Genre:Rock / Indie
Ultra rare, sought after French acid folk psychedelic masterpiece, Long Orme is the work of singer-guitarist-songwriter Yves Fajnberg, his girlfriend singer Anne Marie Butel plus a full cohort of musician friends. The LP was laid down to a 2 track Revox Reel To Reel recorder between late 1974 and early 1975 and originally released in 1975 by Sonart Disques to such a limited run that an original copy sells nowadays for no less than 400 euros.Together with Yves Chauvet, Fajnberg had worked on Dominique Droin’s Wave On LP issued by Le Kiosque d’Orphée, all done on a small home studio set by Chauvet. They used the same facilities, mainly two 2-track Revox reel-to-reel magnetophones and an 8-track mixer, to produce a delightful peace of poetry and acoustic guitar acid folk sounds which will appeal to fans of artists such as Season, Jeff, Beautiful Losers, Yves, Serge & Victor, Manu Lannhuel, Denis, Jean Yves Tourbin, a.o. Never reissued before, the Wah Wah edition features original sleeve artwork plus an insert with liner notes & interviews by Quentin Orléan. Limited edition, 500 copies only.

With their charming look of exploitation LPs, Sexedelic's Sexedelic and it’s ‘brother’ album The Vampires' Sound Incorporation's Psychedelic Dance Party (also reissued on Wah Wah as LPS185) hide the joint works of German composers Manfred Hübler and Siegfried Schwab that were used on three classic 1970 b-movies directed by Spanish film maker Jess Franco:· Vampyros Lesbos· The Devil Came From Akasava · She Killed In EcstasyBesides the film director and the soundtrack composers, these three films also shared the presence of Spanish actress Soledad Miranda.Manfred Hübler's work, other than the one appeared on these three films, remains pretty unknown - although prior to partnering with Siegfried Schwab he did soundtracks for several other films and TV series from 1966 through 1969, among them Intercontinental Express (TV series, 12 episodes in 1966), Code Name Is Kill (1967), Polizeifunk ruft (TV series, 6 episodes in 1968), Der Partyphotograph (1968) and The Butterfly (1970).Siegfried 'Siggi' Schwab, on the other hand, has an extense career with hundreds of recordings, including soundtracks and records, and is also known as a key member in albums by krautrock bands like Et Cetera or Embryo (his guitar pyrotechnics are big part of the personality of their Father, Son and Holy Ghosts LP which was also reissued on Wah Wah some years ago).Original copies of these LPs could be found for next to nothing in European flea markets until the mid 1990s, when Lucertola Media compiled them both on the 3 Films By Jess Franco CD. The amazing sounds that mixtured jazz pianos, easy listening brass section, psychedelic fuzz guitar, pop harpsichord lines, exotic sitar, and funky bass & drum beats were rediscovered and given new life when a compilation LP featuring the grooviest tracks from both albums was an instant hit which ran high in the alternative music sales charts. The legend grew when 'The Lions And The Cucumber,' opening track from The Vampires' Sound Incorporation's LP, was picked by Quentin Tarantino and given mainstream exposure on his third film Jackie Brown (1997), starring Pam Grier, Robert Forster, Robert de Niro, Samuel L. Jackson, Bridget Fonda and Michael Keaton. The ‘Vampyros Lesbos sound’ became a classic, awakening also new interest on the movies themselves which have been also issued on DVD since then. The music of Hübler and Schwab has also been sampled and revisited by many artists.Since then, original copies of The Vampires' Sound Incorporation and Sexedelic LPs fetch small (and not so small!) fortunes in the collector's market. Now, for the first time, the original albums from which all these amazing tracks were taken from are reissued in its original complete tracklists and sleeve artwork. Owning these two LPs is the only way to have in vinyl format all the original material issued by Hübler and Schwab - all previous reissues omit tracks from the original LPs.Now, for the first time ever, these extremely sought after LPs get a straight reissue in their original artwork, expanded with the inclusion of an 8-page full colour booklet that includes many photos and liner notes.Made in a limited edition of 1000 copies.

Genre:Rock / Indie
The Wynder K. Frog story evolves around Mick Weaver. After he switched from piano to organ he joined a band named The Chapters that would soon be renamed Wynder K. Frog and perform material from James Brown's Flames, Booker T. and The MGs or even songs learned through Georgie Fame's recordings and Graham Bond's repertoire. Wynder K. Frog moved to London and became regulars in the city's R&B scene playing at Swingin' London's clubs like the Tiles or The Marquee. A contract with Island Records was secured and -under the wings of producers like Chris Blackwell, Guy Stevens, Jimmy Miller or Gus Dudgeon- Wynder K Frog, a name that would eventually be used as a pseudonym for Weaver more than a proper band name, did some some amazing Hammond organ-ized recordings and issued in three LPs and a bunch of cool 45s. At the end of the 1960s, Weaver would quit the "band scene" to become one of the most in demand session musicians and throughout his career he'd be heard backing names such as Eric Burdon, Roger Chapman, Dave Gilmour, Keef Hartley, Alexis Korner, Ralph McTell, Taj Mahal or Otis Rush a.o, but his LPs as Wynder K Frog are classic Hammond sound from the 1960s UK and will appeal to those into Brian Auger, Graham Bond, The Artwoods, Zoot Money, Jimmy McGriff, Booker T. & The MGs and the likes.OUT OF THE FRYING PANReleased at the end of the summer of 1968, and with a host of session musicians that included the brass section of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, producer Gus Dudgeon helped Weaver / Wynder K Frog to improve the results obtained on the debut LP and get one step closer to the live action. The formula was more or less the same, instrumental hammond a go go covers of hits from the era, including The Rolling Stones' "Jumping Jack Flash", a funked up version of the classic Tommy Tucker blues number "Hi Heel Sneakers", an exploding cover of "Tequila" or the standard "Green Door", but it also included the sensational Weaver-penned "Harpsichord Shuffle".

Nik's last album, Zero Gravity (Narco NR123) came under the Nik Pascal name and had a fantastic side long piece on the title track which reminisces of the works of Cluster. B side features four tracks that also bear some Conrad Schnitzler reminiscences. This was to be Nik's last LP before he would sell all his synths to ex car racer and future electronic/ambient music star Steve Roach.Besides his musical explorations, Nik was also an interesting painter. His paintings are auctioned from time to time, and are consciousness expanding works influenced by abstract cubism and surrealism, some kind of Salvador Dalí on drugs exploring the outter and inner space. All the artwork on the sleeves of his LPs is done by himself. Spacey landscapes and psychedelic colours that fit perfectly to the music they contain.Never reissued before on vinyl format, the Wah Wah reissue features original sleeve artwork made of paintings and drawings by Nik himself, and reproduction of the famous ironic "Do not listen if you are stoned" sticker. Magnetic Web was released in 1973. It appeared under the Nik Pascal monicker and showed a clear evolution in sound, favoured by the addition of an Arp 2600 and some rhythm boxes. It also included percussions and cymbals. The Two Headed Dog site thinks "this is his masterpiece in all of its acid-laced glory."Besides his musical explorations, Nik was also an interesting painter. If you check the credits of The Rolling Stones' Goats Head Soup LP from 1973 you'll find a certain "Pascal" listed on the percussion section. That is none other than Los Angeles based artist Nicolas Pascal Raicevik (1933-1994), aka 107-34-8933, aka Head, aka Nik Pascal, aka Nik Raicevic. Besides his hitting the bongoes on the Stones album, Nik was a great artist on his own, both as a painter and as a musician. As a musician, he was a pioneer in the use of synthesizers, preceeding the Berlin school by some years when his Head LP was released on on Buddah in 1970. Buddah probably saw in Head the opportunity to cash in some money from the remains of the psychedelic scene - the three tracks on the LP are named after drugs used in the late sixties. The sounds, however, are accomplished works that show Raicevic as one of the most interesting pioneers in the use of synths. The album probably didn't do too well, since Buddah didn't renew the contract with Raicevic, who instead took his own way releasing his works on his very own Narco Records and Tapes label. Between 1968 and 1975 Narco would issue 4 LPs credited either to Nik Raicevic (Beyond The End... Eternity) or Nik Pascal (The Sixth Ear, Magnetic Web and Zero Gravity) plus one credited to 107-34-8933 (Numbers, which is in fact the same LP as Buddah's Head, albeit with different cover art). Copies of these LPs came with an ironic sticker over the shrinkwrap that read "Do not listen to this LP if you are stoned".

