Founded in 1997, XXL is the name of a monthly hip hop magazine that covers all angles of hip hop culture. Past editors of XXL include Reginald C. Dennis (The Source), Sheena Lester (Rap Pages and Vibe music editor), and Elliott Wilson (Ego Trip and The Source), so you know lots of knowledge was/is combined to give you behind-the-scenes information and competent reviews of the current state of black music. XXL also launched a popular website that provides daily hip hop news as well as content from the magazine. XXL is also famous for the unique S to XXL rating of albums and electing the freshest rappers for the annual Top 10 Freshmen issue.
