“The only time you wear a Tuxedo is when it’s time to party.”So says legendary West Coast player Snoop Dogg on the opening track of “Tuxedo II”. The blessing of the Doggfather is of special importance to Mayer Hawthorne and Jake One, whose second album as a duo finds them at the forefront of a new wave of gangster boogie - one that owes as much to G-funk as P-funk.This is the territory of pre- and post-hydraulic low riders: a mélange of Cali boom-bap, analog synth bass and elegant disco that resonates truth and authenticity in an era where so many are faking the funk.Bonding over a shared love of Chic, Parliament, and the other signs in the greater funk Zodiac, Mayer Hawthorne (Aquarius) and Jake One (Taurus) were early predictors of the sea changes that American music would undergo in 2016. Their first release of 2015 debuted at #1 on iTunes America’s RnB charts, christened as “Dance Floor Catnip” by the Boston Globe, and “Pure disco-funk hot fire” by Okayplayer. Considering their individual successes (Mayer’s four solo albums, Jake’s production work for the likes of Drake, Future, The Weeknd, and De La Soul) and five Grammy nominations between the two of them, it’s no surprise that their powers combined have yet again yielded a bevy of absolute slappers that are packaged perfectly for dance parties in 2017. The material here, while wholly original, is an exercise in honoring its forebears. “Tuxedo II” recalls the future funk wobble of Zapp, Gap, Jam/ Lewis and Junie Morrison, while nodding lyrically to Mtume, Jodeci and Cameo. The crystallization of the album’s concept comes courtesy of its message of universal love; thanks to the signature combination of soul and pop sensibility that have come to define Mayer’s hooks.“You gotta do what you love...” says Mayer in a recent interview with Nordstrom’s style blog, one of the many fashion outlets to cover Tuxedo’s rise. After all - the transcendental ritual of the party and the rippling self affirmation of the funk are of one spirit: the spirit of self love...of self expression. “Tuxedo II” is a modern testament to unity and positivity in trying times. It is a reminder that the dance floor will always be there to welcome you, whoever you are.

Favorite Recordings and Charles Maurice proudly present the 3rd edition of their acclaimed AOR Global Sounds compilations series. Another brilliant selection of 14 rare and hidden tracks, produced between 1976 and 1985 in various parts of the world. On AOR Global Sounds Vol.3, DJ and producer Charles Maurice delivers again a fine overview of the AOR and WestCoast influences for many artists in the late 70s and early 80s. Even more than on previous volumes, he selected highly forgotten productions, deeply infused with Disco and Soul flavors. Many of these great gems were naturally produced through all the USA, often made by artists with a very short career and as private press. For example, Jeff Silna only recorded this amazing song after winning the competition of a long gone Miami radio station, the Stratus project started around 1974 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, and was a band led by Bob Ackley who only released this 7” single in 1976 after recording a full album and doing a few gigs around Michigan, John Kontol (Jon Konteau), however having credits for a few productions and appearances and still acting as a musician, never released another LP after his heartbreaking experience with Erect Records, that never rewarded him for his work and even change his name against his consent, as for “Dirt (In The Sky” by 7 Days Unlimited, whose both members were from Pittsburgh area, where a lot of dirt was literally flying in the air, the song was released in 1980 on a very limited 500 copies 7” single. But this kind of stories and waste of talent is not solely and American privilege, from Willy Santana (member of Placa Luminosa) in Brazil, and Funky Team in Sweden, to Stacey and Out Of The Fog in Canada, this 3rd edition proves again if necessary the international scope and fervor of this music scene, and the surprising amount of great music that go unnoticed at that time.Fully remastered from originals, with great attention to sound quality as always, AOR Global Sounds Vol.3 (1976-1985, selected by Charles Maurice) is presented by Favorite Recordings in a gatefold vinyl double LP.

The full unreleased version of the o.g bboy classic 'Brazilian Rhyme' straight out the Sony tape vaults ( I made that sound easier than it was). Not just one for hip-hop heads, the appreciation of this groove is pretty much universal. The track is an uncredited cover of Toninho Horta's "Beijo Partido" most likely directly influenced by Milton Nascimentos version from the LP Minas which is a great cheap LP while we are on that. On the flip for the first time on 45 (until someone tells me there is some random German or Thai pressing) is one of my old modern spins, best 45 of the year and its only March.