Last', the third LP by krautrock legends Agitation Free, was originally released in 1976 on Barclay in France as a posthumous LP that included tracks from '73 and '74. Agitation Free had been formed in 1967 by Lutz 'Lüül' Ülrich, Michael 'Fame' Günther, Lutz 'Ludwig' Kramer and Christoph Franke. They soon gained the residency as the house band on Berlin's Zodiac Club with their impressive multimedia stage show. By 1973 they had already released two LPs and suffered several line-up changes and the members of the band that recorded 'Last' included Michael Günther on bass, Burghard Rausch on drums, plus Jörg Schwenke and Lutz Ulbrich on guitars, plus friends - Erhard Grosskopf on loops, Michael Hoenig on sinthesizer, a.o. Although the album was first released in 1976, side one was recorded live in France in March 1973 and side two live in the studio in Berlin, February 1974. But don't be fooled by this, the whole LP sounds as a proper studio recording, no intrusive audience noises, perfect mix, outstanding audio quality.Fans of Can, Guru Guru, Faust or Tangerine Dream will enjoy the sound of Agitation Free, where all elements of acid guitar krautrock mix to perfection with experimental sounds, kosmische atmospheres and tape looping. The Wah Wah reissue respects the original artwork, features an insert with photos and liner notes and comes in a strictly limited edition of 500 copies only.

Weaver was assuming more and more the identity of Wynder K Frog and was backed by session musicians rather than by his live band. It consisted in organ led instrumental covers of songs from the Island catalogue, some built over rejected backing tracks for other artists of the label like Jimmy Cliff, Jackie Edwards and Owen Gray and some new recordings of hits like Spencer Davis Group's "Somebody Help Me", plus some covers of american R&B hits by the likes of Sam & Dave, Willie Mitchell or Wilson Pickett. The end result gave an idea of the Wynder K Frog sound, resulting in a top mix of dance club go-go sounds, perfect for any allnighter at the Tiles or any Swingin' London venue of the 1960s. The Book of AM* is a collection of inspirational songs, poems and stories composed in different parts of the world through the millennia up to the present day and edited and set to music and graphics by Juan Arkotxa and Leslie MacKenzie. The Book expresses core themes from Eastern and Western philosophical and religious traditions and it follows the cycle of day with five parts - Dawn, Morning, Afternoon, Evening and Night. When the Book was first published in 1977 the incomplete Part V, NIGHT, was not incorporated into the four part publication (Part I published in Paris 1978, and Parts I, 2, 3, and 4 were published by Wah-Wah Records in 2004 and 2010). At last the final part NIGHT has been completed and is presented here as the conclusion of this long project. We have used recordings from that time, 1977, and combined with musical and technical collaboration, mainly from oG, (introduced to us by the member of the Book of AM team Will Z and also part of the Belgium group Cosmic Trip Machine) who joined us for this project and has brought his own form of genius to the mix, adding, along with Will Z, extra overdubs to our original recordings, as well as making an invaluable contribution to the composition, mixing and mastering by which we have achieved a sound different from the previous AM albums, more ethereal and informal but at the same time surprising and powerful which steps out of the standard songs format and creates a befitting space for the nocturnal and final mood of this project.

The most elusive Edigsa 7" gets its first ever vinyl reissue on Wah Wah. An unsung moody garage folk-rock act, Brenner's Folk where the embryonic Pic-Nic (of "Cállate niña" fame) and featured a very young Jordi 'Toti' Soler right after he had gone through Els Xerracs (who also had released an EP on Edigsa), drummer Jordi Barangé (also from Els Xerracs) and brothers Vytas and Haakon Brenner. The Brenner brothers were born in Germany but grew up in Venezuela, where their family had emigrated after the devastation of World War II. The Brenner family would return several years later to establish in Europe, first in Italy and later in Barcelona. The new band started to rehearse under the name of The Vytas Brenner Quartet, and their main influences came from american modern folk acts like Peter Paul and Mary or The Mamas & The Papas, a.o. Not long after they started rehearsing, a very young Jeanette joined them thus becoming Brenner's Folk. Edigsa approached them and offered a contract for the recording of their only EP, sung in catalan and issued in 1966. A showcase of their folk and folk rock influences, the Brenner's Folk 7" is a lo fi garagey jewel that has become an elusive piece due to the importance that its band members would gather in years to come. Toti Soler became the biggest master of guitar, he went to psychedelic and progressive / jazz rock with Om prior to trading in his electric for a Spanish guitar and pioneering instrumental flamenco jazz rock fussion sound on his early solo albums. He is still active nowadays, he is one the biggest Catalan geniuses of modern guitar. The Brenner brothers returned to Venezuela where Vytas became a big solo act, recording the sought after LPs "La Ofrenda de Vytas" and "Hermanos" with his brother Haakon on production duties. Vytas continued a solo carrer that would last until his premature death in 2004 at only 57 due to a heart attack. Jeanette, of course, went on to lead the successful Pic-Nic along with Toti Soler and later enjoyed a successful solo career in the 1970s and 1980s, plus a come back in the early 2000s.The 4 original Catalan sung tunes will appeal to lovers of Catalan sixties aborigen sounds, Euro & Nederbiet or American teen moody folk rock garage a la Rising Storm, Dovers, Nightcrawlers, Tormentors and the likes.A facsimile reproduction of this mega rare EP, originally released on Edigsa in 1966, coming with remastered sound and an insert with lyrics, photos and notes.

