertile pool of talent available in their adopted home of South East London. We kick off with the duo FYI Chris who, while not manning the counter of Peckham institution Rye Wax, have been putting together an impressive string of releases on labels such as Church, Lumberjacks from Hell and Rhythm Section. Nightmare is possibly their darkest offering to date, pairing chugging drums with jagged acid lines. Up next, the odd and elusive character of Nick Araguay delivers a silky smooth cut of warm, emotive techno. Hot on the heels of his recent wax on the excellent Peur Bleue imprint, he's definitely an artist to watch out for. Over on the flip we have Murun B & Ivor E with a fine track of deeply textured techno. Finishing off proceedings we have a lovely cut of rough yet sparkling house music that shows off the talents of young production duo The Soft.

The reclusive artist has seen a lot of justified and overdue praise surrounding the reissue of his sole early release, the Ship Scope 12” which was originally issued by Berlin’s Chain Reaction label in 2001 and reissued by DDS last year, following on from the unexpected dispatch of his distinguished and brilliant Sprinkles-esque Butterfly Effect album. His new World LP will expand your preconceptions, coursing a beautifully louche vibe from the most minimal loops and motifs - the kind that one could play all day without ever tiring of hearing them. The supple, floating DX7 bass contours and vaporous jazz chords of Intro start up like some Chicago or NYC deep house classic lost in its own reverie, and could happily go nowhere for as long as it wants, before the rainy day piano house melancholy of World 1 promptly inverts that supple aesthetic with a fizzing, hazy sort of depth perception and World 2 switches up again to a sort of trim du momentum in stepping, swinging equilibrium, riding the groove like no other.Turn over and the lingering, slowed downstroke of World 3 sounds like it got waylaid from a 0PN session with Wolfgang Voigt, whilst World 4 jettisons the bass altogether to thizz and skip away in the highest registers with an intoxicatingly heady vein which makes the uniquely brittle but spacious breakbeat trip of World 5 so narcotically seductive. We hardly need to spell it out for you;- this is highly idiosyncratic, exceptional material, with warmest recommendations to anyone with a or taste for house and ambient electronica’s refined, soulful and experimental echelons.

A veteran of the music industry, Dave Ellesmere is way past his hardcore drumming days. Harboring the accumulated skills with a multitude of instruments, his electronic productions are intricate and meticulous. His passion for Detroit and Chicago soundscapes is evident in his latest vinyl release for MixxRecords. 'Caught In A Moment' starts off the EP with a steady techno grip engulfing a serene melody interspersed with sharp and gritty accents. The second track opens up with solemn piano progressions combined with high pitched synths, conjuring different spheres of the musical spectrum. Aptly entitled 'Universal Vibe', the track evokes a very diverse array of sounds layered on top of a dubby bassline. The sub-bassy 'From Now On Only Good Things Will Happen' kicks off in a very introspective manner, developing into a dreamy yet dark journey filled with anxiety ridden chords and drum pads. Label chief's Tony Rodriguez aka Brothers' Vibe is on duty for the 'Universal Vibe' remix. Percussion takes the main lead, giving the track a rolling pace. Stripping down a lot of the global elements but keeping some bell chords, Rodriguez's reinterpretation offers a tribal infused piece with a completely different mood that is just as contagious as the original.

Killer nexus of D&B-informed techno rolige and dark ambient themes. This is Simon Shreeves’ eponymous debut, following sterling work as Mønic and half of Kryptic Minds.Healing Bowl forms a timely collusion between an artist and label who’ve been converging on a mutual mesh of gutted D&B dynamics with techno tempos and dark ambient feels for some time now. It forms Simon Shreeves’ debut release under his birth name after more than a decade of releases as part of Kryptic Minds, and more recently his techno-leaning solo output as Mønic for Tresor.A match made in techno purgatory then, Healing Bowl metes out five pensile, nerve-pinched pieces defined by finely sculpted bass, shivering percussion and cranky concrète processing. Never showy, but with a nuanced atmospheric elegance and appreciation of proper body mechanics for the ‘floor or bedroom.A/SA falls down the trapdoor first with plummeting subs and spanked spring reverbs setting a crypt-like tone and spatial setting which bleeds thru into the title cut’s rolling swagger and strafing, daemonic silhouettes, before A Thousand and One locates and locks into a dank pocket of plasmic bass and spectral vocal recital.Sharada follows with a ghostlier, eldritch pallor of melodic development giving rise to sepulchral harmonics amidst fizzing, prickly percussion and elliptic sub bass curves, yet the EP’s strongest dancefloor cut is saved for last with the elusive, entropic sound design of S/KA seeming to invert techno and D&B dynamics with vampiric lust and romance.Shreeve has evidently found an empathetic and steadfast partner in Downwards. Here’s to a lasting relationship.