Here's a revamped reissue of an extremely rare Italian library album from 1970. Arawak is one of the many pseudonyms that Luciano Simoncini used as a composer of film scores and background music for radio and television in Italy. This album stayed under the radar until hip-hop performer Quasimoto (an alter ego of producer Madlib) sampled 'Accade A Harlem' for the 'Suono Libero' series. The laid-back grooves and dreamy atmospheres alternate with more funky sounds to make for a truly unique listening experience.

Al Massrieen: Disco, Funk and modernized Arabic Pop from EgyptIn the beginning of Habibi Funk, our search was focussed on vinyl records. Around a year ago though, we got to the point where we realized that it became substantially harder to discover music, that we enjoyed and hadn’t heard before. It became apparent that it was time to start looking for other formats. Cassette tapes were the obvious alternative. These were introduced in the arabic world around the late 1970s. In some countries they took over a bit earlier, in others a bit later, but eventually they pushed the vinyl format out of the market in the 1980s. In Egypt this trend already even started in the late 1970s.Al Massrieen was one of the first bands I learned about once I discovered the tape format for myself. They were really popular in Egypt in the 1970s and the more of their music I found on either tapes or Arabic pirate mp3 sites, the more I was becoming a fan. Only very few bands from the region can match the band’s versatility as well as their strive for innovation. Hany Shenoda is the man behind the Al Massrieen band. He is a reknown figure of the Egyptian music scene and has worked with everyone from Abdel Halim Hafez to Mohamed Mounir. Al Massrieen was his attempt to introduce his ideas of modernizing Egyptian music, heavily encouraged by Naguib Mahfouz (Egypt's only winner of the Nobel Price for literature) after discussing his ideas with him. Al Massrieen's sound goes from lush disco like “Sah” to psych rock like “Horreya” or incredible jazz fused pop on songs such as “Edba Mn Gded”. I was shocked to realize the band seemed to be hardly known outside Egypt, even though I feel they're at least on the same level as Ahmed Fakroun. An relative obscurity which I largely attribute to the fact that their releases never have been pressed on vinyl (apart from a Greece best of LP which wasn’t a strong compilation of the group’s songs). One way or another it felt like this band and especially their composer, band leader and overall brain Hany Shenoda was in need to get some recognition outside of Egypt. The release is fully licensed from the band and comes with an extensive booklet with liner notes, interviews and unseen photos.

The second and last instalment of the unissued Willie Tee discovery. A weird piece of music that we guess was just a jam session between the musicians during studio takes for the "Anticipation" LP on United Artist Records. The song wasn’t fully finished as was missing many bars of music.. But you can’t let such a great groove go to waste. So Super Disco Editsused their imagination and got together a long enough slice of New Orleans funk for you all. This superb Northern Soul dancer is currently already getting spins up and down the country.

JOB's musical journey started as students at the famed Booker T Washington High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. United by a shared love of soul music and sweet harmonies, singers James Davis, Ollie Carbin, and singer-songwriter & musician Billy Bruner began to jam together and eventually formed their own band, J.O.B, upon graduation in 1977, setting to work building a reputation by playing local parties, venues and fashion shows. Very quickly the word of mouth on J.O.B became so strong that they were offered a house band gig at North Tulsa's most popular after hours spot, The Point After. During their tenure at the famed late night spot many bigger acts came to see J.O.B when in town. Tulsa's own Gap Band, Chaka Khan, and Bootsy's Rubber band all paying homage to the trio. It's extremely rare to find good quality recordings from local clubs of this era so we were delighted when this ¼ tape turned up in Billy's archive, so sit back and transport yourself back to Saturday evening, 20 August 1977.