Issued on le Kiosque d'Orphée in 1979, Voyage aux fonds de la Mer is the only LP by Alain Meunier (not to be confused with French classical music cellist of the same name), and is one of the most elusive collector pieces of the 1970s electronic experimental French scene. This rare sought after album starts with an instrumental guitar introduction but from the second track onwards it becomes a totally electronic experimental psychedelic trip that can be aligned with the most kosmische side of kraut rock, and of course also with other works by French experimentalists of the era like Pascal Comelade's Fluence or Richard Pinhas' production (including Heldon). Guitar comes in now and then showing also a certain Robert Fripp influence.Instruments used according to the insert sheet that came with the LP are a Korg 800 DV synthesizer, a K.O. Welson Clavinet, effects like a Fender Echo or a Electroharmonix Small Stone phaser and a fuzz pedal, plus Meunier also used a Gibson Les Paul Custom Guitar, a 12 string acoustic Eko guitar and a 6 string Morris guitar.First ever vinyl reissue. Under the alias of Zanov we find the works of French electronic pioneer Pierre Salkazanov, who had started playing guitar in the 1960s in a Shadows styled band, Les Ambassadors. Instrumental rock was not enough for Salkazanov, he was always looking for evolution, so when a meeting with French synth player Serge Ramses (of "Secret" fame) got him into the world of synthesizers he just dived deep into the bourgeoning world of electronic music. He got himself an EMS VCS3 and started producing works into a 4-track Teac tape machine. French music was at its best, it was the time of Jean Michel Jarre, Didier Bocquet, Richard Pinhas and Heldon, Alain Meunier... Even Gong's Tim Blake was living in France at that time. By the time of his second LP, Moebius 256 301, issued also on Polydor in 1977, Zanov had already gathered a small collection of gear, including an ARP 2600 and an ARP sequencer, his old VCS3, an RMI Harmonic and a PS 3300. Again under the influence of both first and second generation of Berlin school musicians the LP will appeal to fans of Klaus Schulze or Tangerine Dream, but they will also find a big deal of Zanov's own personal sound on it, since as the musician himself reckons he had little contact with other peers of his generation, so besides a general love for the electronic gear used and the sounds you could make out of them the creative ideas behind his works were all his own. On his second album a richer sound is found, not only due to the use of the new gear, since some of its tracks where recorded using only his old EMS, but also due to his won experience after having taken his works to the life stages in the Golf Drouot boite, the Lase Olympia venue (on the basement of the famous Olympia), the Paris Planetarium or those for planned one month tour (of which in the end only four dates were accomplished).Zanov's three albums met with unanimous critical acclaim for the sound quality as well as for the originality of this very personal universe. We offer the first ever vinyl reissue of Zanov's Moebius 256 301 under license from Pierre Salkazanov himself and with his cooperation, in a limited edition of 500 copies that reproduce its original artwork, come with remastered sound and an 8 page insert with liner notes and photos courtesy of www.audionautas.com plus one bonus 7" with previously unreleased on vinyl format material.

It is a work made with minimal equipment if compared to other French sythetists, not to mention their German peers, he worked on the EMS VCS3 synth and used a 4-track Teac and a Revox A77 Mk IV reel to reel tape recorders obtaining huge sound results. You can appreciate an influence from the Berlin school, Green Ray walks the same path of what artists like Tangerine Dream and the likes were producing at the time, Zanov had felt under the spell of Ricochet, but his head was boiling with ideas which gave the recordings a very personal, unique touch.Zanov's three albums met with unanimous critical acclaim for the sound quality as well as for the originality of this very personal universe. We offer the first ever vinyl reissue of Zanov's Green Ray under license from Pierre Salkazanov himself and with his cooperation, in a limited edition of 500 copies that reproduce its original artwork, come with remastered sound and an 8 page insert with liner notes and photos courtesy of www.audionautas.com plus one bonus 7" with previously unreleased on vinyl format material.

Coming out of the boiling Munich scene of the sixties that also gave us the original Amon Düül (Thom Argauer had played in a dixieland band with Chris Karrer in the late 60s, actually), Siloah are one of the best kept secrets of the krautrock production. In 1972 Siloah had suffered a certain number of changes. Thom Argauer was still leading the project, but since his coleagues had left the farm in which they were all leaving he had to start again with new members Markus Krug and Florian Laber. He also looked for a more electric approach, himself moving from acoustic guitar to electric organ.'Sukram Gurk' was the title chosen for their second LP. It was the name of Markus Krug spelled backwards. Markus' name was chosen because it was the one that sounded better phonetically to the ears of the trio. The sound of the album takes it all one step further, turning into an electric storm, yet retaining the free psychedelic improvisation feel of its predecessor. The Wah Wah reissue is made in cooperation with Thom Argauer family, it has been cut from the original master tapes, has one bonus track not on the original LP added, features an insert with photos and liner notes and comes in a strictly limited edition of 500 copies only.

Coming out of the boiling Munich scene of the sixties that also gave us the original Amon Düül (Thom Argauer had played in a dixieland band with Chris Karrer in the late 60s, actually), Siloah are one of the best kept secrets of the krautrock production. Siloah had a hard core including Thom Argauer, Manuela von Perfall, Heinrich 'Tiny' Stricker and Wolfgang Görner, plus a host of guests coming and going, everybody was free to join and play at any time, guest members often joining from the Baumstassen commune around which the band was living before they eventually moved to an abandoned farm on the outskirts of town.Their first LP is a trippy acid psychmasterpiece recorded in 1970 and privately issued on German Blues and Undergrund. It showed a strong influence from US West Coast psychedelic music and has a lovely acoustic approach. It's sound is free, full of improvisation and with a charming amateurish feel all through it. It will appeal to lovers of free spirits like Amon Düül themselves, Kalacakra or even Música Dispersa. The Wah Wah reissue is made in cooperation with Thom Argauer family, it has been cut from the original master tapes, has original artwork (improved by printing it over a mirror finish silver cardboard), has two bonus track not on the original LP added, features an insert with photos and liner notes and comes in a strictly limited edition of 500 copies only.

Jean-Jacques Perrey has long been recognized as a pioneer of electronic music. Along with his musical partner at the time, Gershon Kingsley, the duo recorded a landmark album: The In Sound From Way Out, which was released by Vanguard Records in 1966. Perrey went on to record over 24 more albums of electronic music during his lifetime. But prior to this seminal electronic album Perrey already had an impressive career as an electronic music pioneer, having been the demo man for Georges Jenny's Ondioline, one of the very first proto-synthesizers.Musique Electronic du Cosmos actually predates The In Sound From Way Out. The exact date is unknown, but it was probably recorded around 1962-3. Only 500 copies of Musique Electronique du Cosmos were produced. Some of the songs from this album later turned up on television commercials, most notably the song “Chicken On The Rocks”, which was used in a television commercial by the Ideal Toy Company in the ‘60s.The tracks on side 2 of this reissue are from a very rare demonstration disc. Only one copy of this record is known to exist. It was purchased in an eBay auction by Spanish record collector and DJ, Raül G. Pratginestós (a.k.a. DJ Zero). As the hand-typed record label shows, the songs were originally transferred from tape to disc at A&R Recording, a studio owned and operated by New Yorkers Jack Arnold and Phil Ramone. (Ramone went on to become one of the most successful record producers of all time.) It is difficult to place a date as to when this acetate record was cut, but Perrey left New York in early 1971, so it would certainly have been from before that.Comes in a nice three backflapped sleeve with original artwork with a colour insert including photos and liner notes written by Dana Countryman in a limited edition of 500 copies only.

"1979 follow-up to his Eclipse debut, Voyage Cerebral was the second effort by french synthetist Didier Bocquet. Like the first album, it was recorded on his own private studio and self-released, this time via legendary french custom label FVLM ("Faites Le Vous-Même", meaning "Do It Yourself"). Inspired by the first wave of german kosmische sound-travellers (Klaus Schulze and Tangerine Dream and the whole Berlin School spring inmediately to mind) but retaining that typical french urgency that places it close to Heldon / Pinhas, Lard Free or even Besombes / Rizet territory. In-your-face sequenced electronic music that sounds both spacy and violent at the same time whilst keeping a certain lo-fi, self produced vibe. Recommended to fans of all things “kosmische” and synth music in general."Raül G. Pratginestós (Fauni Gena)

Synthesizer king J.B. Banfi, a.k.a. Giuseppe 'Baffo' Banfi, hit the record market with the great italian prog rock outfit Biglietto per l'Inferno who released a legendary LP in 1974 on Trident and have been reivindicated in several occasions since with the release of lost recordings from the era as well as unearthing an unreleased 1974 live album. The band existed between 1972 and 1975, and had both Pilly Cossa on Hammond doing the virtuoso work and Baffo's keyboard explorations adding sound texture and atmosphere. Their second LP was recorded and mixes were to be produced by Klaus Schulze, but it remained unissued due to the Trident label flop. The band split shortly after this, but Baffo continued his experiments with electronic keyboards. In 1978 Baffo released his first solo LP 'Galaxy My Dear', credited to J.B.Banfi and echoing huge influences from his friend and master Klaus Schulze, who would also produce his two next releases. A total DIY domestic home recording, with all the limitations implied but also with all its warmness within, 'Galaxy My Dear' is entirely played by Banfi and shows an accurate taste in his use of the synths, plus of course a strong kraut / cosmiche appeal that links the album's sound to that of the early Tangerine Dream or Ash Ra Tempel, but also brings a hint of Jean-Michel Jarre or even a certain reminiscence of the early electronic experiments by Franco Battiato and is a good contender to be filed along other Wah Wah reissues like those of Roberto Cacciapaglia or Franco Leprino.Comes in original artwork with notes written by Baffo Banfi himself in a limited edition of 500 copies only.

