The mysteriously named 4M International was a side project of the production team behind short lived Italo group Trilogy ("Not Love", “Black Devil” etc). “Space Operator” is the only record the outfit recorded and is an ultra spacey, pitched down, cosmic anthem based around fellow Italian band Traks’ “Drums Power” record, taking the rhythm track and adding a wealth of killer sound FX, synth washes and sinister vocoded voices inviting us to join them in some intergalactic space travel. Released in 1982 on Full Time records off-shoot Good Vibes, “Space Operator” would not sound out of place on DJ Harvey’s infamous “Sarcastic” mix, this one’s a real bullet for all the Italo, cosmic, esoteric Disco freaks. “Space Operator” is a real rarity, with used copies often changing hands for collectors prices on-line. Re-mastered, re-pressed and re-issued on vinyl for the very first time in conjunction with Antibe Music / Full Time records, Italy.

incl. Remixes by Amelie Lens + Charles Fenckler After some releases on several interesting label in the techno scene, Reform make return to Etruria with their strong new ep called “Checkmate", which includes two remixes from the Soma talent Charles Fenckler and the Belgian Amelie Lens . First original is a melodic track characterized by hypnotic synths which interchange everytime in the arrangement and also dirty and powered drums. Amelie version’s express exactly her style, giving to the tracks something magic with the vocals added, making a very true and enigmatic game of chess. Second original instead is dominated by a strong pad, which fill up the mix, blowing up in the break and giving an epic feeling to the ensemble. Charles’s remix is techno with no excuses: raw powerful and groovy, is the perfect end for this pack, giving a much more underground touch to the release.

Count on this group of Australian weirdos to come up with an idea like this - a 12” of four songs, each 10 minutes and 10 seconds long, accompanied by an insane painting of four different worlds melding together. Who are we to refuse them? This not quite an EP not quite an LP take a sharp turn into the wispy and mellow - The River tumbles down a Brubeckian 5/4 meander right into a Leslie’d wicker counter-pattern, Infinite Rise rides a groovy yawning wake-up call through the commune, God Is In The Rhythm effervesces like a prom dance when the acid starts kicking in, and Lonely Steel Sheet Flyer circles ever upward like a friendly smoke signal from a beach fire - at 10 minutes apiece, the boys have plenty of room to stretch out around the songs, and they do so with loose limbs and stoned smiles. Altogether it feels like it flies in on dragonfly wings, lazily basks in the sun for a bit, and follows the sunset over the horizon…no doubt to write another record.

One helluva obscure release for fans of leftist German street punk. This is one of the most iconic underground acts Germany saw in its 1980's. We speak of punk rock in its original form and spirit - border songwriting that presents lots of ska-rhythms among furious riffs. As this compilation consists of the rare 1981 'Seuchen' 7inch EP and the even more rare 1983 MC cassette album, the more sophisticated 1983 recordings makes one think of a way more raw, nihilistic and aggressive Ideal, Fehlfarben and Ton Steine Scherben and might appeal to fans of the more wicked NDW underground as well. In the end all of these bands are rooted in a similar background they share with Tollwut (meaning rabies). Interchanging male and female vocals add much diversity to these tracks. When it gets to the four tracks from the classic 7“ EP, ferocious underground punk rock placed in between more tracks from the 1983 tape. It works fairly well with this splitting of the original single tracks and shows how a full length album released back in the day might have sounded. Tollwut have a good feeling for great punk rock anthems that stick to your mind and deliver a brilliant rabid experienced performance. Could have become a hard hitter on the scene back then! Fans of German punk music of the 80 should definitely give this a go!

