When an artist truly lets their music speak for them, there is no need for words. With his discography packed tight for the last 3 years and almost no information online, this seemed to be the case for LD NERO. So when he dropped 4 original tracks at our doorstep, we knew we had to pay attention. ‘Let Your Body Speak' is LD NERO's EP debut on Get Physical, already appearing with his bombastic remix of Roland Leesker's ‘My Warehouse' alongside Chris Liebing, Cardopusher, M.A.N.D.Y. and DJ T.. LD NERO's fresh and unique sound is abundant throughout the EP. First, the hyperactive ‘Friction Addiction' gives us a good feel for what's to come, keeping it light while still delivering the steam (the digital version includes a FBK remix, definitely check that out as well). ‘Gauge pressure', on the other hand, feeds a drip of deep bass bathed in bubbly percussion. ‘Skip About' is a stripped down, straight-to-the-point kind of track, achieving a very diverse track. And finally, the title track growls along as the vocals guide our attention (you'll also find an instrumental version here). All in all, LD NERO has had no problem exploring new directions and serving up a brilliantly simple, effective, refreshingly unique sound. In fewer words, ‘Let Your Body Speak' is bouncy, gritty tech-house to jump your late-night bones.

Hot on the heels of System of Survival's latest album and exclusively on vinyl comes the D-Votion EP to Get Physical Music. The influential House duo present cuts from the album, ‘D-Votion' and ‘No Time To Waste', ‘D-Votion' is laid out first; a deep and groovy dancefloor track with low end grit and a funky swing it its step . A collaboration with Salvatore Stallone the track is very moving and nearly impossible to resist. ‘No Time to Waste' plays a hypnotically rhythmic synth over a steamy stage of sweaty percussion. Next we turn to the brand new vinyl-exclusive acid house number ‘Phantom Power' for a heavy dose of midnight action. With a very technoid feel, the acid's presence suspensefully builds a tension throughout while the bassline chugs the track further. Next SuRFBiT joins to present ‘Searching for a Wave', another track featured on the album. This one shines more sun with warm synths, soft vocals and gentle melodies. The collaboration ends the EP on a warm note, a special sound for a special dancefloor moment.

Reboot takes another slice from his recent album ‘Alive’ out for a walk. This time it’s ‘Are You Losing My Mind?’. First we’re treated to the vinyl version full of everything we loved from the original. A stripped down tech house beat sprinkled with a might vocal hymn and plenty of groove. Then Ricardo takes over the track with his own very particular style. He’s made two distinct versions, ‘Hauswiedermischung’ is first. As he’s known to do, Villalobos created a kind of chaos in which the track lives without ever losing the groove and with plenty of little surprises to discover throughout. Next is Ricardo’s twenty four minute ‘Losing my Miles’ remix, and here is where he really loosens the grip on the track and lets it wander in and out of coherence, taking it and us along for a special ride that only Ricardo can deliver. From beginning to end, you don’t know what to expect but you know it when it comes. Get it, press play, and lose your mind.

For a long time, Francesco Tristano has behaved, musically, like a wild child making fun of his parent´s supervision, and repeatedly ran away from home to visit forbidden locations. One only has to review last year´s agenda of concerts: in between solemn dates in important venues all over the planet where he interprets programs of baroque and contemporary music, centring around composers like Johann Sebastian Bach, Maurice Ravel, George Gershwin or Dietrich Buxtehude on the piano, are several commitments under the epigraph `Francesco Tristano live´. Those escapes have little to do with classical music; quite the opposite actually. They show that Francesco´s commitment to electronic sounds remains as alive as when he started to release his first “dance” records on Infiné, even though over the last years he consolidated his position as one of the most requested pianists with one of the most brilliant repertoires of his generation. When Francesco Tristano escapes to a club, the spirit which possesses him is the one of Techno, specifically the original Detroit sound. There, in the heat of the cabin, he switches from piano to synthesizer, from pedals to software and what flows out of the speakers is a kind of music, which can only fit in this hedonistic context and the celebration of the body: expansive, rhythmic, emotional, sprinkled with piano stabs and unstoppable grooves. The material he uses is typically self-composed and unreleased, secretly produced in seclusion, to nurture a musical discourse, which only makes sense if it´s carried out like some kind of jam session.