After the big success of our reissue of Günter Schickert’s amazing Samtvogel LP we present another of his projects, GAM - on which he joined Axel Struck and Michael Leske. A powerful trio of mindexpanding krautrock sounds formed in 1973, they recorded their first sessions in 1976, improvising directly to tape in Schickert’s basement - but these weren’t released until 1986, originally in cassette format - reissued some years later on CD. The sound of GAM 1976 differs a bit to that of Samtvogel. Obviously, this is a band effort delivering their guts in a one take session, while on Samtvogel Schickert was playing all the parts, layering one after the other using the sound on sound facilities of his reel to reel recorder. Here, instead, we have an energetic echo charged jam that takes us through diffrerent atmospheres and moods, a hidden gem in krautrock's cosmische history legacy.Wah Wah presents the first ever vinyl LP edition of the 1976 GAM tapes. In remastered sound, and including a nice insert with photos. Limited edition of 500 copies only.

Steve Howe's recording career began as early as 1964 under the production of Joe Meek when he was the lead guitarist of the savage R&B outfit The Syndicats. He then joined The In Crowd, who soon became Tomorrow, legendary pioneers of UK psychedelia who along with Pink Floyd and Soft Machine changed the face of pop music forever. When Tomorrow's singer Keith West's first solo single became a huge success (it was a part of the "lost" Teenage Opera project by Mark Wirtz) all band members went their separate ways. Drummer Twink joined The Pretty Things and then formed The Pink Fairies, bassist Junior Wood -along with Twink- tried luck in Aquarian Age and Steve Howe accompanied West on tour before finally giving birth to Bodast in 1968.Bodast was formed by Steve Howe (Guitar), Dave Curtiss (bass, vocals) and Bobby Clark (drums). The name was creatied by taking the first two letters of their names (BObby, DAve, STeve). Curtiss and Clark where veterans of the early UK scene, having been members of Screaming Lord Sutch's Savages or Vince Taylor's Playboys, and they had also worked in France backing Françoise Hardy. They were soon joined by Clive Skinner (vocals) and Bruce Thomas (bass), and also acted for a while as Canto. While back in the era no recordings of Bodast saw the light of day, the fact is that they did record a whole LP under the production of Keith West. Ten incredible songs that are the missing link between Tomorrow and Yes, a stunning progressive opus which still has it's share of psychedelia, and which should have been a classic since day one but, sadly, the album was filed and left unreleased, and Bodast finally disbanded. Howe got some offers to join other established groups. He took the one from Yes, with whom he soon entered the studio to record The Yes Album, to which he added parts of the lost Bodast compositions (the most evident being Nether Street, an important part of it ended up in Starship Troopers). And the rest, as they say, is history. The Bodast LP finally saw the light of day in 1981, when Cherry Red issued 8 of the recorded songs as The Bodast Tapes. The original tapes had been newly remixed by Steve Howe himself. It was, again, issued in the 1990s by C5, same remix, with the addition of two extra tracks. That version was also available on CD. In 2000 RPM released a new CD version, this time rescuing the original 1968 mixes, and with the addition of four tracks by Canto (essentially the same band, who changed the name for a while). Now, for the first time ever on vinyl the original 1968 mixes, which are rawer than those early eighties ones done by Steve Howe, are issued by Wah Wah Records Supersonic Sounds, on a limited edition of only 500 copies, housed in a nice three backflaps sleeve like they did them in the UK in the sixties!

After his adventure with My Solid Ground, Ingo Werner formed Baba Yaga. Named after the Slavic folklore character his new adventure seemed to be more a solo project (he plays electric piano, piano, mellotron, synthesizer, organ, clavinet, bassoon and gong, besides being the composer of the music), but it is made with the cooperation of other musicians - most notably Bernd Weidmann who, in addition to singing and playing bass also contibuted with some lyrics. Other musicians in the recording are Joska Fiedermutz on drums, plus Winfried Schreiber and Jürgen Dyrauf on guitars. Songs on this debut album, which was originally issued in 1974 as a very limited edition on the very small Cycle label have been compared to some UK prog-rock works like those of Cressida, Aardvark, Egg, Arzachel, Fantasy or Greenslade. As the LP plays on, echoes of the Canterbury scene can be heard through some jazzy influences, and some heavy-psych and cosmic avant-garde athmospheres created by Werner's intelligent use of synthesizers, are thrown in.Reissued on vinyl for the first time ever, the Wah Wah edition is limited to 500 copies only - get yours before it flies!

Michael Edward "Mike" Cotton hit the UK professional jazz circuit with his trad jazz outfit The Mike Cotton Jazzmen in the 1950s. The Mike Cotton Jazzmen recorded three singles and one EP for Columbia between 1961 and 1963, prior to moving from jazz to a more pop / R&B oriented style and a band name change to The Mike Cotton Sound. They were regulars in the London R&B / Mod club circuit of the early sixties and in 1964 they released one single and their eponymous LP on Columbia, plus one single on Denmark's branch of the Metronome label. They would be releasing other 45s through 1965, and inn 1966 their style evolved again, entering the field of soul music and performing and recording as Lucas and The Mike Cotton Sound. Lucas was Bruce McPherson Lucas, an american singer who had previously been working with other bands in the Norwich area. The Mike Cotton Sound also acted as a backing band, both live and in the studio, for artists such as Sugar Pie DeSanto, Gene Pitney, Stevie Wonder, Doris Troy, The Four Tops and Solomon Burke. They also backed Mary Hopkin in her classic Postcard LP for The Beatles' Apple Records. Their brass section, which included Mike Cotton himself on trumpet and flugelhorn, joined The Kinks on their 1971 Muswell Hillbillies album and stayed with them until the mid 1970s, when Cotton returned to the jazz scene.Wah Wah offers the first ever official vinyl format reissue of The Mike Cotton Sound classic LP, released in a gorgeus front laminated sleeve with three backflaps, featuring 5 bonus tracks taken from non-LP singles and an insert with photos and liner notes.