Live'n Wild
LP | 1966 | EU | Reissue (Twitchin' Beat)

Genre:Rock / Indie
1965 and 1966 were the years when the underground at last exploded and first influences of psychedelia were showing in the music of many nowadays hardly remembered cult bands such as The Savages originating from the Bermuda islands. Along three 7" singles the band only released one full length record in 1966, “Live'n'wild”, recorded live at the Hub, a nightclub part of the Princess Hotel in Hamilton / Bermuda. The sound quality is quite awesome and the interaction with the audience brings quite a few very entertaining announcements next to a collection of great tunes, three of them cover versions. This album all in all is absolutely rare. It is hard to find any original copy at all. But here we go with a brand new reissue that brings back the original album to a garage beat loving audience. Strangest point here is the song “He's a man”, a cover version of Icelandic 60s rockers Thor's Hammer with lyrics in English written by The Savages. “We gotta get out of this place” by The Animals was quite an obvious choice for a young garage band to include in their live set, the third cover version on this album is a more powerful rendition of The Drifters' “On broadway”. Nice choices but only the icing on the cake for the self penned tunes presented a band that was up on the same level as most of the more popular garage beat heroes of the day and with “The world isn't round, it's square” The Savages had written one of the most wicked proto punk orgies of their era that became one of these cult tunes that are the reason a band survives in the memory of at least a few die hards over the decades and it still sounds fresh and furious while the great “Quiet town” for example is an early psychedelic pop tune. The overall mood of this record is certainly joyful but you can feel the teenage angst and anger of these youngsters streaming from every note of their songs. I suppose if they got hold of a fuzzbox already all their guitars would have been utterly distorted but even with no distortion on their axes there is enough dirt here to make “Live'n'wild” an ultimate experience in 1960s garage rock on par with The Seeds, The Music Machine or The Sorrows.

This album by Mort Garson was originally released in 1976, following works s.a. The Zodiac's 'Cosmic Sounds' (1967), 'The Wozard Of Iz' (1968) and Lucifer's 'Black Mass' (1971). Every fan of unique psychedelia (The Zodiac) and mind-bending electronic music (the two others) should certainly lend an ear to these three masterpieces, but there was more to come. 'Plantasia' has been labeled "warm earth music for plants and the people who love them". Revealing a sound that was less dark than heard on his previous releases, this Moog-dominated album offers dreamy and colourful compositions that work like a score to an imaginary movie.

A new Sun Ra LP touches ground in the earthly bins, 50 years after its creation!Sun Ra is still trying to get our attention 50 years after dispatching this transmission. Humanity’s path since then makes his message even more urgent today. Years after Herman Poole “LeSony’r Ra” Blount “left the planet” he’s still trying to reach us, to wake us up and to change our destiny.Sun Ra and the Arkestra weren’t a traditional studio band, and every star in the vast galaxy of their discography reflects this. The origins of these records can be hard to pinpoint at times, but when it comes to Thunder Of The Gods, it’s a bit easier. “Calling Planet Earth – We’ll Wait For You” was discovered on tapes from Ra’s, Universe In Blue, believed to be recorded in ’71. The raucous title track and “Moonshots Across the Sky” are unearthed from the ’66 Strange Strings sessions. Modern Harmonic has once again paired Ra’s sonic art with the visual art of “The Father of Modern Space Art,” Chesley Bonestell, whose 1952 work ”Formation of the Earth’s Continents” spralls across the front and back covers.

All This I Do For Glory Special Edition
LP | 2017 | EU | Original (52HZ)

Genre:Electronic / Dance
“All this I do for glory” is a reasoning and exploration of the machinations of ambition and legacy, an examination of the concepts of afterlife, and the first half of a doomed love story in the model of the greek tragedies. As a narrative, it exists temporally somewhere between 2015’s “Never were the way she was” (with Sarah Neufeld) and the 1st volume of the NHW Trilogy. With this, his first solo outing since 2013’s “To See More Light”, Colin Stetson ventures into territory both familiar and strange. Here still, is the dogmatically stripped down approach to performance and capture (all songs recorded live with no overdubs or loops) but there is an immediacy to the album that belies a more invasive and thorough miking of the various instruments being utilized and a seeming influence drawn from the early nineties electronica of artists like Aphex Twin and Autechre, evident in the more pointed role played by the instruments’ many percussive elements. There are ancestries, motivic and timbral, woven through these six songs that plainly anchor them within the shared universe of his Trilogy, though the overall experience is one of extreme intimacy, the sounds and imagery more tangible and immersive than previous offerings. The brief and brutal “In the clinches” recalls (or presages) echoes of songs like “Judges”, though now feeling like one has fallen down the bell of Stetson’s ancient bass saxophone itself. “Spindrift”, crystalline and serene, calls to mind the ambient works of Aphex Twin, while “Between Water and Wind” with it’s “Immigrant Song” swagger, relentlessly carves it’s way into the bedrock here, paving the way with an increasing focus on the minute and the minimal, with a deepened sense of patience shared by most of the album’s six tracks. Engineered and mixed by Stetson himself, this album represents a decidedly independent approach across the entire creative process and finds him at the top of his game, both as a composer and instrumentalist as well as a producer.

