Formulas Fatal to the Flesh is the fifth full-length studio album by death metal band Morbid Angel. The Satanic-themed lyrics of previous albums had been replaced with lyrics about the Old Ones, which would become the primary source of Morbid Angel's lyrical content from this point on, and has some lyrical content written in Sumerian. This is the first album to feature singer/bassist Steve Tucker, replacing David Vincent. The title refers to the biblical symbol of the Antichrist. The letter "F" is the 6th letter of the alphabet; therefore, it could be read as "6ormulas 6atal to the 6lesh" or 666 for short, the number of the Beast. The album stands out as a landmark for the brutal death metal genre that developed in the late nineties. This 25th Anniversary edition is limited to 300 units and comes as 2 LP Purple Vinyl

All the rage and fear and uncertainty of recent times has been poured into the album's 11 tracks, resulting the rarest of rock'n'roll albums: one with a sense of purpose. But where the title song and anthemic first single Storm – which questions whether people are prepared for the aftershocks of both the pandemic and the government's high-level malfeasance – are both fuelled by a righteous sense of injustice, other bolder, emotions also shine through.

It’s a time for new generation of rock. Here we have a selection of 15 of the finest new up-and-coming bluesy rock bands as selected by Earache Records. The number of female-fronted acts is noteworthy. Album opener Hannah Wicklund is the only American artist included, plus in Loz Campbell, Verity White, Tomorrow is Lost’s Cass King and Elles Bailey we have on this album a celebration of modernity and diversity that perhaps suggests rock n roll has grown up and better reflects modern society.. The Gallagher-style beered up lads rock n roll now seemingly well past its sell-by date. It’s not about ape-ing Kasabian and certainly not about copying Led Zeppelin, its roots are deeper than that, though admittedly drawing from the same source material ie, early blues guitar legends, with soul and funk sprinkled into the mix.

2019 will be the 30th anniversary of this seminal record from the hugely influential GODFLESH. 10 tracks of atmospheric and minimalistic industrial metal from one of the genre’s founding fathers. Godflesh was the brainchild of Justin Broadrick, a founding member of Napalm Death who played on the A side of the legendary ‘Scum’ album. Over the band’s career, Godflesh became one of the most influential industrial bands ever, touring the globe with the likes of Ministry, Fear Factory, Danzig and Type O Negative, and gaining influential fans including the likes of Metallica’s Kirk Hammett.