Born in 1940 in Berlin, Ralf Nowy's musical interest was first exposed to an audience during his school years, when he formed his first rock'n'roll band in the late fifties. After graduation from the Konservatorium, he joined the German jazz scene and also worked for the Saaerland radio station. His recording career began recording exploitation albums designed for dance parties, following the path opened in Germany by artists like Paul Nero (a.k.a. Klaus Doldinger). But with the rise of the krautrock scene he became interested in new, more experimental sounds and joined forces with Paul Vincent (who had played in Klaus Doldinger's Motherhood, from which he would go on to form Hallellujah) and Keith Forsey (also from Hallellujah) - the three, under the name The Ralf Nowy Group, became on of the hottest acts of the Munich scene.Lucifer's Deram was issued on Global in 1973 and offered an interesting mixture of instrumental sounds which moved freely from psychedelic pop to jazz, progressive rock, and ethnic touches... even some funky guitar is present! In addition to Ralf Nowy (flutes, alto saxophone, oboe), Paul Vincent (guitars) and Keith Forsey (drums) the recording sessions counted on the faboulous work of Al Gromer (Amon Düül, Popol Vuh, etc.) and Liz van Nienhoff on sitar, Gary Unwin and Lothar Meid on bass, Sylvester Levay and Don Anderson on pianos, Andy Marx on guitar, Bernie Prock on percussion and Sankha Chatterjee on tablas. Ralf Nowy has also contributed on works by Drosselbart, Improved Sound Limited, Tender Aggression, a.o.First time reissued on vinyl, comes in remastered sound, housed in a fantastic glossy laminated gatefold sleeve reproducing the original artwork, insert with liner notes and the attractive of being an exclusive 500 copies only edition!

& The MGs and the likes.INTO THE FIREThe third Wynder K Frog album was released only in the USA in 1970, once Weaver had already abandoned the project and started his session musician career. Out Of The Frying Pan was doing well in the States, copies still selling steadily since it had appeared, and United Artists thought it'd be a good idea to release it under the Into The Fire title in order to present it as kind of a sequel to Frying Pan. The material, mostly written by Weaver and his side men for the sessions, takes the sound one step further adding heavier sounds and funkier rhythms, not far from what was being done in USA studios like Muscle Shoals at that time.

Wah Wah Records proudly presents the amazing, never released before, second 45 recorded by Vértice in 1970!Vértice featured ace guitar hero Max Sunyer (Tapiman, Iceberg, Pegasus...) and the members of Los Go-Go, including soulfoul vocalist Jordi Querol. They were signed to Diábolo, the seminal progressive music label from Barcelona that also issued the early recordings by Màquina!, Agua de Recaliz (later to change their name to Pan & Regaliz), Gualberto, Smash, Nuevos Tiempos, a.o.On Diábolo Vértice released their first 45, Take Me Away / You're Not Real, on which they already showcased their amazing Eric Clapton / Peter Green eras John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers or early Fleetwood Mac's R&B sound with tons of guitar pyrotechnics and heavy mod Hammond galore. The surprise came when thanks to Màquina's vocalist and archivist Jordi Batiste we discovered the surviving original masters for Vértice's planned second 45. What a sound! It is a superb follow u to their great debut single. A side is an explosive mod floor filler, while on B they explore the world of slower bluesy guitar ballads in the best Peter Green tradition. The departure of Max Sunyer to join Tapiman ended Vértice's career, it might have been interesting to have a whole LP of their own compositions.

This splendid catalan Jazz LP was originally released on Edigsa in 1968 and sees its first ever vinyl reissue here. Barcelona has always had a boiling jazz scene, and since the 1960s a strong focal point of the city jazzmen has been the Jamboree Club, in the centric Plaça Reial. The Jamboree was a regular point for al American artists doing the European jazz circuit, as it was for all European acts and, of course for the local talent. Among these, a young quartet formed by alto sax & flute player Ricard Roda, pianist Ricard Miralles, bassist Enric Ponsa and drummer Joan-Josep Tudurí became regular on the club's night gigs. The four musicians were experienced jazzmen in the Barcelona circuit, having already played in several outfits and accompanied several soloists when they gathered together for this experience. Ricard Roda had a vast experience in the local jazz scene, having started when he was only seventeen in the Crazy Boys orchestra in 1948. He was also a close friend of Tete Montoliu since they studied together in Barcelonas Conservatorium. In the seventies he was a member of the Orquesta Mirasol Colores, pioneers of jazz rock fussion in Barcelona, and he also played with musicians outside the jazz scene like Joan Manuel Serrat or Xavier Cugat, and even with Liza Minelli. Ricard Miralles was the son of trumpetist and conductor Jaime Miralles, he often attended and played at the Kit Kat Club jam sessions in the early sixties, where he met with bassist Manuel Elías. They both debuted as proffessionals accompaining "Pocholo" and became regulars in the city's jazz circuit. Miralles became a composer and arranger and worked with musicians like Francesc Pi de la Serra or Joan Manuel Serrat. Enric Ponsa was one of the most in demand local bassists, and Joan-Josep Tudurí was the youngest talent of the pack. They were approached by Edigsa to record one of the most interesting Catalan jazz albums of the sixties. Supposed to be a first volume in a series of Jamboree related jazz, it opened with the great Ricard Miralles penned piece "Asteriscs", and then moved to a couple of standars ("Stella by Starlight", "On Green Dolphin Street"). B side showed a love for more modern jazzers, including Winton Kelly's "Kelly Blues", John Coltrane's "Theme For Ernie" ,Charlie Parker's "C.T.A." and Miles Davis´s “ Solar “ Bonus TrackLovers of modern jazz and labels like Blue Note or Prestige will enjoy this first ever vinyl reissue, original artwork in nicely proper backflapped sleeve (improving a bit the quality of the Edigsa sleeves from the era which were a mere paper folded by the middle), remastered sound, in a limited edition of 500 copies only plus one bonus track.