The Search' from Collocutor, the band’s second LP, is the story of a journey, from disillusionment to new beginnings, alienation to belonging, darkness to hope. It is a journey that can be interpreted as spiritual, emotional or physical/geographical, depending on the listener’s own experiences.Tamar Osborn, the band leader and composer says: “This wasn’t planned as a ‘concept’ album, but as the four main compositions developed they and their titles fell into a natural narrative order and the theme of the album became apparent. The three improvised Conversations were an opportunity to explore musically the meaning of ‘collocutor’ - a person taking part in a conversation - and how this applies to performance, and also to expand the textural range of the ensemble by dividing it into smaller groupings and freeing the musicians from structured composition.”The album had already been listed by The Vinyl Factory as one of their “Best new vinyl releases to look out for in 2017”, and has gained the enthusiastic support of icons such as Gilles Peterson, Mulatu Astatke and many others. Collocutor have The 2017 Mercury Awards submission in their sights and The Search could well have jazz breaching the shortlist yet again.Tamar Osborn has kicked off 2017 appearing at the Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Awards 2017 alongside Ninja Tune’s Sarathy Korwar: an incredible performance that set the tone of one of the most important celebrations of independent music.Collocutor’s sound has also graced the ears of the diverse audience that gathered to the Church of Sound last week (2/2/2017), with the band performing music from Yussef Lateef’s songbook as well as receiving a rapturous ovation for The Search. A sold-out concert, a moment of magic at Hackney's historic St. James the Great church, the new go-to destination for London jazz lovers that will be followed quickly by a headline performance at The Jazz Cafe.Established in 2013, On The Corner Records has rapidly established itself at the vanguard of the London jazz scene and Collocutor, its first signing has now become a leading force in the UK homegrown jazz movement.

Steve Monite
Only You
LP | 1984 | EU | Reissue (PMG)
19,99 €*
Release:1984 / EU – Reissue
Genre:Organic Grooves
Steve Monite's album, Only You, is a prime slab of Nigerian boogie. It's sinewy, compact and sexy, a little bit of disco mixed with a big dose of funk. Loose and groovy, it's a sonic seduction from another dimension. With legendary producer Tony Okoroji at the desk, and influential musician and sound engineer, Nkono Teles, creating magic on the synth, the title track is raw and melodic, dark and sweet at the same time. Steve sings about putting out a fire, but the music, and Stella Monye's sultry backing vocals, stoke it with aural gasoline. You've never heard a song less likely to lower the temperature and let cooler heads prevail. While never quite reaching the heights of 'Only You', 'Welcome My Love' and 'Things Fall Apart' keep the groove going, the later with a distinctly Latin swing. A couple of extended 'Disco Jams' and an obligatory, romantic ballad ('I Had A Dream') round out the record. In all honesty, however, it is 'Only You' that you'll keep going back to. It's a killer track, an Afro Boogie classic that would hold its own on any dance floor in the world, whether in the 80s or today. - Peter Moore

Dreaming With Alice
LP | 1972 | EU | Reissue (Merlins Nose)

