Release:2019 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
The style and sound of DJ Overdose is so distinctive, you can spot it from miles away. The first track has a groovy title, with a car symbol and silly characters. Great music for driving your white convertible in the Detroit sunset, it's dark, repetitive, the usual genius with impressive drums. The title of Funky Mess is no lie, it's a funky song with a Japanese telecom sampler resembling the Detroit underground scene. The last track RZ-1-DMX is classic electro with some nice slow melodies, that you can nod to. Sematic4 is operating with more classic electro elements on Dream Creator with some spacey tunes, while North Star '78 is a rather hard-hitting club music with a nice groove, interesting drums and some super melodies. One Nite In Heaven recalls the atmosphere and soundscape of the golden days of the Hague electro scene - a way of showing respect to the era.

ZZZ DJ Overdose Remix
12" | 2017 | EU | Original (Dalmata Daniel)
11,99 €*
Release:2017 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
On its third vinyl release Dalmata Daniel presents five originals of J.Mono with an additional remix made by DJ Overdose. Hailing from East-Central Hungary’s small town Lajosmizse, Lóri Keresztes is the introverted songcrafter-synthjammer mastermind of the Budapest based underground favourite Wedding Acid Group trio. As J.Mono he stands alone leaning on his machines, making way for his internal world, heart and soul. His first solo release Zzz is troubled and playful at the same time, with moments of electro-acid vibes and post-wave-italo sensibility, tracks that are wonderfully dark even with a light shade of ebm or just softly layered ambient melancholic technoids that make us all the children of Aphex Twin’s SAW 85-92 for three minutes. J.Mono’s material on Dalmata Daniel is not simply perfect club music for nice people but presents the genuine, intuitive and effortless melody maker ability that makes Lóri Keresztes the silent genius of Wedding Acid Group while DJ Overdose’s remix captures and overdrives J.Mono’s acid jamming roots. – Puskar Krisztian

The 05 Poly 800 Loop EP was born in the name of the Dutch-Hungarian friendship when DJ Overdose collaborated with the Budapest based record label Dalmata Daniel, and Hungarian acts, S Olbricht & 12z. A wide range of styles release from dark and mid-tempo to hard-hitting electro. Just how we like it from mister Model Man. The EP also features two remixes both of which are complete reworks of the originals. S Olbricht (Farbwechsel, Opal Tapes, Lobster Theremin) transformed ‘Path To Wrath’ into a dark abstract techno wave that manages to end up light and romantic. Meanwhile 12z, the newest mascot of Nicolas Jaar’s ‘Other People’ label have made an experimental symphony from ‘Be(h)anger’ and this pathos covers the whole essence of this EP. A promising start for the Dalmata Daniel label.
