2022 Reissue of the The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble s/t debut album from 2006.

The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble formed in 2000 as a project to compose new music for existing silent movies. Jason Köhnen and Gideon Kiers, both graduates of the Utrecht School of Arts, combined their audio and visual skills to reinterpret classic movies by F.W. Murnau (Nosferatu) and F. Lang (Metropolis). That such an intention ends in quality should be clear from the start.

In 2004 UK trombonist Hilary Jeffery and Swiss cellist Nina Hitz joined Tkde to record this self-titled debut album which was released in May 2006. The ensuing tour saw Eelco Bosman and Paris based vocalist Charlotte Cegarra join, making the ensemble a sextet. London based violinist Sadie Anderson joined in 2008 to supply the group with extra power on stage.

Due to the vast possibilities within the band, the sound spectrum of Tkde is really hard to capture within one specific composition. Moreover, the project leaned towards various styles depending on the respective members working together at a given time - a good mix between atmosphere and technique always was the strong basis for a Tkde composition. The highly praised debut album of the Dutch cult ensemble finally available again on cd & vinyl.

2021 Reissue of "Egor" - the last work of The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation from 2012.

After they delivered the 60 minutes session “Anthropomorphic” in 2011 The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation (the alter ego of The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble) returned with their 4th and final full length called Egor one year later. This four track monster (again almost 70 minutes long) was recorded live at the DOM theater in Moscow as part of a mini trip to Russia in April 2011.

For the connoisseurs of the The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation sound this album combines the atmosphere of 'Succubus' mixed with 'Anthropomorphic', more structural improvs mixed with ambient drones. the band builds mesmerizing, deep and otherworldly atmospheres. Nanook of the North is back with their second album, following the enthusiastically received 2018 debut "Nanook of the North," (Denovali) The duo of a composer and violinist Stefan Wesołowski and electronic producer Piotr Kaliński were acclaimed by Boiler Room, The Wire or NPR. Bob Boilen of Tiny Desk Concerts called Nanook of the North's performance at the famous Sxsw Festival in Austin, US "one of the wow moments of Sxsw". Their new material is a raw and minimalist sonic landscape, practically devoid of percussive elements but featuring vocals by an acclaimed mezzo-soprano Margarita Slepakova. As with the debut, the music on "Heide" is rooted in nature and its primordiality. The title of the album alludes to wildness and untamedness, and the material was recorded last winter in a village located in the middle of forests in the northern Poland, which is clearly felt in the atmosphere of the 9 new tracks on "Heide". The publisher of the album (CD / Vinyl / Download) is the renowned German label Denovali.

Stefan Wesołowski is a Polish composer and violinist, author of critically acclaimed original albums and film music scores. He is an author of original soundtrack to "Listen to me Marlon" (Universal) - Oscar-shortlisted and BAFTA-nominated documentary on Marlon Brando directed by Stevan Riley and original soundtrack to Irish feature film by Nathalie Biancheri entitled "Wolf" (Focus Features), starring Lily-Rose Deep and George MacKay. Piotr Kaliński is an electronic music producer and guitarist. Based in Gdańsk, Poland. Associated with record labels like R&S Records and Instant Classic. Member of Hinode Tapes, Hatti Vatti and Janka bands. One of the most active figures in Polish alternative scene. Kaliński is an author of original music for short films, fashion brands campaigns like Calvin Klein or Paul Smith and games (i.e. "Cyberpunk 2077").

The Osnabrück duo Sankt Otten, founded in 1999, has been releasing on Denovali since 2009. With their now 12th album they give us again a gem of timeless instrumental music. The holy trinity of Krautrock, Ambient and contemporary Electronics, but always stylistically confident and unmistakable Sankt Otten. Sankt Otten like images of infinity. In the religious sense of meditative mantras, or also in the mathematical sense of an elongated curve that eventually returns to its starting point. Mastered by Rafael Anton Irissari.

Siavash Amini is a composer from Tehran, Iran. He Has worked with labels like Room40, Hallow Ground, Opal Tapes and Umor Rex for the better half of the past ten years. He has performed at festivals like CTM & Mutek and many other well known international events. Apart from it Siavash is a co-founder of the “set experimental art events” and “setfest” in Tehran, Iran. His work ranges from fragile ambient pieces and brittle IDM (incorporating his distinctive style of atmospheric guitar playing) to noisy drones and bleak modern classical pieces. His compositions have been inspired by films such as Andrei Tarkovsky's The Mirror as well as novels by Dostoyesvky and poems by T.S. Eliot.

Saffronkeira is the Sardinian sound researcher Eugenio Caria being active in the electronic music scene since almost two decades. His most recent work - a cooperation with the Italian jazz trumpet legend Paolo Fresu - earned a lot of praise from the international music press for the pure timelessness of the album.

"Upon hearing a small snippet of sound an image is conjured, not a memory but not unfamiliar. A shell of a memory, thousand events superimposed on each other. While trying to extract points of a narrative to ease the discomfort of this recollection, I try to separate and unfold the image and with it the points of the spectrum which make up the sound, a shell of a narrative. Here is an album based upon an almost entirely imagined/ synthesized happening upon hearing a snippet of sound. It sounded like of a whole story that never happened but yet I felt myself amongst it’s participants, a sound triggering a false memory. Each sound in Eugenio’s collection of sounds and ideas guided me a to a point in the narrative and it’s construction. He had handed me a portals of some kind to a few scenes of the whole narrative. This is the soundtrack for that false memory from all the perspectives I can think of."

Mansur is the project by Jason Kohnen (ex-The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble) joined by Dimitry El-Demerdashi (ex-Phurpa) and introducing Martina Horváth on vocals. The sound of Mansur navigates between the waters of musical fantasy and reality - it morphs and blends traditional instrumentation with modern day electronica.

After the debut record "Temple" and the debut full length "Karma" Minotaurus is Mansur’s first live improv recording. A musical homage to the mythos of the Minotaur. The minotaur as a mirror of self reflection - the fear of confronting one’s inner ugliness. Mansur takes you on a sonic journey through subterranean labyrinths, evoking spirits from past echoes of Minoa.

Based in Bristol, LTO first made waves as part of mysterious electronic collective Old Apparatus. As a solo producer, LTO has since attracted attention with three albums. In 'Daear', LTO explores an expansive sound pallet of swelling synths and noise, ambiguous string instruments, thunderous percussion, unearthly voices and his signature sound the piano, mostly processed beyond recognition. The result is a mysterious and deeply textured journey that could be set in both the distant past and uncertain future, on this planet or beyond.