Release:1972 / EU – Reissue
Genre:Rock / Indie
This album has been quite an obscurity already by the time of its release. Recorded by 19 year old Mark Fry for an Italian sub label of RCA it presented a beautifully naive kind of psychedelic folk similar to what the Incredible String Band laid down at the same time just a bit more straight forwarded. We saw originals in good condition go for about 1600 Euros already, therefore such a reissue is always welcome among fans of totally psyched out music, done by mostly acoustic instrumentation and vocals. Young Mark enchants his listeners with dreamy vocal melodies of utter beauty which create an outmost peaceful atmosphere. The picturesque tunes take you onto a trip out to the English countryside on a gentle and warm spring morning and into a fairytale world. You might get lost within this colorful dream and not be willing to return to grey reality anymore but this music indeed burns on as the flame of love within your heart. The direction despite all psychedelic elements is definitely determined by British folk music of the 60's and 70's. One charmingly odd aspect of the album is that the title track has been split up over the whole album as short sections flanking the longer tunes. I cannot recall anybody else ever doing that, so this is making this nifty little record a unique effort. If you are a fan of Perry Leopold or the above mentioned Incredible String Band this record will fulfill your wildest dreams but will also please those into Steeleye Span, Woods Band or Pentangle. Mark Fry plays his acid folk from the bottom of his soul without thinking about satisfying the demands of the mainstream audience. This is a must have for all fans of acid folk from the late 60s to the early 70s era. This music is intriguing, keen and absolutely one of a kind with a mood changing from rainy days to sunny mornings out in the meadows.

She Can't Love You delivers smooth, soulful vocals and an abundance of attitude, propelled by provocative, cheeky vocals sitting over tough, funky rhythms and retro synth lines. The original mix has bounces with a US garage-like groove via chopped breaks supercharged with a solid kick and tons of nightclub funk.Speaking of 'old school', Egyptian Lover supplies the electric boogaloo with remix that returns to his electro roots of the 1980's. The vocal sits comfortably in these new shoes, providing a classic-tinged alternative glance at this tune.

The fully licensed reissue is available as a single 33rpm LP and a limited 45rpm DLP, both cut directly from the original studio reels (AAA), at Emil Berliner (formerly the in-house recording department of renowned classical record label Deutsche Grammophon) for the 45rpm DLP, and at the equally famous Frankfurter SST Studio for the LP. Midori released two solo albums: “Through The Looking Glass” and “Tree Of Life” and wrote music for Tadashi Suzuki's theater plays. Her hypnotic, minimalist music is based in the concept of coherence between sound and the human body.

A killer selection of ice cold motorized Detroit electro tracks by Le Car! After Le Car had been dismantled and the parts put in storage years ago we have a final ride with Le Car that has been reassembled for the occasion. The '96-'97 Detroit electro project by Adam Lee Miller (Later known for his Adult. project) and Ian Clarke (known for his Perspects project) show another side of the Detroit music scene. The duo met at Art School and had a shared love for electronic music and conceptual art. This resulted in their own little vehicle named Le Car that had a test drive for four ep's. The Auto-fuel Ep, Auto-graph Ep, Automatic and the final Auto-motif ep of which 3 came out on MIller's Detroit label "Monoplaza Record Company" (A Sublabel of Ersatz Audio). The connection between Rotterdam/The Hague and Detroit was quickly made those days when a new generation of producers came up (including producers such as DBX, Ectomorph and Drexciya) which resulted in collaborations and releases of Adult., Perspects and also Drexciya. These releases by Le Car are the conceptual link between the Detroit techno scene and the heritage of the automotive city that effected everything thats been going on in the city for the last 4-5 decades. Inspired by the electronic musical pioneers that came to rise during the decline of the city which was in full effect during the 80's. Robots replacing humans in the factories, Electronic machines replacing musical instruments. Where the warm Motown sound could stand for the rise of the city, the city's electro/techno movement which appeared in all layers of the population can be seen as the (beautiful) reflection of the city's downfall with Le Car as one understated and important part. Now, 20 years after their first test drive we celebrate the last ride of Le Car on Clone Classic Cuts. Enjoy the ride! (ltd edition 2lp album)