A Negative Hallucination is an idea that was first put forward by Sigmund Freud in 1890. He used the term to describe how a hypnotised person could be led to be unable to see a person or thing that was right in front of them once out of the hypnotised state, creating a gap in their reality. Sadly, this gap in reality seems endemic in the minds of many in the world, whether from lack of access to facts or from wilful ignorance. The result is the same regardless: a world where many oppressed peoples' reality is edited out of the conversation.Noleian Reusse (half of Africans with Mainframes) and Thomas Cox (one third of Pittsburgh Track Authority) got together in the studio in Pittsburgh during a week of extreme social unrest in the USA in late 2015, resulting in these recordings. The tracks are crafted with a stripped back electronic funk and a stark, relentless feel that reflects the energy in the air at the time.As long time fans of politically and socially charged music like Public Enemy, Underground Resistance, NWA, Dopplereffekt, and Gil Scott-Heron, Noleian and Thomas have taken these influences and mixed them with their own styles to come up with a modern dancefloor version of those ideals.Lead track Solidarity fills the whole A side with its optimism. Soulful melodies and strings conquer the driving rhythms, bringing a sense that through sticking together, a better future is possible. The B side's perspective is darker. Police State is a crazy raved out banger that combines gritty acid and harsh tones that channel the day-to-day existence for far too many urban people. The third and final cut, Surveillance, is a paranoid, spacey Techno track that would be ideal as a soundtrack for closed-circuit television video reels. This snapshot of urban life is tied together through artwork by Andrew Burger, whose mix of throwback style and current ideas nails the dystopian existence that is now reality as predicted so long ago by Orwell, Huxley, Lucas, and many more.

For its seventh release, Rave Or Die proudly welcomes Irish superstar Sunil Sharpe. Hailing from Dublin, this producer and DJ has gain within a few years a solid reputation of merciless techno purveyor in Europe with uncompromising re-leases on structures such like On The Hoof, Sheworks, Black Sun Records, Trensmat, Mord, Inner Surface Music, Komisch, Bastardo Electrico, and many more. Half of the Tinfoil duo along with DeFekt offers to the French Rave label a great slab of bastard-heavy material in his typical signature: hard and fast “Loose (Burn Down)” supported by metallic sorities and ruff modulations over a pounding bass line in a pure, raw style. On the flipside, ROD mastermind Umwelt (Boidae, Shipwrec, New Flesh Records) serves up another milestone of a cabalistic anthem dedicated to industrial ware-houses: mechanic “Slave To The Rave” signs an ode to the dancefloor thanks to its implacable and hammering beat. Harder, faster, higher seems to be the motto of Rave Or Die seventh chapter! Rush on it.

We live in the era of 'more'. We spend our days trying to keep up with a seemingly infinite range of links to follow, pictures to see, sounds to hear, places to go, objects to desire, events to anticipate, heroes to cherish and villains to loath. But rather than freeing, too many options can become paralyzing. Consequently, we often find ourselves frustrated because of the experiences we will never have... without even knowing what we really want. The same goes with music creation in digital environments. Too many possibilities can also mean a tyranny of the "what if...". In this light, celebrating 'less' becomes vital. And that's exactly what swedish producer and Studio Barnhus affiliate Simon Haydo does in 'Redux'. All of the sounds in the album's nine tracks come from just one synth: the Korg MS20. As Simon puts it, the idea was to "maximize the use of less, basically. Less gear, less effects, less input from other people, less everything."Using only between 2 and 6 channels for every track, the result is a stripped but surprisingly rich sound, that delineates spatial Techno vignettes coated with the unmistakable charac- ter of the MS20 filters. Even more interestingly, this restraint is not only applied gear-wise, but also from an emotional point of view. "Instead of involving my own feelings, I let the voice of the MS20 take care of it", says Simon. All this makes 'Redux' an expression of techno in its purest form. After all, it's a kind of music that has always gravitated around simplicity, austerity and, of course, the believe that the machines have their own soul.

