A download code is included. The digital download includes a bonus remix. My Pierrot Dolls formed in 1981 creating minimalistic synthpop “songs about death that you can dance to” and smoothly turned to a darker, guitar orientated but still synthy post punk sound by 1984. They had quite a repertoire but only a few songs were professionally recorded before their split in 1985 and only four of them were ever released. The first two were “Picture In Oils” and “My Pierrot Dolls” from 1982, which did it on the highly regarded and sought after “Subtle Hints” various artist compilation from 1983. Then in 1984 they managed to finally put out a 7” single of their own containing “Martyrdom” and “End Of An Era”, the latter being a re-recorded, quite different version of their 1983 original that was recorded but unreleased. Some other recordings and remixes remained unused and forgotten but fortunately the original 1⁄4” reel tapes were kept and allowed us at Dead Wax Records to finally configure a proper MPD release compiling all their fantastic studio output from 1982 to 1984, sounding better than ever before. We are extremely happy to present you this great My Pierrot Dolls compilation album as a limited, hand numbered edition of 120 copies, housed in a matt finish sleeve with double sided insert and download code.

Elysium (a.k.a. Burning Skies OF Elysium since 1985) formed in Horley, Surrey (uk) in the autumn of 1981. Their first release was the 4-track Amongst Those Clouds cassette-only EP from 1983. It contained their first two songs recorded at Rendezvous, John Ratcliff’s south London studio in March 1982, together with another two songs recorded at Ambiance Recording Studios, Burgess Hill, in January or February 1983. Later joined by saxophonist Ron Howe, their first vinyl release came in September 1984, the ‘Summer House’ b/w ‘Through Flak & Flak’ 7”, recorded at Ambiance Recording Studios again. One song from these sessions entitled ‘Emporium’ remained absolutely unheard and forgotten. Until now. We have gathered these seven early songs to create our extended vinyl rendition of Amongst Those Clouds, presented as a limited, hand numbered edition of 120 copies, housed in a matt finish sleeve with a double sided insert and download code.

A download code is included. “Premières Données” (meaning ‘first data’) was the 1987 cassette-only release by Décades, the by then solo project of Laurent Bergot from Rouen, France. Both the band and the album turned out to become the most important cornerstones of the original French ‘cold wave’ genre, the term that began being used in the mid- late 80s to tag this music genre, characteristic for mostly beautiful melodies, romantic, heartfelt lyrics and heavy presence of bass guitar, synthesizers and drum machines. Not a single song by Décades has been ever released on vinyl before so, for starters, we have created “Premières Données +” as an improved, roundup version of this fantastic album, including the previously 100% unheard 1987 studio version of the song ‘Le Jour Se Lève’ that Laurent left out of the cassette release in favour of his own, rougher demo version. We also included the intro that Laurent wanted to use back in the day, but was also left out for technical reasons. We are extremely happy to bring you this cold wave masterpiece in the form of a limited, hand numbered LP edition of 120 copies, housed in a matt finish sleeve with double sided lyric insert and including a download code.

We are extremely excited to Finally bring you this highly sought after record on a limited, hand numbered Edition of 120 copies on standard black, housed in a heavyweight matt finish sleeve with black inner sleeve, including a double sided insert with pics and credits and a download code. In This Morbid Ecstacy A Release Is Needed is the never commercially released 1987 album by This Eternal Waiting. A mixed bag of minimal synth, experimental, industrial and electronic body music. The project reached the vinyl test pressing status only, 50 white label copies were pressed and used for promotion amongst djs and distributors. Full artwork was prepared for the album but it remained unused and unseen as the commercial release on the band’s own ‘I Live In Hell Records’ label was cancelled. For more than 30 years the album has slept a giant’s sleep, highly sought after by collectors looking for a copy of the white label 12” but being absolutely impossible to find. Luckily, the 1⁄4” master tapes and original photoliths for the artwork were salvaged so we were able to work with them and offer you the fully finished, carefully remastered album for the first time ever. An additional track called “Don’t Stop” has been included, a 1988 live session that Frank O’Neill did with Ronan Harris (yes the guy behind VNV Nation). An incredibly powerful EBM killer to round up this awesome album.

Epitaph Revisited
LP | 2019 | EU | Original (Dead Wax)
21,99 €*
Release:2019 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
This is a hand numbered edition of 200 vinyl copies only, housed in a matt finish sleeve, including a download code. The entire output by the Italian cold wave pioneers Der Blaue Reiter was written between 1980 and 1981 and recorded in 1983 but all songs were shelved and unreleased back then. It was a real honour for us to make them public for the first time on our long deleted EPITAPH 1980-1983 album in 2016. However, Stefano Tirone, the widely experienced musician, producer and mastermind behind DBR always had the idea of bringing those great old songs up to date in a more electronic approach. Hence, in 2017 he decided to start re-recording the tracks using his vintage, exceptionally well-kept synthesizers and drum machines. The only non-electronic instrument here is an old F.H. Kühling vertical piano. For the vocals, Stefano used the original 1983 recording which together with the distinctive, analogue sound of all the instruments have preserved the minimalistic, primary feel of these cold wave anthems. So, are they modern? YES! Are they classic? YES! They sound just the way we love early electronics to sound and with an astounding technical quality! Minimal synth at its very best!

Release:2019 / EU – Original
Genre:Electronic / Dance
We are immensely proud to bring it to you as a limited, hand numbered edition of 275 copies, housed in an old-fashioned, matt finish card-sleeve including a download code. Standing Ovation was a short lived project from Clacton on Sea, UK, created by the very young Paul Bramhall and Glen Redgen in 1982, while they were still at high school. Armed with a Casio MT40, a Korg Polysix, a Korg M500 and a Boss DR55 drum machine plus a guitar and a bass they booked a local studio on 22nd October 1983 and recorded two songs in one day. The two tracks were released on cassette by the also local Falling A label shortly after. They continued making electronic music for a further two years and seeking collaborators through the papers they managed to include a drummer and a lead guitarist, but the sound changed and was no longer the electronic sound that Paul desired. After a few local gigs they drifted apart with musical differences. The two songs have been transferred and remastered from the original ¼” reel tape and the also minimalistic but beautiful hand-drawn original artwork has been adapted and enhanced to fit this 7” release.

Artificial Monuments was an all-stars dark minimal / synthpop project from Copenhagen, originally formed by Patrick Ringsborg (Moth, Chainsaw Eaters, Little Boy Lost, Echo People Et Al.) Johannah Jørgensen (Metro Cult) And Kim Wolf Andersen (Moth, Chainsaw Eaters Et Al.). They were inspired by bands like Iron Curtain, Yazoo, Neon Judgement, Eleven Pond and Turquoise Days. Active between 2013 and 2015 only, the group disbanded due to Johanna’s health problems, leaving their debut album ‘Illusions of Identity’ on the cutting board. But it was posthumously finished over the next four years with the help of an incredible array of fellow artists from the new wave of post punk, who contributed their talents to the completion of the album: Sally Dige, Zosia Hołubowska (Mala Herba, Prison, Hände), Ina Noire & Lisa Løebekken (Techne), Sofie Jacobi, Cecilia Wörlén (Prison) And Christoffer Bagge (Metro Cult, Totem). Illusions Of Identity is an awesome minimal synth pop album, as simple as that. Being crafted with the help of so many skillful people who spilled their talents into the melting pot, nothing but a masterpiece could come out of this project. We are proud to finally bring it to you on a limited, hand numbered, Translucent Blue Vinyl Edition of 275 copies, housed in a matt finish sleeve with printed inner sleeve (lyrics and credits) and including a download code. The download features two additional demo versions not on the vinyl.
