With release number ten, German retro-Electro label Ground Control pays respect to the legendary 1980s New York Hip Hop ~ Electrofunk group Newcleus with two of their biggest classics remixed.

While "Jam On It" gets the trademark Electrocore treatment by Jackal and Hyde (Scott Weiser, USA) with hard beats, spooky synths and vocoder dubs, the second song "Teknology", remixed by UK's Gods of Technology (Phil Klein aka Bass Junkie and Simon Brown aka The Dexorcist), goes smoother with a fat driving bassline and a jazzy, spacy feel.

Italian Electrobeat and 80s-trash-pop group Batch Sound check in with the German retro-Electro label Ground Control.

With 'The Chase Is On', the trio, formed by Chief Pink, MOK and Damokles, deliver a catchy Electrofunk gem with funky 808 drum programming, a driving bassline, vintage synth melodies, scratches and Vocoder raps.

While being a fully original production, the song perfectly channels the vibe of 1980s Electro classics such as Unknown DJ's 'Beatronic', Harold Faltermeyer's 'Axel F' or the works of Hashim and The Egyptian Lover.

German Electrofunk purist CeeOnic checks in with Ground Control. Originally released on the label of Miami Bass legend Debonaire, the two crisp and powerful productions perfectly catch the vibe of 1980s Electro classics by the likes of Egyptian Lover, Pretty Tony or World Class Wreckin' Cru, taking it into the 21st century.

The Sound In Your Ear and That's My Fantasy, which is included as a new Extended 12" Mix, are CeeOnic's overdue debut on vinyl.

After ZYX Music released smash hit “Action!” and the album “It‘s Time” in the late 80s, Berlin based producer Quickmix brings The Alliance back to life. This release features two new productions under the The Alliance brand including a remix of the classic Theme Of The Alliance and the new Kraftwerk inspired classic Electro song “A-L-L-I-A-N-C-E” with vocoderized lyrics, broken beats and playful vintage synth sounds. Building the perfect bridge between new and old, the „B-Side“ of this release features a song of Quickmix‘s new Trap & Bass Music project Flux Flavour, with heavy 808 bass drums, scratches, haunting melodies and voice samples.

Swedish Synthwave producer Tape Loader and Canadian rapper Phatt Rok Ski team up for the grand opening of the new old school Electro Funk and Bass Music label Ground Control. Featured in three DJ-friendly versions on this release, the song “Prime Time” is pure Electro Hip Hop power with funky beats, a fat bassline, a catchy vintage synth melody hook and rap delivered in early 1980s style.