L/F/D/M squeezes off a volley of misshapen bangers and atonal wormholes in Music Without Discipline, making a mutant follow-up to his M Is A Shape (2015) LP and Crocodiles In The Ceiling(2016) EP for Alessio Natalizia (Not Waving) & Sam Willis’ Ecstatic label. For his third solo LP proper as L/F/D/M, the London-based producer/artist/designer jams, layers and hacks a clutch of new hardware toys, the Akai VX90 and Yamaha TX81Z in particular, into 11 variants of what is essentially a style of no wave or new beta techno.Pursuing his taste for unique, visceral and affective electronic tones into odder integers of the club, L/F/D/M establishes a jagged line that runs from original ‘80s industrialists thru Larry Heard’s legendary Gherkin Jerks and the scenius of Downwards’ brummie radge packets to a place right between the eyes of 2017.DJs and dancers will find full fat, wonky weapons ranging from the cranky-assed jacker Dance, You Awful Cunt, thru to a sludgy turn called Birds, a super-tangy Chicago percolator Texan Flower Girl, and the throaty acid gargle of Living Without Gain. But it’s the way in which Richard Smith is just as happy to follow his nose into sparkling vignettes such as After R Version and Ballet, and into the grubby pits of Pinx that really gives this record its shape and asserts its messed-up character.

Dripping Acid is a series of separate 12"s exploring themes of melodic liquid acid. Part 4 of 6 limited releases by the Tin Man!!

J Choirboy returns with more bombastic breakbeats and raucous rave chords for your earholes. Another sharp shot of nostalgia to the heart to have you waking up spluttering in the glory days of ‘92. Simpler times when the internet was still in black-and-white and you and seven of your mates would pile into Gaz's Vauxhall Corsa and drive to a field somewhere off the M25 for a ‘propa wicked' rave which you found out about from a party hotline on a crumpled flyer with some tenuous reference to science in the title. It's once more time to don the boiler suit and your rose-tinted Lennon frames, bask in the smell of Vicks VapoRub, and pour over the Polaroid albums of yesteryear. A colossal bass drum with a healthy slathering of reverb lays the foundation in ‘Full Effect'; the interlaced hardcore stab sets a melancholy tone. But lo! In rush the clattering chords of the piano, refuelling the piece with MDMA-laden euphoria. In ‘Lights Down', J Choirboy explores the sombre and reflective modes of the hoover synth. Subtle plaintive chords offset the characteristic rumbling bass drum and syncopated cadences of the breakbeats. As the first release on new label Rough Grade, the EP provides an uncompromising dance floor onslaught, occasionally soothing the listener with catchy melodies before continuing course through a stormy sea of roaring beats. Not for the faint of heart. Vital Sales Points: - support from Answer Code Request, Ryan Elliott, Boys Noize, Dustin Zahn, Fiedel, Martyn, and many more for previous release ‘Altar Ego EP' on La Mission.

