MAPA is a project of Paul Wirkus (Ex: Spokój, September Collective) and Marcin Dymiter (Ewa Braun, Emiter, Flora Quartet)Gusstaff Records presents the rerelease of their legendary album "Fudo" after twenty years! First time on vinyl. 180g black + downloadcode."Fudo" was one of the most important albums in the late 90ies on the polish electronic, experimental and post-rock scene. Two musicians, originally in guitar-noise bands like Spokój (Paul Wirkus) and Ewa Braun (Marcin Dymiter) recorded a surprising mix of post-rock, jazz, electro-acoustic music and elements of instrumental hip hop. The Wire wrote a longer story about the duo and the album in December 1998: "For Those who still associate Poland with music of the pre- rathe than the post-rock kind, Mapa's debut CD, "Fudo", will come as a real treat. It is packed with post-rock's understated but feisty motorik pulses, and the spaces opened up by the apre, repetitive rhythms serve as an apt musical metaphor for the continental divide separating Mapa's two principals. Marcin Dymiter, on guitar and bass, lives in Gdańsk, while Paul Wirkus, on samples and drums, moved to Cologne nine years ago. (...) The Mapa sound quickly took shape: simple, jazz-inflected double basslines are a constant presence, above which Dymiter typically unfurls a meandering guitar line, hovering magically in its own echo. By the time they recorde Fudo on the first three days of 1998, Mapa had achieved an easy balance between post-rock minimalism, and the eerie gilding swing and quirky design of texture-orientated producers such as DJ Vadim. The duo's twin ccordinates suggest a familiarity with German and, more specifically, Cologne post-rock".

Rito is an artist collective the core members of which are four musicians: Piotr Pawlak, Michał Gos, Jacek Stromski, and Kuba Staruszkiewicz. It's three drum kits, three drummers coming from three different backgrounds, plus a prepared guitar, samples, and computers.Rito is a trancey, meditational, and occasionally experimental affair based on emotions and energy. In Esperanto, the band's name means "ceremony" or "ritual". It's no coincidence Rito hark back to archetypal rituals, practices, and types of expression found in many different cultures and meant to induce trance, that is a state characterized by intense experiences of mystical, energetic, and therapeutic nature. The idea behind the collective is to provide a platform for musicians, dancers, as well as performance and visual artists.Piotr Pawlak is one of the most important musicians in polish experimental, jazz and yass scene. He was member of bands like Łoskot, Kury, Kaszebe II and YeShe.During Piotr Pawlak's retrospective at Sopot's Teatr Wybrzeże, a 60 minute concert was recorded which later premiered on TVP Kultura. This is the vinyl version of new Grabek's album. 180g black vinyl with downloadcode. Post-classical ambient artist, violinist and producer Grabek (PL) to release third solo albumAfter six years of silence, Wojtek Grabek (PL), post-classical ambient electronica artist and producer, releases his third solo album. This is what he says about the new release: 'Day One' is an album with the most personal music I've ever created; it's a practically wordless story about a birth specifically defined in space and time; it's a story about a new, painful, beautiful, sometimes trivial and sometimes chaotic beginning. Do I want to let go of my musical past with this album? Hard to say. I don't think I have a straightforward answer.'For his debut LP '8' Grabek was nominated for the Polish Music Award Fryderyk 2012 in the Album of the Year Electronica category. He has performed at major Polish festivals including Open'er Festival, Free Form Festival, Slot Art, Transvisualia and more. He also played the Męskie Granie nationwide tour and supported, amongst other artists, Olafur Arnalds and Jamie Woon.

MAPA is a project of Paul Wirkus and Marcin Dymiter.Nineteen years after the release of their legendary album "Fudo", MAPA strikes back with some fresh stuff combining punk, jazz, electro-acoustic music and elements of instrumental hip hop.In 2017 MAPA reduces the avant-garde jazz and punk to pure energy. The new material is characterised by simplicity and a mixture of slightly perceptible sense of humour and musical eloquence. This minimalistic set-up consisting of a few selected synthesizers allows for a complete portrayal of both musicians' personalities. They perform vital, full of unexpected twists pieces based on simple riffs, always open to interpretation. Economical use of sounds in punk rock, raw minimalism of the street sounds and flexible riffs constitute the formula of the material of Mapa's album "No Automatu".