Already filed under "one of the heavy hitters of 2017" and anticipated by its first single, the title tracks "Soul Run" which is hitting the airwaves all around the globe, Soul Run is the debut album by Canadian raising soul star Tanika Charles. The album produced among the others by Slakah The Beatchild (BBE Records), best known as a producer for his collaborations with Canadian rapper Drake, strikes a seamless balance between the warm authentic vintage Motown soul sound, yet contains a contemporary twist to it. A tricky thing to accomplish, however, Tanika has undeniably managed to achieve this, judging by the glowing reviews and support she's currently receiving from all around the globe. In a few short years, Tanika Charles has transformed from an emerging solo artist to a commanding performer and bandleader, a staple in the Canadian soul scene, both on and off stage. Her touring career has seen her supporting the likes of Estelle, Haitus Kayote, Lauryn Hill and Macy Gray. Highly impressive, considering she is only just releasing her debut album to the world, after her low-key EP release, 'What! What? What!?', back in 2010. Growing up on a musical diet of Patti Labelle, Jill Scott, Bob James, Stevie Wonder, D'Angelo, Bjork and The Black Crows, Charles' eclectic music taste subconsciously shines through in 'Soul Run', an album's name that came from a tragic part of Tanika's life.

The Como Mamas are Della Daniels, Ester Mae Wilbourne, and Angelia Taylor. A gospel trio from Como, Mississippi. Their first album, Get an Understanding, was an all a capella favorite among many gospel fans. In December of 2015, the Como Mamas flew up to New York to appear as par t of the Daptone Super Soul Revue which was playing three nights at the Apollo Theater in Harlem. Not wanting to miss the oppor tunity to record these amazing singers at the Daptone studio, we booked a recording session for a few days after the show. This time, though, they would be backed by The Glorifiers Band, consisting of top Daptone musicians Homer Steinweiss, Thomas Brenneck, Bosco Mann, and Jimmy Hill. The result is an album of raw soulful traditional gospellike you’ve never heard before. Angelia growls the lead on “Move Upstairs,” which shuffles down the line like a freight train. On the flip, Della “counts her blessings” over a grinding four minutes of gospel-funk. Amen, sisters.

With this soul jazz slammer, Timmion introduces one of the most iconic Finnish contemporary jazzers, Jukka Eskola. Trumpeter Eskola's Soul Trio sounds exactly, what the name suggests, the golden era of mid 1960's soul jazz. The trio, composed of trumpet, organ and drums, delivers a sound that brings to mind classic Prestige recordings by Jack McDuff, Willis Jackson and Gene Ammons.Jukka Eskola started to make a name for himself already in the early 2000's but really gained a reputation as the tireless brass handler on Five Corners Quintet, the post millenial powerhouse of dance floor jazz from Helsinki. Since then he's been grinding hard on the international jazz circuit with his own groups and become the trumpet of choice in almost every jazz combo of note from Finland."Introducing The Soul Trio" and "Martha's New Moment" are both picked from Eskola's upcoming album on Timmion and should please everybody, who can handle their soul infused with jazz or their jazz with some greasy funk touches. Better get your plate ready, the grill is warming up!

The Meltdown is a Melbourne based Soul/Jazz/Blues outfit. Brought to you buy the purveyors of the finest radioactive gospel. The Meltdown features the iridescent Simon Burke. There are a lot of soul revival bands around, but the Meltdown’s angle is different - Simon and Lachlan are both pretty country and The Meltdown has more than a bit of that Ray Charles country via gospel thing, and a taste of dirty blues in it too. Echoes of towns like Euroa and Avenel, where the boys blew in from, or just artistic license? Either way, if there’s one thing that soul and country can both do for you, it’s songs about heartbreak, so here’s some rippers. The self-titled debut album by The Meltdown, Melbourne's purveyors of the finest country soul, blends country, gospel and 60s soul with Burke's enigmatic songwriting style and Lachlan McLean's soulful horn arrangements. The result is a unique take on Australian soul music and a record full of life, energy and deeply felt storytelling. With the bloodlines of southern soul; the space, the groove, the horns, and a dash of traditional country songwriting, The Meltdown have grown into something that is their own.

The Delfonics is the quintessential sweet-soul group. Hailing from Philadelphia, the crew formed in the mid-'60s, with the definitive original lineup as leadvocalist and songwriter William Hart, his brother Wilbert Hart, and mutual high-school friend Randy Cain (later replaced by Major Harris). With the help ofproducer/arranger Thom Bell—and with William's signature falsetto—the Delfonics set the tone for all other sweet-soul groups that would follow.Los Angeles producer/composer Adrian Younge envisioned a modern-day Delfonics album and pitched the idea to William Hart, who hopped a plane fromPhilly to L.A. and began work on a new album. Younge helped to reshape the Delfonics by bringing on board two excellent young vocalists, Loren Odenand Saudia Mills—as well as Om'Mas Keith on the single "Stop and Look (And You Have Found Love)"—to work alongside William. From the very beginning, it was Younge's intention to create an old-school Delfonics vibe but offer a very hip-hop-informed perspective. There aredistinguishing musical elements that Delfonics fans will recognize, like the electric sitar guitar, the French horn, string arrangements, and the tympani. Now the instrumentals are finally available.