Formed in 2015, Flasher is Taylor Mulitz (of Priests, guitar, vocals), Daniel Saperstein (bass, vocals), and Emma Baker (drums, vocals). Longtime friends, they are also established members of Washington, D.C.’s recently re-emergent DIY music scene. However, while Flasher is a product of that crew, its music operates by different physics. Where their local peers favor direct and volatile gestures, Flasher’s music exists in the tension between conflicting feelings and sensibilities. In the sometimes gritty context of a DIY venue, Flasher manages to project a bit of sensuality. They explore the overlap between aggression and intimacy. Originally, released on cassette in April of 2016 and now reissued on vinyl, the band’s self-titled debut includes seven songs recorded at Lurch, a studio run by Saperstein and OWEN WUERKER (fellow D.C. resident and member of Big Hush). The songs are born from a process of deconstruction and reassembly. Melodic motifs are transmuted into fodder for the rhythm section. Call and response vocals warp and skew established gender roles. Lyrically, the trio take on experiences of shame, guilt, and pleasure, and haul them away from abstraction toward a place of physical expression. The songs are intended as experiment in how far a body—whether composed of flesh and bone, or melody and rhythm—can be restructured and reinvented while remaining desirable or even functional. The results speak to the band’s transformation over the last year, both in personal matters and as artists.

Turbo Recordings is proud to present the definitive collection of remixes for "Planet E", Tiga's collaboration with Hudson Mohawke from this years No Fantasy Required LP. In fact, we're so proud and excited that we're going to jump straight into blow-by-blow trackdescriptions while the passion's hot. 1- Dense & Pika Remix Hypercolour label boss Alex Jones and Chris Spero (aka Glimpse) deliver what canresponsibly be called one of the year's biggest chart-topping smash remixes. This wasalso released on Counter Records as part of Tiga's album deal, so at worst you have aspare copy for your bomb shelter. 2- Danny Daze Polyester Mix We have been trying to get this Miami-based producer on the label for years, and thisremix is the closest we've gotten so far. Sometimes life is about compromise, and if youget enough future-italo-electro hits like this one you may be lucky enough to forget whatyou wanted in the first place. 3- Melé Remix Don't you ever dare say that Turbo doesn't care about young UK producers. Until youstop for good, we'll keep tapping talents like Melé, whose love of Brazilian beats, classichouse tracks, and trans-Atlantic hip-hop shine through on this mix. But while genre checklists are great and vital and exciting and so much of the reason we do what we do, it's the music that's the pudding you'll find your proof in.

Vinyl reissue of 2012 "Psyops For Dummies" with two unreleased tracks: "Hypoalgesia" and "Cognitive Load Theory". Sherard Ingram - DJ STINGRAY - has been an active member in Detroit's electronic music community for nearly 25 years now. Never shy of a collaboration, Ingram spent much of the '90s teaming up with Carl Craig, Anthony 'Shake' Shakir and Kenny Dixon Jr. to create a rich downtempo sound as Urban Tribe, with culminated in the release of 1998's much-lauded The Collapse of Modern Culture album. He was then recruited to be the tour DJ for Drexciya in their final days, taking to the decks as DJ Stingray and masking his face from the audience, something he continues to do for all of his DJ appearances.

Originally released on January 1, 1998 on Headhunter through Cargo Records. This is the first album by The Black Heart Procession. This is the original sound that started the band on it’s way to making six full length albums, several EPs and 7 inches. This journey had them touring all over the world. The sound is bleak and desolate and at times rhythmic yet haunting. This spooky vibe is carried through out all their albums with diversity from track to track. The band members changed through out the years yet the core always remaining Tobias Nathaniel primarily on piano yet sharing many other duties and Pall Jenkins on vocals, guitar and an array of instruments. This album has Mario Rubalcaba on drums. The album was recorded, mixed and mastered in 11 days. The songs were written in the 3 months prior. There is a new twist to the art work using the original designs and photos. Pressed on 180-gram white vinyl, with a double-sided fold-out poster. Edition of 500 copies.