Assorted Moods is a turning point in John Swing’s artistic output straying from his signature house and techno sound, towards many of his other influences gathered in the years: from jazz to dub, funk to hip hop and of course, club music. This 10 track LP serves the purpose of bringing to light all these influences and unifying them under one piece of work that’s been conceived with no preconceptions: Assorted Moods could be considered as a first step towards an unconstrained approach to production which focuses on the journey, the soundscape and the effects, crossing-over between many genres and styles. Opening with the meandering ‘Talking Tones’, the album brings to light and unifies all of these influences from start to finish, with each track executed live using analog gear exemplary of LiveJam’s signature aesthetic. Productions like ‘Touch’ capture a jazzy essence, whilst the soothing chords of ‘Healing Tones’ ooze with soul. Others, like ‘Groove Motion’ and ‘Freedom of Speech’, are more suited to the dancefloor with infectious snare hits, deep stabs and low-slung grooves. All in all, ‘Assorted Moods’ demonstrates John Swing’s broad palette of musical styles and makes for another exciting chapter in LiveJam’s exceptional output.

After releases on FXHE, Deeplabs, and Planet-E, Brian Kage returns with “The Arc EP,” a new record on his new label, Michigander. “The Arc EP” is dedicated to celebrating hopeful and inspiring times in the city of Detroit. The Arc - Dark minor chord stabs emerge and echo around a solid concrete foundation of classic 909 style drum patterns and deep pulsating bassline hits. The structure builds until giving way to a break of lush symphonic strings that pay tribute to Detroit in a nostalgic manner. The Arc (Stringless Mix) has been crafted for creating and releasing cascades of tension in the darkest of warehouses. D Drive – A saturated synth lead effortlessly bounces through two octaves in a classic groove that is unmistakably from an alternative universe where the 80s never ended. This feel-good jam will get even the toughest of crowds smiling and rocking out. Transcending – This contemplative soundscape flings percussive hisses rippling through a deep melodic realm. An atmosphere of timeless synthesis provides reassurance that it was a great decision to come out wearing comfortable shoes and dressed to sweat.

Over the last 2 years he has been cultiviting his own Roots By The Oder imprint on which he released his Bunzlau Tape EP and his I Caught A Glance EP which was out this summer, as well as regular appearances on the likes of KMAH Radio and NTS. He is also a frequent DJ in Berlin alongside the likes of close affiliates Chaos In The CBD and Youandewan. This is the follow up to his dreamy I Caught A Glance EP. It's a far darker record than his previous releases, focussing much more on the dancefloor. It's been a regular feature in Mia Dora's DJ sets for the last 12 months.

Well, what about Tuesday? Israeli hybrid house and techno masters Juju & Jordash return to Dekmantel Records with yet another outstanding release. Their relentless work ethos makes you wonder if these guys sleep at all. Maybe that’s what Tuesdays are for? DKMNTL 043 is a three-tracker and a fine display of Gal Aner’s and Jordan Czamanski’s next-level, improv based way of painting records. “Monday Mellow” is a dubbed out, twisted and subtly emerging house groover, while “Wednesday Something” continues the journey with a dense electronic jazz-tinged stomper. “Thursday, Heavy” demonstrates their full range, combining eerie melodic synth excursions with a jagged bassline – an out of this world, destructive yet classy house bomb. As always their intergalactic excursions are superbly executed. Let’s give them some rest on those Tuesdays.

All Naked Records hit the ground running with four flaming tracks by artists they hold dear. The 'Rigologo side' features a Ghost Future track that takes you back to the Chicago of 1994, but adds that little something extra. Rawmental then pushes through into Detroit territory with an epic and infectious synth jam. The 'Techno side', launches with a club ready techno burner from Captcha (aka Strip Steve) and finishes with a Nate Tone track. An essential debut release.

RP Boo returns with 'The Ultimate RP Boo', showing off six brand new cuts that mix a range of styles with his vivid use of samples and improvised drum programming. 'The Ultimate' kicks things off with a sliding synth riff that wouldn't sound out of place on a '91 Prodigy track with cut up rave vocal interjections over Bu's trademark pulsing bass. 'Bang with the Funk' crushes the 1-2-3-4-5 Sesame Street song, chopping its samples into hard shapes. Things turn dark and minimal with 'The King' which features a sample from Fresh, with strange atonal tones playing off against spooky chords and a tactile bass. On the flipside 'What Am I?' pairs syncopated snares and 4/4 bass pulses while percussion bangs and shimmers over clipped diva refrains and anxious piano. 'Bu'Moon' meshes together some pumping horn blurts and some old fashioned steamy synth wooshes that wouldn't feel out of place on a 50's sci-fi film into a relentless battle track. 'Electric Energy' finishes the EP, sampling an unusual pop source and chopping them over pulsing half time subs that pitch up and down around slipping and sliding drum hits.