As music fans know, James Brown wasn’t just the greatest funkand soul singer the world has ever seen – he was also a musicalvisionary and businessman, who surrounded himself withgeniuses who made him better and pushed him further. From horn masters Maceo Parker and Pee Wee Ellis to vocalistsLyn Collins and Bobby Byrd, Brown was a musical A & R master, restless and always looking for the next big thing. Most times, thatwould manifest in the latest James Brown smash under his ownname. But not always. His stable of talent was overflowing in the‘60s and ‘70s, and, thankfully, the tape machine in his studio wasalways rolling.Originally released in 1988, during the era of hip-hop’s golden ageof sampling, it’s no surprise that just about every note heard in thisincredible collection has been used on not one but multiple rapclassics. Which, at the time, was proof of Brown’s (and his crew’s)staying power. But we’re almost three decades beyond those daysnow, and it has lost none of its musical potency.Diving deeper into the vaults than the also-incredible Part 1 of theFunky People series, there is not a weak track in the bunch. Movingbeyond well-known JBs cuts, things get interesting from the get-gowith Bobby Byrd’s monumental groover “I Know You Got Soul.”Hank Ballard and Marva Whitney also enter the fray, leading theway to Myra Barnes’ emotional and powerful “Message From TheSoul Sisters (Parts 1 & 2)” and Lyn Collins’ slow, smoldering coverof Isaac Hayes’ “Do Your Thing,”Politics even get the funky soul treatment, with Fred Wesley & TheJBs’ “You Can Have Watergate But Gimme Some Bucks And I’ll BeStraight” and “I’m Paying Taxes, But What Am I Buying?” And itshould not be overlooked that Maceo & The Macks’ instrumentalworkout “Soul Power ‘74” even features a proto-sampling snippetfrom MLK’s “I’ve Been To The Mountaintop” speech from 1968.This is another amazing collection of James Brown’s funky friends, without one second of filler, brought to you as a glorious 2-LPgatefold by your friends at Get On Down.

As a spare time dj and only one of the many thousands of record collectors on this planet (but avowedly one of the not so many from Austria) it's a wonderful feeling to share some of my personal favourite songs with fellow music lovers from around the world. I don't wanna bore the pants off anyone out there as the music clearly speaks for itself. But then I think that I should shine some light on particular songs of my choice selection. The sixteen tracks on this album display a wide range of genres with some being difficult to categorize. The set starts with an in demand modern-ish soul cut by J.T. Allen & Little Richard's Band (yes THE Little Richard). It's a winner for sure as is "Love that stranger" which does indeed sound like it's from some far off place. On "This is me", intricate yet soulful jazz guitar drifts in and out as subtly drums serve as the anchor. Walter Jenkins and Jimmy Ellis represent the funkier side of things while Kurt Ochshorn and Feather give you a taste of groovy AOR. The album finishes with some exceptional outsider folk, five tunes with which I have fallen in love since I have discovered them. The Blue Pioneers and Sandy Lee deliver remarkable examples of beautiful home made recordings. "Song for stormy" simply had to be the final song on this album.A fact which should be mentioned (and which makes me proud to be honest) is that many of the songs have not found its way onto a compilation album yet. Rarity was not the prime reason though, however some of the original records do not turn up often and thus might be considered 'rare'. During the whole process of working on this project I have had listened to this selection at least a hundred times. For some reason I am still not tired of it and this is what I hope for you to experience as well. Roman Bloecker - February 2017

