Label owner, Christian Gerlach recruited the young and very talented Alfredo Mazzilli, which already showed his skills with his latest releases on Edit Select Records or Planet Rhythm. In the EP, which is dedicated to the Babylonian gods, Alfredo takes us into worlds of sound that reminds us of a run through the jungle and arrivals at mighty temples.Shamash opens the EP and prepares the mood for an ritual which is gonna to be celebrated. Wrong Assessment focuses the piece in its core, but in a deeper way and holds on to a heavy baseline. Ishtar reminiscent of an ceremony and the ep reaches its climax which is also continued in the Iori remix. The high-energy piece Marduck could be considered as an joyfully extract from this distant world. With This Packet lanthan Audio combines the heavy architecture of old temples, but with an ease that welcomes the coming months with joyful anticipation.

incl. Evigt Mörker RemixItalian producer Alfredo Mazzilli presents us with Logical Strength, his second EP on Weekend Circuit. Across 4 tracks he expresses his own unique take on the deepest strains of Techno and it's outer reaches.EP opener 'Logical Strength' is a throbbing piece of driving, menacing wormhole music with heavy arpeggiated sounds and rock solid, incessant drum-programming, leaving nothing standing in it's wake it is a firm statement of intent. 'Nuvole' see's the pace change slightly, adopting more of an eerie, borderline hallucinatory feel. The track unfolds beautifully with heavenly pads and synth swells draped across some tribally infused drums. On side 2 we have a stellar remix of 'Nuvole' from eminent Swedish producer Evigt Mörker who travels a more subdued, sedate path with his interpretation. Finishing off this 4 track excursion we are drawn into the beatless, introspective terrain of 'Parhelion'. A beautifully nuanced and subtle way to close things. Washes of synth and atmosphere embrace us as we travel onwards, deeper into the night. Alfredo Mazzilli shows us once again his own individual and unique style on this EP, another essential chapter in the Weekend Circuit story.

After 2 revered releases since the turn of the year, Weekend Circuit return, welcoming Alfredo Mazzilli for his first EP on the imprint. Versatile in sound and challenging in his approach, Alfredo’s ‘Invisible Entity’ EP masterfully pushes ambitious ideas with great vigor to an international audience ever more ready to listen. With artists such as Donato Dozzy, Aphex Twin, Sandwell District, Dino Sabatini and Substance making up a strong part of his most notable influencers, Alfredo favours the ambient & deep depths of the dark side of techno.Enigmatic and unrestricted, Side A starts with Alfredo's original "Invisible Entity". A steadily unfolding juggernaut, the emerging energy soon engulfs the entirety of the track, percussian transcending the gloaming synth sound throughout.Zadig's beckoning bass and kick drum driven remix will see sonic nods across the club with this four-on-the-floor gristle. "Statiform Region" is techno's answer to a cinematic interlude. A testament to Alfredo's lilting synth ability."No Way Out" kicks off the B side, with a algorithmic tinkering of sonic vs low hits and stabs. Rounding up, Echologist does what Echologist does best; a scattershot of intertwined and precarious techno sound, spliced with industrialised power.
