One of the Holy Grails of heavy psychedelia, originally released in 1969 by this Canadian band. Basement garage-psych meets heavy rock! Echoing vocals, crashing drums, ultra-raw distorted guitar… Bent Wind formed in Toronto in 1969. Discovered by producer Merv Buchanan while they played at a 12-hour Pop Festival in York, he signed them to his Trend label. A single was soon released, followed by the “Sussex” album in 1969. Titled after the street where the band had a rehearsal space in a building where local hippies and freaks hang out, “Sussex” was released housed in a cover designed by guitar player Gerry Ribas. According to band member Marty Roth, no more than 200 copies were pressed, making one the most sought after psych albums ever.

Veneno hits Dark Entries! Spain’s most loved transgender TV star arrives on the label in celebration of Madrid Pride on June 30th. Cristina Ortiz fled her home in Almeria at age 13. While working as a sex worker in the Parque del Oeste in Madrid, she was discovered by the TV program “Este Noche Cruzamos el Mississippi”. Her acerbic wit and candid descriptions of life as a sex worker (including graphic use of the microphone as a visual aid) struck program host and director Pepe Navarro, who recognized a star when he saw one. As a regular on the show, La Veneno (The Poison) became a TV sensation and an icon for the trans community. Her music career began in 1996 with the release of “Veneno Pa Tu Piel”, a sassy but mournful Eurobeat number about forbidden love with her johns. The flipside features “El Rap De La Veneno”, a house track over which Veneno improvises some of her famous catchphrases, including her iconic “Digoooo!”. The release was a hit, selling over 50,000 copies in Spain. Two different mixes of both tracks are included on this reissue. Each copy includes an insert with lyrics, notes, and a photo of La Veneno. Limited to 200 black copies, numbered by hand. The 7" comes in an inner sleeve screenprinted by Brezel Göring himself in various colors. The color cannot be selected. This single is special because it brings Stereo Total's TikTok hit "Wir tanzen im Viereck" from the digital world back into the analog one - together with the popular "I Love You, Ono", which has never been released as a single before. Both tracks are part of the best-of canon of the incomparable duo that consisted of Françoise Cactus and Brezel Göring. The black ones are numbered from 301-500.

The 1997 major label debut single by the first Petty Buca, a 90's ukulele pop duo consisting of Satomi Asano (formerly of The Flamenco A Go Go) and Yuka Susukida! This is a very killer cover of a 60's folk classic by Betsy & Chris.

Released in conjunction with the reissue of the Raintears EP, Quindi is proud to present further archival finds from Italian experimental project Cabaret du Ciel. Like a Fool / Inside Loneliness is a single shining a light on the brief collaboration between Andrea Desidera, Gian Luigi Morosin and singer Barbara Volpato. After years working as an instrumental outfit, the sessions with Volpato from 1991 were the first time Desidera and Morosin’s project had welcomed in a vocalist. Of the many tracks written and recorded at that time, the best two were selected and carefully restored from the original tapes, now immortalised on vinyl and expanding the public impression of Cabaret du Ciel. ‘Like A Fool’ re-imagines the hazy serenity of Cabaret du Ciel in a dream pop context, injecting the soft-focus synth work with the energy of bold drums to provide a suitable framework for Volpato’s voice. The crisp twang of new wave guitar completes the picture, while the trademark progression intrinsic to Cabaret du Ciel lends itself to the traditional song structures of pop. ‘Inside Loneliness’ is a natural companion to the A side, redolent with the heavy-hearted synth-pop romanticism of the late 80s and early 90s. The DIY sound on the track conveys an intimacy that can only come from artists recording in their own private environment, pouring their hearts and souls into a four-track recorder without a conceit other than pure, honest expression.

Following up with their street anthem debut single “Where My HomieZ”, Illalskratch deliver again with their acknowledgment of the ladies. Adding a spin and shifting rap gears with their second release, the duo inspired a whole new generation of mature minded mc’s, soulful R&B singers and producers. Leveling up from the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Singles & Tracks chart, the group found new ground on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. The Deep Soulful sounds, including multi platinum R&B Grammy Award winner Brian McKnight, ILL & AL released this game changer surprising Hip Hop heads Worldwide with the intoxicating hook chant “if you don’t want her don't waste her time”.

First release of tracks from mid-90s super-secret super group sessions with André Cymone, St. Paul Peterson, Mic Murphy and Gardner Cole. The Mighty Soulmates is a towering early 90s project from the legitimate super group of André Cymone (bass player with Prince), St. Paul Peterson (keyboard player in The Time and lead singer in Prince’s group The Family), Mic Murphy (of Sass and The System fame) and Gardner Cole (writer, producer and musician probably best known for his work with Madonna). The sound is a majestic blend of sophisticated funk, emotional R&B, New Jack Swing flava and slick deep soul. These should-be legendary sessions have been almost a secret since they were recorded back in 1993. The first Be With knew about the project was whilst working with Mic on some Sass re-issues and he told us he had something else we might be interested in hearing.

The 7-inch 'Omoide no uchigawade' was released by Fujimaru Yoshino in 1983 and will now be reissued on color vinyl!

Morrissey and David Bowie’s duet of T-Rex’s ‘Cosmic Dancer’, that was recorded live at the Inglewood Forum, Los Angeles on 6th February 1991, is to be released officially for the first time.

The 7-inch double A-side single featuring ‘Cosmic Dancer’ alongside Morrissey’s 2020 cover of The Jam’s ‘That’s Entertainment’ is to be released on 19th February. The sleeve front and back features photographs of David Bowie with Morrissey and were taken in New York City by Linder Sterling.

As a point to note, this version of 'That's Entertainment' is different to the commonly circulated version from 1993.