What started as an idea 5 years ago now becomes reality with the release of SAIGON SUPERSOUND Vol.1, compiled by Jan Hagenkötter. A compilation about the story of a musical era in Vietnam that was almost lost, made of tracks from 1965 to 1975, the so-called “Golden Music” period in the south of Vietnam, where – under difficult circumstances – a lively pop culture had developed. This period is characterized by the fusion of Vietnamese music with western pop music. The compilation includes some tunes reissued for the very first time since they´ve been released originally. With the release of Saigon Supersound Vol. 1 on double gatefold vinyl and cd in May 2017 the story of this nearly unknown music will be reissued.Jan Hagenkötter a music-lover and DJ who is also the mind behind the renowned music publishing company and record label INFRACom!, relocated to Saigon in 2012. In co-operation with the Vietnam based dOSe crew, Jan organized parties and shows, inviting guest and friends like DJ Spinna, Jazzanova, Alice Russell and many other artists. During this year as he was spinning tunes in Saigon and other parts of South East Asia the idea for this project was born. In 2013 Jan returned to Germany but has been swinging back and forth between Saigon and Frankfurt ever since. In the following years he began to research and collect more seriously. He bought vinyl singles from around the world, often several copies of the same release, just to restore or rather “rebuild” one good recording from several sources. With the help of friends based in Saigon, he was able to navigate an almost impenetrable jungle of music websites. Thanks to invaluable support and translation assistance from Vietnamese friends, he came into contact with several collectors. The best recordings from this treasure hunt were then retouched, refined and remastered in the studio for this release.Besides this amazing project, Vietnamese producers like Maqman from Saigon, DJ Yellow from Paris and others who also share roots in Vietnam have already started to work on edits and re-works of songs featured on Saigon Supersound Vol. 1. These will be released in a next step....the mission is not completed....it just started!

Cookin' On 3 Burners are Australia's foremost organ trio joining the dots between funk, soul, boogaloo & jazz. Long time partners Lance Ferguson (guitar), Ivan Khatchoyan (drums) and Jake Mason (organ) have taken their home brew of soulful Hammond get down everywhere from jazz festivals to after hours bars and clubs. Their top notch reputation led to them supporting Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings in Sydney, jamming live with Breakestra and becoming THE in demand band south of the equator. With a musical CV that includes names like Joe Bataan, Alice Russell, Mark de Clive-Lowe and The Quantic Soul Orchestra, as well as the world beating outfit The Bamboos, it's not surprising this latest CO3B album has generated huge interest even prior to its' release. Their first Freestyle album 'Baked, Broiled or Fried' featured the group in a hardcore funk groove but on 'Soul Messin' sees the sound, feel and influences widened further with some quite magical results. Versatile singer Kylie Auldist (Tru Thoughts Recordings) opens proceedings on the deep funk groove of 'Push It Up' but it is the Freestyle 45 'This Girl' (FSR7057) that provides the mellow, beautiful and incredibly catchy vocal highlight of the entire collection, shimmering horns ride over this laid back, future deep soul classic. We don't yet know what Gary Numan will make of CO3B's version of his 80's synth pop hit 'Cars' (CD only) but Jake Masons organ playing (including simultaneously supplying the super funky bass lines via his Hammond foot pedals and left hand) takes this track in a direction no one was expecting! Drummer and top notch singer Fallon Williams provides his gritty, searing voice on 'Hole In My Pocket' and 'Seen Through Your Disguise' sounding very much like US soul legend Robert Moore and the band display their versatility whilst doffing their caps in the direction of The Meters on the numbers 'Dog Wash' and 'Piranha' The down tempo, moody album closer 'The Proving Grounds' (CD only) once again shows the groups expanding musical textures and rounds off 'Soul Messin' the bands most varied and accomplished recording so far.

With their first two Daptone albums – Get an Understanding, and as featured singers on Como Now – The Como Mamas established themselves as three of the strongest voices in gospel music today. In December of 2015, they cemented that reputation by taking their first trip from their home in Como, MS up to Harlem, NY to crush the Apollo Theater as part of the Daptone Super Soul Revue. Taking full advantage of their presence in town, the Daptone crew brought Ester Mae Wilbourn, Della Daniels, and Angelia Taylor into the House of Soul the week after the show to join forces for the first time with the musicians and studio that has defined their label’s sound. Jimmy Hill, Thomas Brenneck, Homer Steinweiss, and Bosco Mann, all stalwarts of the Daptone stable, came together as “The Glorifiers Band,” to put down a churning musical foundation for these amazing singers. The results are some of the heaviest tracks that Daptone has cut to date. If you don’t like raw, soulful gospel music, you’re really gonna hate this one. Move Upstairs is a real mother!

