Kuba Sojka - Countdown
Kuba Sojka
12" | 2017 | EU | Original (Cosmic Club)
9,99 €*
Release:2017 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
The countdown has begun! Polish mastermind Kuba Sojka digs into his wide repertoire of influences to bring us this latest release on Cosmic Club. Each of the 4 tracks is distinctly unique, standing out from one another through Kuba’s varied uses of synths and percussion. “Countdown” is reminiscent of those early Detroit movements in techno and electronica, instantly reminding me of the likes of Dopplereffekt, which is certainly no bad thing. The vibe of “Getaway” is exactly as the name would suggest; pumping arpeggiated synths accompanied by piercing snares that evoke images of a neon-drenched, italo-fueled 80’s action film. Try and not feel energised to this, we dare you. On the flip, “Ego” scratches the itch for something deep; filtered sounds galore with a bit of that garagey swing. Rounding off, “Everything Will Be Ok” drops the tempo and commences the much-needed cleansing after the pure energy that has come on the track before; this is my new 5am watch-the-sun-rise tune. Kuba knows and delivers with this essential record! As usual : Vinyl only.
Violence FM - Etoiles

Release:2015 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
Cosmic Club 16 in the house, and for this one Skylax have delved deep into the mystic universe of the ever enigmatic Violence FM with a four track EP quite simply out of this dimension… Etoiles EP is an inconceivable work of art from Violence FM that will leave listeners stargazing for more, not to mention an extraterrestrial remix of Chez Damier's 'El Fin Esta Cerca' on the flip.Title track Etoile does the damage on the A Side, with a vocal (A1) & instrumental (A2). Lofty kick drums and enchanting synths bring this classic track right up to date, with the heavenly vocal harmonised seamlessly on top for a truly otherworldly experience - this is a must for anyone looking to get celestial with their DJ sets. We can already see early morning dance floors in the future raising their hands to these killer joints Violence FM further demonstrates his remixing ability on the flip, with Etoile Urban Mix (A3). A pitched down and even more intriguing edit of the work done on the title track. Intelligently layered synths guide you through a hypnotising drum rhythm as the complexity and attention to detail Violence FM puts into his production is perfectly exhibited. Scattered vocal snippets further add to the mystique of this exceptional remix. Rounding off the EP comes a another wonderful track in the presence of the great Chez Damier, “El Fin Esta Cerca vers la lumiere”. Violence FM (B) has upped the tempo up with this one but maintains and surpasses all elements of cosmic. Heavy Latin percussion drives a track that evokes multiple emotions, as it journies into new boundaries far outside the norm with a range of eerie samples and provocative melodies. Etoiles EP is not just a cosmic experience, but a voyage into the realms of a producer in a world of his own.
Snuff Crew - Basement Jams #2

Basement Jams #2

Release:2015 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
Hailing from Berlin, but spiritually from Chi-town, Snuff Crew are back in your area with some freshly served up basement goodies once again. Following on from Basement Jams #1, from all the way back in 2011, the boys bring us tracks with the same playful nature as before but, dare I say it, they go even harder this time. Stalwart fans of the first release can stop reading now because it will almost certainly be a blind-buy for you; four tracks obviously engineered for use in the club, whether its the massive kick in ‘What It Is’ or the ravey acid lead in ‘88cents’. The jams on the B-side may do the most damage. ‘Remember’ holds absolutely nothing back, with its arpeggiated bassline lead and crisper than crisp 909 drum programming. Analog is a term that gets bandied about all the time nowadays, ever since so many young producers became enamoured with tape compression and hiss delay plug-ins. I know Snuff Crew are real analog guys though, in sound and mentality, so hearing Basement Jams #2 for the first time had me so excited once again.

For this 14th release, we give you the opportunity to grab 6 fantastic trax done by one of today’s hotest producer from germany : ANDREAS GEHM aka ELEC PT1.After a bunch of releases on MATHEMATICS, BUNKER, CHIWAX, SNUFF TRAX, he sent us his brand new tracks & we felt it was so good that we decided to release them straight ! His sound is firmly rooted in proto-house and acid. A whirlwind of crystalline electronics, playful synthesizer riffs (with a dash of original chi-town jack thrown in), it comes on like a particularly cosmic jam session between Stevie Poindexter & drexcya. Jack Attack ! On this evidence, Andreas is clearly one to watch!

Heavily inspired by Roland 909 chicago mythic drum machine, those guys deliver here 3 anthems. Their sound is firmly rooted in proto-house and 80’s R&B. With ingredients like ancient drum machines, arpeggiated melodies, and 80’s pads, their connection boils over with a certain cheekiness that makes listeners grin from ear to ear.
