The Cologne-based artist is known for his ubiquitous dark rollers like Xertz, a track that regularly appears in Alix Perez set today since it’s 2018 release. This 4 track EP delivers exactly what you’d expect, rolling beats, heavy basslines and meticulous production details.

1985 Music presents the second part of its various artists series - Codex. Celebrating the best in 140/dubstep this 4-track EP brings tracks from Headland, Samba, Ebb, and label boss Alix Perez.

Trail presents his debut artist release on 1985 Music with 'Resident EP'. With previous releases on the imprint including the chart-topping 'Velaquez' and 'Cinnamon' on Monty's debut album, the Toulouse-based producer/DJ showcases his varied production style with melodics at the helm. Joining forces with label friends Visages, the opening single 'Misty Blue' sets the tone for the rest of the collection.

Alix Perez and Bou present 'Back To Basics' one of the most sought-after dubs in Drum and Bass. This dancefloor weapon features MC Trigga, whose lyrics carry the weighty bassline throughout the track. On the flipside Alix submits 'Under Pressure' with T Man. Providing further ammunition for the DJ's, this track with his assertive tone along a bouncy bassline and rolling drums.

Bristol-based producer and DJ 'Drone' present his album on 1985 Music. This 13-track long play, like his previous releases, continues to push the boundaries of underground dance and grime while retaining a sub-heavy, 808-laden coherence within his productions and selections, as anyone who has caught one of his sets can attest to.Since his first release on the imprint in 2020, Drone and his productions have grown from strength to strength. His debut EP ‘Evil Sky’ in 2021 received critical acclaim and support from all the leading figures in underground dance. His production work blurs the boundaries of trap, grime, and dubstep while enjoying support from the likes of Mala, V.I.V.E.K, and Kahn, it seems Drone’s inimitable sounds are becoming favoured by both scene stalwarts and club-goers: an admiration which looks set to grow as he continues to produce thoughtful and original music that promises a reaction in the club. ‘All I Know’ feat. Nottingham’s rising star Snowy kicks off the campaign and is a track that dominated the 2022 festival season. Calling on fellow production friends, this album also sees collaborations with label head honcho Alix Perez, Notion, Hyroglifics, and Deft. Kicking off 2023, Drone undertakes his first North American tour with a month of back-to-back performances and showcases of his new music ahead of release. He returns to the UK with a very special album launch party in his hometown Bristol before taking the party to the capital in early March.

Visages present 'Lead To Gold' their debut long-player collection on the label after a string of successful releases. These 8 tracks showcase their continued versatility as producers alternating between 140 and 174 BPM. As certified members of the 1985 Music family, we also see label owner Alix Perez join the fold with 'Black Katanta' and fellow affiliate Monty on 'Ace Of Spaces'. The French foursome continue to make moves across underground dance and this LP is no doubt set to progress them.

Cesco returns to 1985 Music with ‘Rattler EP’ a 5 digital track collection representing his take on 140 and 170bpm bass music. Title track ‘Rattler’ sets the pace in the form of an uncharacteristically aggressive dnb opener. Leading on to his 2 featured collaborations in the project - ‘El Guapo’ with fellow label mate and 140 ally Drone and ‘Esoteric’ with emerging new dnb talent, En:vy. ‘Juan40’ is a desired DJ weapon which rattles any sound system into a frenzy. Closing the collection is (digital only) ‘Pity’ a stripped back roller which grows as the layers echo through the track.

Bredren present ‘Grim Reaper EP’ on 1985 Music. 4 diverse tracks brought together by the Belgian trio which showcases their love of progressive drums and experimental synths.

Manchester’s Metrodome makes his debut on 1985 Music with his weird but wonderful ‘Manchester Since 1994 EP’. This 4 track collection celebrates the best of the UK rave sound and choppy beats. “The making of this EP came from my obsession with old skool rave music! I have been a record collector and DJ since I was 4 years old and I grew up around music, ravers and DJs. My dad told me the only way to get me to sleep was to put on Marcus Intalex and Mark XTC's 'Da Intalex' show on Pirate Radio station Kiss 102 FM back around 1995/1996. This EP is dedicated to 4 year old me who loved Photek, Tom & Jerry, Orbital and Aphex Twin.

1985 Music celebrates 5 years with a collection of remixes from its impressive back catalog. It’s been 5 years since the inception of 1985 Music and over that period it’s grown a family of exciting underground producers as well as a celebrated back catalog from artists new and old. With this release, the label remixes some key tracks from the archives.

For us at 1985 Music, our Various Artists series are extremely important. It not only provides a great platform to celebrate music from a wide range of artists, but it also enables us to promote both veterans and newcomers in the scene and to introduce them as part of our extended family. We are very excited to share the second part of our Atlas series which includes both new and familiar faces.

Back in 2019, Dogger and Mindstate made their debut on 1985 Music with 'Broken Home' featuring the legendary Liam Bailey. Fast forward 3 years later and the track is still heavily supported in DJ sets by most of the leading names in Drum & Bass. There is only 1 producer with is worthy of making their own mark on this track - Calibre. He steps up on remix duties, breathing new life into an anthem.

Paired with a fresh offering, Dogger and Mindstate call on their very good friend DRS. 'tmwfte' (The Man Who Fell To Earth) is a perfect piano roller drenched with soul. This track has also played a key part in DRS's recent sold-out UK Tour.