2015 saw Datassette in generous form, the original 'Offal' brought 100 tracks of alleged offcuts. While a rare few actually live up to this self-deprecation, it couldn't be a more misleading title. Now, 'Selected Offal' has been boiled down to a gravy-like substance for a vinyl release by the nice folks at Shipwrec. After discussions with the artist, and suggestions from fans, seventeen prime cuts have been selected for the vinyl edition of Offal, alongside a few brand new previously unheard nuggets and alternative versions. Expect a buffet of delights. Smooth electronica, abrasive funk, out-there acid experimentation, chip tune chicanery and everything in between from this chameleon of machine music.

Anton Pieete is known for his classic, textured take on House & Techno. The Dutchman has spent recent years exploring the reaches of his analogue set up, releasing a string of hugely popular EPs for Joris Voorns Rejected imprint. Now he turns over his latest wares to Ovum, with another impressive offering in the shape of TheMenu. While it may be our starter; first dish Peven is definitely more of a main course. Heady and intoxicating with itspercussive, funky drums and undulating keys, its carries us on its woozy wave of rich analogue bass. Our appetite is further satisfied by the deeper sophisticated tones of Lite Green. Its malleable, swinging groove is governed by its pulsating bassline and dense kick-drum as lazer synths sweep and claps fire on thisclassy cosmic jam. BN300s dramatic and ghostly strings are at odds with its frenetic bouncing bass melody and yet together theywork in complete harmony to create our final musical indulgence from The Menu.

Perc Trax is proud to announce the first collaborative EP from Randomer and Perc, two artists working in different areas of the UK dance scene, but who share a similarly uncompromising attitude towards pushing their sound forward. Randomer's connection to Perc Trax has grown from his set at the Perc Trax Boiler Room session in late 2014 to his first appearance on the label with his recent remix of Ansome's 'Back Alley Sally'. Across this EP the two producers fuse together Randomer's intricate rolling rhythms with Perc's aggressive snarl to serve up three tracks of screw-faced north London grot.

The three EPs were set up as an experiment. Common to all EPs of the triptych is the question of a connection between intimacy and the public sphere. Aesthetically, the music presented on the EPs ranges from distressing and unaligned dancefloor-oriented tracks to tribal and politically charged drones to unsettling noise ballads.

Bedouin label sent Eomac samples of music from the Arab and Islamic worlds to use as source material for an EP. He was so inspired by the material that he quickly wrote over thirty tracks. The result is now “Bedouin Trax“. The intention was to be true to its sonic qualities and resonances, but bring it stylistically into his own world of contemporary electronic music. He approached this in the spirit of cultural exchange, conscious of our privileges as a white western population able to work in this way — only scratching the surface of another culture — and wary of the implications of this kind of appropriation. But this was a project born of love and deep respect for the source material, the traditions, the religions, the art and the music of this part of the world. Bedouin Trax reflects all this. Unity. Togetherness. Exploring the darkness and light in humanity to find our similarities, to find a way to connect with all people, from all diffent cultures and backgrounds. Some of the sent Sufi songs were songs about love - 'towards an entity of oneness'. This phrase informed the entire project. Mastered At – Dubplates & Mastering.

He's not what you'd call a prolific producer but the old saying of 'quality over quantity' couldn't ring truer for Marcellis. With just 3 releases in the last 12 years starting with a single on 2004, followed by an EP on Workshop and then his album on Millions Of Moments, any new work is highly anticipated. Its been a long time coming for Nonplus but every bit worth the wait. 3 tracks covering a range of styles from the ice cold analogue quirkiness of 'Sleep', to the bumping 4/4 offering of 'Indigo Skyfold' through to the jazzed out chugger 'Can They Do Tha (G Love Real Raw)' its an honour to have Marcellis as an addition to the catalogue.
