Light Speed EP

Release:2018 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
Bristol-based producer Drone finally makes his bow for Coyote Records with the release of new four-track EP, `Light Speed'. A regular at Coyote's Bristol parties
over the course of 2016 and 2017 and inspired by the clinical, freeze-dried grime of label contemporaries like Last Japan, as well as Sector 7 bosses Boofy and Lemzly
Dale, Drone has probed, honed and developed his sound to marry the raw impact of his early beats with detailed, widescreen scope. There are nods to the soundsystem
culture of his new home city of Bristol on the coarse textures and booming, dubby low-end of `Narroways' for example, while title-track `Light Speed' captures the icy,
shimmering Coyote sound aesthetic in full view. B-side tracks `Probiscus' and `Fangz' continue this theme apace, bleeding into one another like patchwork to showcase a
grime sound moulded by the club, but finessed away from it.

Release:2018 / UK – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
Coveted beat-maker and DJ Last Japan releases his most extensive work since the 2014 mixtape 'Ride With Us'. Across seven tracks, he shifts between shimmering, expansive
sound design and the razor sharp, clinical grime productions for which he has long been sought-after.

Release:2018 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
Coyote Records follow the release of Last Japan's seven-track epic, Luna, with
the release of `Cloud-Tech' _ the debut EP from emerging young producer,
VIO_L3T. Often the first through the door at Coyote label parties in Bristol during
2016 and 2017, VIO_L3T has spent the last 18 months working on his debut
record from his rural hometown of Castle Cary in Somerset, after sending the
title-track as a demo in early 2016. Inspired by sci-fi, rap and the music of label
mates like Silk Road Assassins, Marks and Letta, `Cloud-Tech' bristles with
discovery and the warm glow of a producer hitting his stride. "The amount of
change in my life over the past two years compared to the previous 20 is huge",
VIO_L3T explains, "and each track is like a timestamp of that period." `CloudTech',
heavily road-tested in the club and on Rinse FM over the last two years,
begins as a grandiose, lighters-in-the-air symphony for the opening two minutes,
before bursting into life as a thunderous and sludgy 808 beat, primed to shock and
awe _ as it did here in London back in 2017. Follow-up EP tracks `Sentinel' and
`Frag/Ment' then explore the depths of VIO_L3T's moonlit sound design, evoking
images of misty-cold landscapes and lost, faraway worlds, before label mate
E.M.M.A. _ fresh off the back of 2017 anthem `Mindmaze' _ turns in a stunning,
widescreen remix of 'Cloud-Tech' inspired by her own cosmic intuitions.
Oh91 - Shuttle
Oh91
Shuttle
12" | 2017 | EU | Original (Coyote)
12,99 €*
Release:2017 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
Having released his debut record, 'Stealth', with Coyote back in 2013, OH91 also
released a remix of Rapid's tra' beat on white label through the imprint in 2014,
backed up by a an edit of Footsie's 'Prang Boy' from label mate Chemist - the 12" sold
out in less than a week. Honing in on a day-dot instrumental grime sound favoured by
MCs, OH91's work on 'Shuttle' is sharp and brutally effective; sirens form the basis of
the short intro, as a booming, looping beat - boosted by tense, anxious strings -
slingshots the track straight into the dance. On the flip, Dutch producer JLSXND7RS,
fresh from producing a number of tracks for Wiley on latest album, 'The Godfather',
throws down a fierce, contorted remix full of warped sounds and eerie, sci-fi bleeps.
Forever - Hymn EP
Forever
Hymn EP
12" | 2017 | EU | Original (Coyote)
11,99 €*
Release:2017 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
Having first linked up with London-based Coyote Records in early 2015, Grade 10's Forever
returns to the label proper for his first full EP project, 'Hymn' which explores the myriad sounds,
layers and textures that have come to define his music. The delicate, slow-burning cinema of
widescreen opener 'Gweilo', the shadowy eeriness of 'Hymn' and the crunchy, industrial club
heat of 'Swamped' each point to different reference points, but all feel interlinked by Forever's
grip on atmosphere and tone. Coyote label mate, Chemist - also one third of Planet Mu trio, Silk
Road Assassins - also turns in a booming edit of 'Hymn', complete with re-booted, icy melodies
that fire off like shards of glass, and rude, 808 patterns that nod to his work with SRA.

Tom E. Vercetti - Future Perfect EP
Tom E. Vercetti
Future Perfect EP
12" | 2015 | UK | Original (Coyote)
10,99 €*
Release:2015 / UK – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
Tom E. Vercetti is the kind of talent that gets signed immediately, no hesitation or questions asked; such was the strength of his original demos sent to Coyote Records this time last year. The young producer’s biggest waves to date have been made remixing Last Japan’s Harca for Coyote, and his Silk Road Assassins project with Chemist and Lovedr0id that has borne releases on Gobstopper Records’ piece edit series and the mighty Planet Mu. Now Vercetti’s time to fully announce himself on the solo front comes with his debut 12”, the Future Perfect EP, featuring a couple of those stunning original demos alongside some work fresh out of the studio. The record is awash with widescreen celestial melodies; not least on the anthemic lead track Future Perfect, where synths dazzle like star systems above the broad physicality of his basslines. Experimenting with melody forms such a integral part of Vercetti’s production process, and they continue to take centre stage on Fugitive and Infinite Plane, harnessing MssingNo or Mr. Mitch levels of emotiveness. Where his synths forge fantastical soundscapes, the beats keep you moving, with structures that coalesce elements of grime and hiphop in the heaviest possible way.
