Co-founder and label custodian Zanias makes her debut on Fleisch with a journey through climate catastrophe. Composed in Berlin and mixed in Queensland with the smell of bushfire smoke in the air, she addresses the primary anxiety of our time with four tracks designed to draw the body into movement and the mind into action. Body music elements are wrought with mournful melodies and studded with samples recorded from the fast-disappearing natural world, while her voice guides the way through the darkness.

Fleisch is thrilled to present the debut of Stockholm’s Dissocio Modus Trans, aka DMT, featuring four cuts of some of the purest, unadulterated acid ever to hit the streets since Orange Sunshine. In the words of Terence McKenna himself, sampled in the opening title track, “DMT is the strongest hallucinogen there is…”, and DMT certainly hold true to their name as a pair of 303s weave a mind-altering journey through multiple dimensions of being. Driven and dirty techno beats form the rhythmic foundation while esoteric vocal samples lead the proceedings through the Tibetan Book of the Dead in “Origin/Destination” and “Bardo Thodol”, and onward into the metaphysical mantra of “Trans Dimensional”.

“Fleischberg” is the 2nd vinyl iteration of Berlin’s body focused Fleisch collective, following hot on the heels of last year’s highly acclaimed release by Schwefelgelb. This 12” starts with a relentless six and a half minute assault by Australian native and Berlin based Halv Drøm, a fitting vinyl debut for the talented producer. DSX follows up with a finely tuned EBM track tactfully layered with obscure vocal samples and paired with piercing, frenetic drum programming. The B side starts with a slightly different approach, recalling a more classic techno and electro tone without losing sight of the release’s progressive focus; Privacy’s catchy “Work” recalls late 80s Chicago masterpieces without becoming overly nostalgic. Sekunde rounds out the compilation fully with a plodding and minimal piece that would be best appreciated while being blasted driving 300 km/h down a moonlit back road somewhere in the Black Forest.

140g black vinyl housed in a matte 3mm cardboard sleeve Mirror Glaze Lavish” is Marc’s latest effort in trying to depict his cynical and disillusioned view of the present-day music scene, seen through a sonic magnifier that emphasizes its greatest controversies, by juxtaposing different electronic languages as a challenge to the current levelling artistic trends. The artist personality is nullified, standardized to a state of placid non-critical thinking. Everyday’s emptiness emerges as the structure of reality and only the cracks in it still lead to life. “Great souls suffer in silence”, once said Friedrich Schiller, but what if silence becomes an audible, danceable image? As if all these electro cuts, differently permeated with a balanced mix of playful darkness, were populated by eerie animals that cannot find peace with their habitat and keep dancing relentlessly until the very end of their miserable existence. Seen in this context, each of Marc’s tracks must be interpreted as an irreverent and poignant act of self-assertion vis-à-vis his contemporaries. Morah’s reinterpretation of “Celexxa” adds value to the original track, taking us for a dirty ride on a psycho-electro-charged rollercoaster.

The X Initiative is the follow-up to Adam X’s ten volume series project “The Secret Initiative”. Now one year on since unveiling the secret, Adam continues the spirit of the original project with four previously unreleased songs recorded in the end of the aughts decade. New beat grooves awash with icy atmospheres that were well ahead of their time in their moment of creation.

Devourer of the dead, eater of hearts and great of death” Fleisch welcomes Swedish electronic super-group Æmɨt, consisting of members from Alvar, D.M.T. & Nuclear Sludge, with their debut EP ‘Devourer’. Elements from each group weave their way into the tracks via primitive industrial arpeggiations, dystopian EBM vocal samples and 303-squelch bass lines, all forming around solid, rhythmic compositions. ‘Devourer’ delivers 4 tracks of primitive, minimal-synth, 16-bit ritual. Æmɨt takes its name from the demoness/goddess of ancient Egyptian theology that would devour the hearts of the impure in the afterlife, and ‘Devourer’ is as much an incantation as it is a call to the body. The opening track, taking its title from the EP, lays out a death-chant beneath synth constellations and an underworld horn section. ‘Error’ pits grinding pads against jagged percussive rhythms and ‘Hunter’ swirls beneath layers of filtered white-noise, while ‘Kalabalik’ pushes the tempo toward levels of proto-funeral-techno. The goddess Æmɨt was not worshipped; instead, she embodied all that the Egyptians feared, threatening to bind them to eternal restlessness if they were deemed unworthy. ‘Devourer’ summons the listener to their judgement, and which path they take is up to them. Tracklist: A1 – Devourer A2 – Error B1 – Hunter B2 – Kalabalik All tracks written and produced by Æmɨt Mastered by Alain Paul

Multiple Man is comprised of twin duo Chris & Sean Campion. Originally operating from Brisbane, Australia their four track EP for Fleisch represents their first record written since Chris’s relocation to New York City. ‘High On The Hog’ finds Multiple Man at a disconnect. Spread between different continents and time zones, the record’s direction is a marked progression from previous sounds. Paranoid atmospherics, sheet metal percussion and unhinged mutant sampling, the record finds the twins wallowing in the muck and the mire. The junk funk is still there but it’s bathed in machine age voodoo. This is not a record for the post-apocalypse but an end of history banger for the psycho rollerball time we live in. Counting down every weird minute until the bombs drop, it represents a grotesque vision of end-times razorback EBM. Continuing the evolution in Multiple Man’s discography and contributing to the Berlin label’s vision, ‘High On The Hog’ throws another piece of meat into the Fleisch grinder. Produced by Chris Campion with additional production on ‘Face to Face’ and ‘You Say Y.E.S’ by Jeremiah Meece Recorded by Chris Campion, Jeremiah Meece, Brady Keehn, Joshua Wells & Dom Stevenson Mastered by Collin Gorman Weiland Artwork and design by James Stuart

“Cliché’s Principle” exhibits the two-sided aura of an artist long familiar with the cultivation of DIY ethos: an effortless expulsion of playful immediacy and the unfolding of a musician well versed in unpretentious composition. Lucy Cliché’s five track EP for Fleisch Records is a jacking romp through 120-125bpm electro/new-beat, swooning through downcast ambience, lobotomised vocal samples and sweat-drenched hardware rhythms.

Spoiled Drama reemerges exhibiting their darker side on “This is Our Mission”, their debut on the label embodiment of Berlin’s Fleisch collective. The five track EP exhibits a unique range and dexterity, blurring lines between the realms of techno, EBM, acid and electro with a touch of maladjusted pop and post-punk. From the anxious beat and shimmering tones of “Another Death Experience” to the ritualistic war drums and heavily distorted vocals of “Kisses Are Out of Fashion”, expect to feel dizzied, unnerved, yet beckoned to move. The eponymous track closes out the EP in an undeniably Drexciyan fashion, low-pitched vocals emerging from watery depths in lush sweeping pads and dissonant melodies. A mission accomplished with style.