Big Crown Records is proud to present this killer two sider reissue from Sunny & The Sunliners.Sunny Ozuna, who formed his band, Sunny & The Sunliners, in the early 60’s, is a true legend in the history of not just Chicano music, but American music. Sunny “Mr. Brown Eyed Soul” Ozuna is highly regarded as one of the architects of the sweet soul sound that has been comped on countless “Lowrider Oldies” collections, and his music has been pouring out of 1964 Chevy Impalas since, well, 1964. Side A’s “Should I Take You Home” is one of his flagship tunes that embodies everything that makes Sunny’s music so appealing. A mid tempo masterpiece that is as cool and swaggy as it is sweet and innocent. In his honeyed voice, that's equal parts Little Wille John and Frank Sinatra, Sunny tells the tale of young love and it’s inherent defiance with lines like “there’s no excuse that she would understand, so when I take you home hold me by the hand”. When we asked Sunny about the tune he described it as “a very young thing, a cute thing”. There is undoubtedly something equal parts nostalgic and romantic about a young man puffing his chest out to authority for the love of his girl. It’s this blend of doo wop styled lyrics, B side soul ballad aesthetic, and Tejano vibes that makes this one of the biggest Chicano penned low rider tunes out there.Side B finds Sunny cove

"Rohey's presence was clear. A throwback to the days of a dynamic band with an engaging singer. Music is alive outside the internet and Rohey are keeping it real."- Andy Collins, Scandinavian Soul

The fifth in our series of “The Stars Of....” EPs is drawn from the catalogue of Modern Records, UK Kent’s starting point. Of the earlier editions in the series, only “The Stars Of Mirwood” is still available – these limited editions sell out quickly, so don’t delay. Jackie Day’s ‘Before It’s Too Late’ and Vernon Garrett’s ‘If I Could Turn Back The Hands Of Time’ earned UK releases in the 60s and became early soul scene classics for British fans. Mary Love was known and appreciated back then but her Frank Wilson-penned pounder ‘I’ve Gotta Get You Back’ was an import-only job. It was not until the 80s that Johnny Gilliam’s melancholy was appreciated on the big ballad ‘You Make Me Feel Like Someone’. These four great tracks really work together and the cute 60s-style package makes them a must for Kent collectors.

Until he was about 20, Texas-born Melvin Sparks was a rhythm & blues guitarist, backing Jackie Wilson, Curtis Mayfield and Marvin Gaye as a member of The Upsetters. But Sparks gave up his seat on The Upsetters' bus in New York City, where a chance introduction to George Benson led him to a place in soul jazz history. Melvin played and recorded with Lou Donaldson, Leon Spencer, Bernard Purdie, Jack McDuff, Jimmy McGriff, Idris Muhammad, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Charles Earland, Grover Washington Jr., Reuben Wilson and so many more. Even during the quietest years of soul-jazz Melvin stayed relevant through hip-hop and r&b; a quick search at WhoSampled turns up more than 150 samples of his funky chicken scratch. And Melvin's legacy is heard in contemporary soul/funk bands like The New Mastersounds, Soulive and The Greyboy Allstars, all of whom he also guested with several times before his early departure from this realm in 2011.This release documents Melvin's final band just months before his death. Organist Beau Sasser and drummer Bill Carbone had been working with Sparks for several years, and, despite the power dynamic - they were in their early 30s, Melvin an elder-statesmen of the genre - the unit was sharp, relaxed and performed Melvin's music with a jovial spirit. The trio played the Burlington, VT club Nectar's regularly, but this night featured two "onlys." Per the recommendation of Nectar's agent they used the "Grippo Horns," the only time Sparks used a horn section in the last several years of his life, and they allowed a multitrack recording of the show. Both were strong decisions. The tracks on this album, lovingly mixed by guitarist, producer and Melvin Sparks fan Eddie Roberts, demonstrate that Melvin played as well in the final months of his life as at any time. Sparks counts "Whip! Whop!" off at what he said The Upsetters called a "showtime tempo," and peppers it, as well as most of the album, with quotes from jazz standards, pop songs and cartoon themes, all woven effortlessly into the bebop-funk dialect he helped create. He unfolds amiable melodies, patiently and methodically, through his several-minute lead on "Breezin'." And Sparks is audibly uplifted by the Grippo Horns helping him perform his 1973 arrangement of "Ain't No Woman" for the first time in decades.
