Back in! For Those That Knoe has dug a little deeper into the history books to unearth a somewhat understated gem in the form of Casey Tucker for the second chapter of For Those that Knoe. The mid nineties was a time when the sounds of Techno and House were being combined, new sub genres were emerging into clubs and DJs were forging their own unique take on dance floor electronic music. After a handful of releases on Probe under various aliases and before that on Plus 8 with no other than Ritchie Hawtin, Casey Tucker set up Fine Balance Recordings to showcase his unique melodic Tech House solo productions. The label released two EPs (The Carpet Dancer and Accumulated Knowledge) on 12". Very much in demand today and extremely rare, FTTK has worked with Casey to dig out the original DAT recordings of those records as well as a fine selection of unreleased material to represent the second chapter of For Those That Knoe. Some of the finest melodic Techno piece with glorious st rings, sun drenched pads, liquid acid funk and sizzling hi hats, Some early acid rave sound and the purity of the early tech house sounds before digital audio workstations became favoured over their analogue counterparts. Great records with some of the best things that Techno has to offer.

In 2013 Casey Tucker was thrust into the limelight after 15 years in the shadows. Never truly getting the recognition for is Detroit influenced and post rave sound in the 90s, For Those That Knoe reissued some of Casey's classic material and unearthed some gems on DAT in 2013. Fast forward to the current day and a recent treasure trove was uncovered and some fresh DATs untouched since the late 90s were discovered! Ben promptly bought a DAT player on Ebay and shipped it to Casey's home for the un-dusting to commence. FTTK has worked with Casey to present another round of authentic material for this final installment maybe) of his classic productions. This final chapter rounds off in a deeper more melancholic style. Inner Strength has a warehouse vibe with spacey choir pads, percussive bassline and acid funk. Terraform from Fine Balance 002 gets a rerelease as the A2 cut on this EP. Classic Casey stabs, twinkly leads and shuffling rhythms are the order of the day for what has been a staple in Ben's record bag for an age. The final track presents one of Casey's finest moments. Waiting Game is the after hours yang to the ying of the perfect summer cut BST on KNOE 2/1and rounds the series off beautifuly. Stunningly deep and psychedelic with its string section and acid lines it's a late night tune designed to usher in the break of dawn.

"In 2013, the For Those That Knoe imprint burst into record shops with a release from one of the UK's unsung heroes, Jaime Read under his LHAS alias. 5 years later, we're proud to present a reissue of a selection of Jaime's music from his 1997 album ""The End of the Beginning"". Jaime's take on futuristic chi-town influenced house is present across the selections. Written 21 years ago, the music is more relevant that ever. Serene galactic themes and time travel optimism permeate the collection: the music tells tales of optimism rather than the bleak images carved by other similar compositions of the time. Originally pressed in finite numbers, this is an opportunity to get a copy of the key material on vinyl again, split across two 180g 12"" EPs with a free digitial download code. "

For Those That Knoe delves deeper into the archives once more to repackage a bundle of hard to find cuts on vinyl that have been staple supplies in Ben's record bag over the years. The early to mid 2000s was a period of minimal techno overload, finding quality house music then was a challenge compared to today. Rather than follow the herd, some European producers took influence from the original minimal pioneers and fused those approaches with house music themes in order to push a unique sound of the era. They turned minimal on its head and gave took it in a different direction. Canson from Switzerland released a handful of records between 2002 and 2005 that were a prime example of this aesthetic. Stripped back beats with syncopated melodies - perfect cuts for those early sets or hazy morning sessions. The three tracks featured on this compilation were originally released on two solo EPs for Canson: Itsudemo and Holiday Plug In, both of which have claimed squatter's rights in my record bag for almost 15 years. I don't think I've played one early slot or house set without one of them. This record is quite a personal one for me as it's a representation of my deeper sound as a DJ. Now the original records are a little hard to find so I'm so glad to share my choice picks of Canson's material on a my label.