Returning with a more psychedelic sound and a range of guest vocalists that slice through the starkest of electro beats, 'Mystère' sees La Femme celebrating all that's wonderful about their city Paris. Recorded between a castle in Brittany and a Paris basement before being finished up with Sonny Diperri (Animal Collective) in LA, 'Mystère' once again sees backgrounds blurred and worlds collide. The band's chic retro-futurist surf-pop sound possesses the same dose of glamorous punk stomp as previously, but now layered with an elegant fusion of influences including Ennio Morricone, Marie Et Les Garcons, The Velvet Underground, oriental sounds, Turkish disco, Tuareg blues, medieval psychedelia, and mainstays s.a. Brian Eno and Pink Floyd.

As a result they've managed to create a distinctive EP which has a variety of tracks that suits everybody's needs for every club moment. Counterattack opens up with constantly driven synths and sturdy basslines and Ritzi Lee made perfect use of these elements for his remix. Church is the more minimalistic approach compared to Counterattack but when that vocal gets in your head and combined with some hard hitting claps and hihats this track can be played at any time of the evening. And to top things off Remco Beekwilder has made a hard banging remix from this cut as you can expect from the talented producer.

Sound and rhythm are effective means of individual’s self-defence in face of chaotic steamroller of everyday life. Hiding in a familiar yet simultaneously hardly recognisable parallel space does not have to result from the need of escaping the world or nurturing one’s ego. Too many times to mention, music appearing under Recognition imprint served as a peculiar type of a vehicle of survival and a tool for internal transformation. “Hideland”, new record by Polish electronic music producer Jacek Sienkiewicz is released precisely year after “Drifting”, which largely explored tropes of classical club techno sound. Eight (nine in extended CD version) tracks comprising this album go beyond easy-to-pigeonhole genres, creating a microcosm of utopian sound constructs. Surprisingly unobvious and precisely composed release could be fascinating both for loyal fans and for new listeners looking for threads of experimentalism. It’s another intriguing proposal in Jacek Sienkiewicz’s growing discography, but above all - a laboratory where dreams and artistic visions metamorphose into concrete reality.

Automatic rhythms and electronic dancing sound made years after the future. Make up your own mind!

With a fleshy mix of acid and electro cuts from Sync 24, Privacy, Luke Eargoggle, Etcher and -=UHU=-, Berlin's longstanding machine-driven music collective, Mechatronica, forcefully unites the classic and new sound on their first record release.A first-ever collaboration between established electro commanders Luke Eargoggle and Sync 24 opens the record in toxic floor buming fashion, followed by a cold and tightly programmed electro journey by -=UHU=-, blending the mechanic and the monotone in a comment on today's relationship between machine and man.Building on strong previous releases with Lobster Theremin and Klasse Wrecks, Privacy kicks off the flip, taking the tempo down with a booming, melodic electro cut, followed by a funky acid workout by Etcher featuring his signature bubbly basslines and soothing synths.

Detroit enigma Sharif Laffrey makes a return to Paramida’s Berlin-based Love On The Rocks imprint with ‘Pony EP’. The two track EP marks his second release with the label (following ‘Key Jam (A.C.I.D.)’) and his third release in three years - something of a roll for Laffrey who typically allows years to pass between each outing. A-Side: ‘PONY J.A.M.’ Over 9 minutes of what sounds like nineties 4/4 Indian acid-house bass music - in the best way. Surprising vocals & a healthy 3 minute lead in. B-Side: ‘PONY ROGER’ If the pony you were riding on the A-Side was galloping through a grassy meadow - this pony heads into a dark cave. If the A-side is The Never Ending Story then the B-side is The Dark Crystal. But with Prince instead of Bowie. Sharif Laffrey has been playing records and making music for 20 long hard years. Born in Detroit, Michigan - he’s worked on the line checking camshafts for Chryslers & at Submerge for Mike Banks - at the same time. He toured Asia with Juan Atkins and once had to chase a grown man through the streets at night, who had crawled into his living room through an open window. An active member in Detroit’s early rave scene, Sharif remembers booking all foreign gigs with something he calls a fax machine.