Originally released on Philips in 1970, Zweistein's trippy kraut psych experimental masterpiece gets its first vinyl reissue ever. Even more experimental than Faust, Kraftwerk or Cluster, their only album was a triple LP housed in a marvelous double gatefold cover, all made in silver & gold cardboard, with the front embossed and featuring a small mirror on it. Electronically adventurous, the sounds give you what's promised in the title in the form of an avantgarde collage produced by Suzanne Doucet -a successful pop singer and TV guest then, and now a famous voice in New Age music- with the help of her sister Diane and sound engineer Peter Kramper, who besides his recognised work as a studio wizard starting with many German beat bands like The Rattles or The Blizzards and later remixing albums by the likes of Hawkwind a.o. He also played synthesizer in some Amon Düül albums an records by other krautrock travellers like Utopia's 1973's self titled LP.At the time Suzanne didn't want to link the avantgarde experiments collected here with her succesful pop career, so she used a pseudonym and signed the production as Jacques Dorian, while the recordings were issued as being made by a whole band named Zweistein. The photo you see on the cover of their only 45, here included as a bonus, show the Doucet sisters surrounded by friends who where ask to play any instrument they could, be a tambourine, a flute or simply stomp their feet on the ground, on the sessions. The Wah Wah reissue has been licensed from Suzane Doucet, comes with remastered sound and will include one bonus 7" reissue of their non LP single. Formed in Newport, Wales, in 1967 Blonde On Blonde took their name from Bob Dylan's groundbreaking 1966 double LP. Original members Ralph Denyer (vocals, guitar), Les Hicks (drums), Richard Hopkins (bass, organ) and Gareth Johnson (guitar, sitar) moved to London in 1968 and played in the psychedelic underground club scene. They also appeared on the BBC series How Late It Is. By 1969 they already had one LP out on Pye, Contrasts, which helped them secure a gig at that summers Isle Of Wight festival. When Denyer left to join Aquila long time friend David Thomas joined the band bringing a harder rock oriented sound and and progressive rock feel. The new line up switched from Pye to Ember where they released their second LP, Rebirth, in 1970. Sad news came in 1971 whith the death of Richard Hopkins. The band, however, found a replacement in Graham Davis and went on to record their third and last album in 1971, also on Ember: Reflections On A Life.Blonde On Blonde's sound has rooted firmly in UK psychedelia with a progressive edge, they mixtured a wide range of influences and echoes of The Pink Floyd, Jefferson Airplane, Cream, Hendrix or The Who lived in perfect harmony with touches of The Incredible String Band imagery in their lyrics. Reflections On A Life is the album in which all the contrasts that make the Blonde On Blonde sound go further ahead in adventure and experimentation, includig surreal out of this world touches a la Syd Barrett. It is an album that plays with the contrast between countryside and big city, as Dave Thomas himself remembers :"There was something very special about being able to live a life split between two worlds, one quiet and countrified, and the other - on the road or in the heart of London's nightlife!I think you can hear that contrast in the music itself: a mixture of focused energy and laid-back calm. It was a reflection of the way we lived and worked. We all came from a heavily industrialised Welsh seaport that was closely surrounded by mountains and wild romantic countryside; it was the contrast that inspired us.And it still inspires me. I am about to release a new Blonde On Blonde album. The music's already 'in the can' and includes songs from Blonde On Blonde's live performances that were not previously released. It also includes some very recent material. The new album is called "Coldharbour" (another name for my hometown Newport). It was hearing "Rebirth" again that brought me determination to complete the project."First ever legit vinyl LP reissue in a limited run of only 500 copies, including an insert with tons of photos. One of the rarest psychedelic blues rock kiwi LPs gets at last an official vinyl reissue respecting its original artwork. Space Farm formed in 1971 out of the ashes of The Underdogs. When Neil Edwards quit to join Human Instinct, the remaining Underdog members Harvey Mann and Glen Absolum decided to reform under the Space Farm monicker with the addition of bass player Billy Williams and saxophonist Bob Gillet. Zodiac released their LP in 1972 featuring Harvey Mann on vocals. A second version of the album featured Underdogs' vocalist Murray Grinder replacing Mann's vocal track. This second version is the one that was issued in 1989 on the Little Wing label as 'Going Back To Eternity'.The Wah Wah version features the original Harvey Mann vocal. Even though Grinder is undoubtedly a better singer than Mann the original mix is stronger and powerful and makes more justice to the high energy Hendrix influenced sound of the band, plus it makes it the very first official vinyl reissue of the original LP.Comes in original artwork with nice vintage style three backflapped sleeve, insert with liner notes by Nick Bollinger and two reproduction of original posters in a limited edition of 500 copies only.

"Inhabiting this grey area between late psych efforts and early PINA (private issue new age), 1977's Pythagoron TM is an electronic oddity originally marketed as some sort of musical narcotic (“a new invention that gets you high with sound” original ads read) sold via magazines like High Times.Shrouded by it's corporate-like design are two enigmatic side long suites of droning electronics which evoke similar autistic synth experiences like early Conrad Schnitzler, Lorq Damon, Udder Milk Decay or the whole Pascal / Narco Records output whilst recalling also more articulate efforts such as Steve Reich's early opus, Charlemagne Palestine's sinewave experiments or Eliane Radigue's synthetic bliss.A truly bizarre artifact which was apparently the brainchild of NYC's early media art collective USCO (The Company Of Us) which already pionered inmersive sound/light environments fusing mysticism and state-of-the-art technology back in the 60's. Issued in 1983 as a limited private pressing, ‘Die Erde und Ich sind Eins’ was Florian Fricke’s first ‘solo’ LP. It features the guitar of his Popol Vuh partner Daniel Fichelsher and vocals by Anni Morris Wieland, Bettina Fricke Waldthausend, Dieter Prym, Florian Fricke, Friedemann Berger, Friedemann Wieland, Gisela Von Doering, Ingeborg Jahnke, Jan Lorck-Shjmerning, Jana Faust, Karl F. Weber and Klaudia Wieland.‘You could label it as ‘body-space-music’ (Körperraummusik) where you sing inside the body and take it in such a way that every cell in the body, from the sole of the foot to the crown of the head, starts to vibrate. In order to be able to realise this I have experimented to find where speech resonates in the body. The consonants vibrate at the body walls, the bones and flesh and the vowels fill the body spaces. And that sounds like a gong-concert: it also has a great therapeutic effect.’ (FLORIAN FRICKE)Being a private pressing 'Die erde un ich sind eins' has become one of the rarest LPs in the Popol Vuh saga, a mint original may cost you over 400 euros. Sweet Marie was formed in late 1969 amidst the turmoil of the Vietnam War and the wild music scene of Hollywood. Prince Teddy, a producer at Capital Records and a songwriter/musician, had a vision for a rock and roll trio with rich harmonies and psychedelic undertones. Sonny Lathrop played guitar and Willy Bims drums. Bims had been the drummer for the songwriters Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart and played on the recordings of many of their hits from the 1960s and ‘70s including most of the recordings by The Monkees. Their sophomore album Stuck In Paradise soon shot straight up the charts with the song “Stella’s Candy Store” and became the biggest hit for the band, this time internationally. The band couldn’t leave their house on Hawaii without being mobbed by crowds wanting pictures and asking for autographs while their songs played constantly on the radio. They were making appearances on TV and writing songs for commercials and played the Crater Festival in Hawaii with Carlos Santana and did shows with other famous groups such as The RascalsFeaturing Augie Colon on congas and bird calls from paradise! He was the man behind those legendary percussions in Martin Denny's 1956 hit song 'Quiet Village'!Limited edition of only 500 copies. Remastered sound, original gatefold artwork plus a colour insert.

You may probably remember the name of Howard Wales due to his association with The Grateful Dead's Jerry Garcia, but besides those important collaborations Wales has also produced some highly interesting solo material. Among it, one of the best jazz funk / psych fussion albums ever: Rendezvous With The Sun. Wales had played backing artists such as Ronnie Hawkins, Lonnie Mack, James Brown or The Four Tops as a session musician before becoming a member of psychedelic blues combo AB Shky, who moved from Milwaukee to the San Francisco Bay Area. He then explored the worlds that span somewhere between psychedelia and funk when forming part of Shades Of Joy, the band that recorded Alejandro Jodorowsky's Music Of El Topo LP in 1970. That same year he joined forces with Jerry Garcia and released the acclaimed Hooteroll? album.Rendezvous With The Sun was released on Costal Records in 1976 and contained ten splendid jazz funk psych fussion songs, the mixture of different styles Wales is so good at. The musicians that contributed in the recording sessions where basically the same that had accompanied him and Jerry Garcia on the Hooteroll Band in 1972: Jim Vincent on guitar, Tom Donlinger on drums and of course Wales on keyboards, augmented by Pete Escovido on percussion and congas, Doug Killmer, Peter Marshall and Roger "Jelly Roll" Troy on bass, Bill Champlin on guitar, Pat Gleason on synth and seven horn players, including Martin Fierro, Jock Ellis, Chuck Bennet, Jane Woodworth and three members of Frank Zappa's Petit Wazoo ensemble: Gary Barone, Mike Altschul and Sal Marquez.Part 2 of the title track was once compiled in a split single (Bruno Spoerri's 'Les Électroniciens' was on flipside) on Jazzman Records.First ever vinyl reissue, with remastered sound and an insert with notes. Comes with a bonus 7" EP that features the two tracks from the mega rare, sought after Wales Costal Records single plus two previously unreleased gems. Limited to only 500 copies!

Juan Arkotxa, Leslie MacKenzie and Carmeta Mansilla were the creators of The Book Of Am. The Book Of Intxitxu was another of their works, they began working on its songs and illustrations just after they finished the four parts of The Book Of Am in the late 1970s. It contained, again, a collection of illustrations plus three hours of music. The book was first published in 1982 by Desclee de la Brouwer (Bilbao) in a bilingual Basque-Spanish edition. In 1983 IZ issued a cassette containing a selection of the songs sung in Basque by Juan. A part of it was later performed with mime artists at the short-lived Stonehenge Festival in 1983.Conceptually it is again influenced by ancient myths and cults, you can find references to Sumerian hero Gilgamesh, the Meditarranean Moon Goddess cult, the hallucinogenic mushroom taker and healing woman from Oaxaca Maria Sabina, the works of Robert Graves, etc. Musically, it follows the ethereal folk path set by their previous works, with an acid atmosphere and a progressive appeal that offers some heavier psychedelic passages due to a higher use of electric guitar pyrotechnics.Daevid Allen and Gilli Smyth guested as musicians, so here's one of his last recordings, as are also the last by Carmeta Mansilla, since sadly she also past away recentlyl. Will Z, oG, Majnun and Sammy helped Juan and Leslie rescue the old material and shape it into this gorgeous 2LP set with a 24 page booklet containing all the illustrations made for the Book. Please note it is a limited edition of only 500 copies, do not miss it and complete your Book Of Am saga collection!

Jou Cogra’s rare 45 and LPs have been the object of desire for a long time among collectors. Born Josep Cortés Granero, this catalan musician moved freely from tropical / latin sounds to Hammond fueled rare grooves with influences of masters of those genre from Pérez Prado to Jimmy Smith or Brian Auger. His first LP was a collection of popular latin tunes, rooted in his earlier work with latin orchestras. He then moved to the underground, releasing a mega rare privately pressed 4 songs EP on which he introduced funkier psychedelic rhythms, Perez Prado was leaving room for a Jimmy Smith / Brian Auger Hammond based club oriented sound. His second LP was a strange mixture of styles, some lame tracks mixed with groovy instrumentals worth of any dancefloor. This compilation is a selection of the grooviest tracks from his discography, including his most Hammon-ized floor fillers and an astonishing latin version of ‘Lupita’. Mostly issued originally on private pressings or limited run editions on small labels between 1971 and 1976.It features an insert with lots of unseen photos and a text by Don Sicalíptico.500 copies only, comes with remastered sound worked from the original master tapes.

UK psychedelia moved into prog rock with spices of hard rock in the late sixties, some even coined a new label to describe the strong textures resulting of the mixture of rockier blues sounds, jazz, revolutionized freakbeat and the hardest side of popsike - ‘heavy psych’. Amongst the best works of the era were the two splendid LPs recorded by Welsh band Eyes Of Blue. The Eyes Of Blue where formed in 1966 and soon won the Melody Maker Beat Contest, a fact that secured them a recording deal with Deram records. The label issued their first 45s, they were good but -due to company pressure- more Blue Eyed Soul or even bubblegum oriented. By the time they released their first LP, on Mercury, their real sound had surfaced, showing influences by some of the coolest bands from the US West Coast like The Doors or Love, and also counted on the help of Graham Bond.Originally released in 1969, In Fields Of Ardath was the follow up to their superb debut LP, expanding the path of heavy Hammond based psychedelic progressive rock at its best with their aim of experimentation. This album contains also material they recorded for the movie Toy Grabbers in collaboration with Quincy Jones.Members of Eyes Of Blue would later join Man, Pete Brown & Piblokto! and Gentle Giant.First ever legit vinyl reissue, in a limited run of only 500 copies, including two bonus tracks from a non-LP 45, in remastered sound and featuring an insert with photos and liner notes.

First ever vinyl LP reissue of one of the best easy listening / jazz / groovy albums from Germany. Conceived and recorded in 1965 as (sort of) the soundtrack for advertising-designer, artist and photographer Charles Wilp photo sessions, it was composed by classical trained musician Siegfried Ulbrich, credited here under one of his pseudonym Marvin Martin. The album is a fantastic sequence of jazzy easy listening sounds, sometimes spiced with the actual sound of Wilp and his models speaking through the session, completed with female wordless vocals here and there and some electronic gimmicks - used with maximum care. Peter Thomas spoke favourably of these recordings, noting influences from A.C. Jobim, Frank Sinatra and Claus Ogermann. This LP was never commercialised in shops, but instead produced specifically for 16 organisations for whom Wilp had worked for, and copies of it were given away to employees and customers of those companies. As a curiousity, Charles Wilp did the earliest photos of Nico when she started modelling in Germany, and also did the fabulous photos of 1960s punk legends The Monks when they were established in Germany. It is splendid from beginning to end, top class groovy / easy listening sounds for your cocktail parties and night dancing and comes in a gorgeous gatefold sleeve reproducing the original artwork.

Urban Sax was created in 1973. Gilbert Artman, the mastermind behind Lard Free -who has also participated in dozens of recordings by other artists of the French experimental scene that included Delired Chameleon Family, Clear Light, Komintern, etc.- developed an interest in the relation between space and sound. He organised a first experiment that took place in the town of Menton, in the South of France. Artman strategically placed 18 saxophonists, and their sound reverberated through all the village. As time went by the band increased and currently their performances count with up to 34 saxophonists, 1 bass player, 3 percussionists, 2 dancers and 8 vocalists, with a line up that varies depending on each particular project. You can find saxophonists playing over rooftops, or climbing down buildings or arriving in helicopters. It is a fascinating experience that can be hardly translated to vinyl, but through the years they have recorded some of their music and here we are proud to offer vinyl reissues of those works, including one previously released on vinyl format!1978's Urban Sax 2, also on Cézanne / Cobra, is the continuation of their debut work. Actually it features parts 2 and 3 of the pieces contained on 1, again similarities with works by La Monte Young, Phil Niblock, Glenn Branca, Steve Reich, Terry Riley, a.o. are present, and it's the perfect companion to 1 as it is, basically, part two of that first album.

Leeds-based 6-piece band Paper Tiger is without a doubt one of the most eclectic acts on Wah Wah 45s' roster. This creative collective's audible aesthetics feature a wide-range of sounds: from futuristic hip hop beats to funky and danceable electronic breaks, infused with grime and post- dubstep vibes, and topped up with witty wordplay. Blast Off is Paper Tiger's second album, following their 2013 debut Laptop Suntan, and it represents a big step-up for the project, the result of refining and defining their process and sound, making it funkier, more live-sounding and experimental than their previous work. The band's distinctive playing is nicely supported by a heavy string of guests, such as Grammy-winning vocalist and producer Shafiq Husayn (Sa- Ra, White Boiz), teenage underground wunderkind Chester Watson, and Stones Throw signee Pyramid Vritra (Odd Future), making Blast Off a genre-defying showcase of flows, rhythms and improvising skills. The album was mastered by LA's beat scene lynchpin Daddy Kev, founder of Low End Theory and owner of Alpha Pup Records (Flying Lotus, Brainfeeder).

Mexican rock had a strong renaissance in the eighties, when most bands, majorly coming from the prog scene, turned to Spanish language again. One of the big acts from that era was Jorge Reyes' led Chac Mool. Chac Mool counted on its ranks with Carlos Alvarado, who was an accomplished musician on its own and who would record one of the most interesting electronic prog albums of the era, on which Reyes also collaborated. Originally released on mexican private label Momia in 1980. Carlos Alvarado's Via Lactea (Milky Way) is now reissued on vinyl 35 years later. Eurock was especially interested in electronic Cosmic Music exploring both the inner and outer spaces of sound and consciousness. Of all the great music I had heard from Germany’s Klaus Schulze to Tangerine Dream & Spain’s own Neuronium, the album by Carlos stood apart from the rest. The Wah Wah reissue, made under license from and with the help of Carlos Alvarado himself, comes with remastered sound and will include one bonus track not on the original LP. Like the original, it will be housed on a flapped envelope style cover, this time in luxury silk screened metallic copper cardboard. Features are a colour insert with photos and notes, plus a bonus Momia sticker based on the one given on the original release. This is a limited edition, only 500 copies pressed.

Zippo Zetterlink In The Poor Sun, originally released in 1971 as a self produced private pressing that is nowadays impossible to find unless you are ready to pay some amounts of money in the collector's market, was his first ever release. It is at last reissued in vinyl, a properly licensed edition done with the kind cooperation of Wolfgang himself and housed in an exact repro of its original sleeve. The music contained could be taken as the seed to Orschakowski's music world : free-form underground sounds, a way-out trip through expansive guitar riffs and strumming, hypnotic bass lines, killer drum breakbeats and elusive percussion, plus the occasional vocal, some blues freak-out and psychedelic effects. It will appeal to fans of other kraut classics like Amon Düül's Psychedelic Underground, early Guru Guru and the likes. The Wah Wah reissue comes with a fantastic bonus CD featuring another of Wolfgang's projects: the acid psych music of WoOZ! performing their Катюша / Katyusha, カチューシャ, red point on g-spot 10-song album.Reissued under license from Wolfgang Orschakowski in a 500 copies limited edition that respects the original artwork, comes with remastered sound and includes a bonus CD by Orschakowski's psychedelic project WoOZ! housed in a fold-out poster sleeve with liner notes and photos.

Formed by multi-instrumentalists Hans Reffert ('Flute') and Hans Brandeis ('Voice') in Mannheim in 1969, the Flute & Voice duo discographic debut was issued on Pilz in 1970. It featured a progressive mixture of ethnic influences and accoustic experimentations making it one of the most sought after pieces from krautrock's most underground scene. Hans Reffert was already considered one of the best guitarists in the Mannheim/Heidelberg area, having played banjo since the age of 12 and then studied with guitar master Siegfriend Schwab, and when he joined forces with Hans brandeis the two experimented with various instruments and voices to find their sound. Imaginations Of Light features a wide range of different tools to make a whole sound spectrum that melts psyched out folk with experimental jazz and world music. Flutes and voices, obviously, are joined by different types of guitars (acoustic, electric, dobro...), electric bass and sitar, all performed by the two Hanses, plus cello, violin and moroccan percussions courtesy of guest musicians Clemens Schuster (cello), Dorle Ferber and Julia Gallwitz (violins) and Guru Guru's Mani Neumeier (percussions - Reffert himself played some years in Guru Guru during the eighties).Their second album, Hallo RabbitI, originally recorded in 1973, only saw the life as a test pressing that, at the time, was rejected by BASF for release. And so it remained in the vaults until Jack Wieber Records issued it on CD in 1995 as part of a 2 album CD (along with Imaginations Of Light). It shows a progression that some sources have noted to be a more direct and clearly structured sound, but obviously without any concessions to their principles of experimentation in sound, use of different instrumental textures, and their rich ethnic background.Krautrock meets world music, heady psychedelic jazz, ethnic explorations. As you can imagine, the band's sound is unique and unlike anything else you've heard, but it will appeal those into artists such as Magic Carpet, Oriental Sunshine, Saddhu Brand, Mick Softley's Sunrise LP, Bobby Callender's Rainbow LP, Sagram, a.o.Fans of Magic Carpet, King Crimson's In The Court Of The Crimson King, Third Ear Band, Kalacakra, Oriental Sunshine, Bobby Callender, Clem Alford, Kali Bahlu or the "sitar side" of Popol Vuh will enjoy this one!The Wah Wah edition is limited to only 500 copies, housed in the original psychedelic gatefold cover originally drawn by Hans Reffert and expanded with the inclusion of their second LP, Hallo Rabbit, issued in vinyl for the first time ever!

After the successful reissues of the two Mormos albums on Wah Wah, we proudly present a fantastic double LP + bonus 7" EP with the works of Jim Cuomo's pre-Mormos band Spoils Of War. Jim had already served with instro-rockers The Cool Notes in Texas, along with future Big Brother & The Holding Co. founder and guitarist Sam Houston Andrew III when he moved to the University of Illinois to obtain his Master Degree in Music. It was in Illinois where The Spoils Of War were born in 1968, named after a musical instrument invented by Harry Partch - it's name coming from the fact it had actually been built from spent artillery shells. Alongside Jim, other members included Al Ierardi on guitar, Roger Francisco on bass, Frank Garvey on drums and James Stround on "live sound manipulation." Annie Hat would soon join on vocals, and last gigs were played with Charlie Braugham on drums. The S.O.W. sound was an intelligent mixture of late sixties acid psych with electronic experimentation -in a similar way to what Joe Byrd was producing with The United States Of America or Cork Marcheski would explore with 50 Foot Hose- plus there's some very imaginative songs here that could put the band in the same league Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of Invention were playing. Exciting computer generated sounds mix into a cool psychedelic rock background. It is one of the early pioneering experiments of electronic music and drones on a rock band, made at a time when programming computer sounds was really an adventure, since electronic music was still a burgeoning phenomenon. The box that had been opened by the likes of Karlheinz Stockhausen, Pierre Boulez, Luciano Berio a.o. left a lot of things for Cuomo and his peers to explore - and they were not afraid of doing so!Back in the day the Spoils Of War had little chances to publish their recordings. Only two small 33RPM 7" EPs were released, showcasing their talent and adventurous love for experimentation. Here are -collected in a gorgeous 2LP set compiled with the great cooperation of Jim Cuomo himself- their studio works, including previously unreleased recordings, some later work by Cuomo and Co. plus a bonus 7" reproduction of the first Spoils Of War original self-produced EP from 1969.Reissued in a 500 copies limited edition double LP housed in a gatefold gimmick sleeve with inner pop-up, fratures a bonus 7" EP, a Spoils Of War sticker, comes with remastered sound and includes an insert with liner notes courtsey of Jim Cuomo himself and Klemen Breznikar, plus full colour photos.

It was 1977, the year when punk rock exploded in the face of disco-music, but some thinking heads in Italy managed to escape the set trends of the year and walk a totally different path. Pioneers like Franco Battiato had already been experimenting with a crash of rock and electroacoustic music since the beginning of the decade, and others like Roberto Cacciapaglia or Riccardo Zappa would explore farther in those lands, mixing acoustic instruments with the bourgeoning synth technology. Among all these artists, an obscure little gem missed the attention it deserved: Integrati… Disintegrati, by Francesco Leprino, is undoubtedly one of the best albums of the genre. More freely unchained from the prog rock links that albums like Battiato's celebrated Fetus and Pollution LPs or Zappa's Celestion still retain, Leprino merges a very pure classical instrumentation of Spanish guitar, piano and flute with more modern electric guitar sounds, 12 string guitar and -of course- a V.C.S. 3 and Moog synths background that creates highly avantgarde atmospheres. Binson tape echoes, Hammond and Thomas organs, oboes, vibraphone and other additional instruments add texture richness to the final mix.An outstanding opus split through both sides of an LP in two 20 minutes long pieces that has become a much sought after album among collectors. It will appeal those interested in the development of synth music, beautiful athmosferic landscapes and electronic-acoustic orchestrated sounds.Reissued under license from Francesco Leprino in a 500 copies limited edition that respects the original artwork, comes with remastered sound and includes an insert with liner notes and photos.
