The 90's introduced a slew of dynamic hip-hop duo's including Das EFX, Cella Dwellas and Mos Def & Talib Kweli. I.G. Off & Hazadous were one of these duos and put their name on the map in that era with several indie releases and countless underground radio sessions as a New York rap group known for their gritty raw street grammar and dope freestyle skills. The Bronx/Queens duo first appeared on the DJ Spinna produced and released 3-track 12" "Street Serenade" in 1997 and were featured on the classic Rawkus Lyricist Lounge Volume One compilation on the posse freestyle cut "Bathroom Cypher" in 1998. Within the next few years I.G. Off &Hazadous recorded a string of singles, working with DJ Spinna again on the "The Nicest"12" single, and getting a placement on the Superrappin Vol. II album. Around that time the duo also connected with Norway's finest producer and Guesswhyld Records affiliate Tommy Tee.
Ill Adrenaline Records and Tee Productions proudly presents I.G. Off & Hazadous "Ready For Me b/w Crown Holders (feat. Skam2?)" limited edition 7" – two rare and very dope tracks from 1998/99, originally released on two different Tommy Tee albums. Both tracks also were featured in the critically acclaimed documentary "Hip-Hop: A Tale from the Hood" (based on I.G. Off & Hazadous' life and their everyday struggle) by German filmmaker Harald Rumpf and have never been available on vinyl before.
After being hit by a drunk driver in 2007 and being paralyzed from then on, I.G. Off sadly passed away on June 12th in 2012. The 7" displays the lyrical street duo at their best and pays homage to the late, great veteran emcee and freestyle king I.G. Off.

This time it’s from saib., the Moroccan beat-smith behind the exquisite albums Sailing and Around The World. Mixing tempered hip hop beats with jazzy vibes and a lounge sensibility, saib. touches on a style that’s both chill and opulent — fitting for the nostalgic vacation vibe of Jet Set. The bossa nova flavors of “Brazilero” open the single as we calm our nerves with a tropical drink. The title cut then transports the listener through an airport lounge and straight into a groovy seat in first class. Dreams are another form of travel and “Lady Jane” captures that perfectly with its soft vocal, soothing guitar, and rolling beats. You know, when you've pulled too hard on the lollipop all night and you're left with only two options, the almost controlled landing or the one that fractures what little consideration you have left in humanity and yourself. Welcome to the new Bfdm and the abyss of sensualities it provides. The track which offers the reading line of the opus is that of Johannes Bügeleisen, musician who has scoured the Berlin nights for more than 10 years, remaining at all times and circumstances endowed with a big heart and an immense class. A hymn to languorous afterhours, which is completed by a bathmix of the same song, proposed by another important figure of the Neukölln scene: Leo Zylberberg. The latter offers us a version like a scuba dive where the soap slips out of the hands into the bathtub, always during those blue hours where nocturnal and diurnal are not yet clearly defined.

he year is 1999 and The Neptunes (Pharrell Williams & Chad Hugo) are working on a new track for Wu Tang Clan Member, Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s new album. The track in question, “Got Your Money”, was an unexpectedly poppy, upbeat and melodic track that would go on to have global success. Buried within the multi-track recordings of the ODB’s hit track is an acapella by Pharrell, recorded early in the tracks production. Bringing his own laid-back style and flow, but keeping to the narrative of ODB’s track, Pharrell delivers a secret version of the track, few will have heard. Alloy Cuts delivers two versions of Pharrell’s hidden bars, mashing up one side with Montel Jordan’s “This Is How We Do It”, giving the track a more golden era sound and on the flip side the classic ragga riddim, the “Snake Riddim”, is used to great effect!

Booty Haul returns to Alloy Cuts with more of his Boom Bap goodness. Blending multiple choice samples and breaks, most notably the Mary Jane Girls’ “All Night Long”, to create a hip hop instrumental that sounds like it was forged in a NYC basement in the mid-90s. This time Mr Haul draws for a ragga acapella on the A Side, clashing with the Canadian Dancehall Queen “Carla Marshall” and her 1990 hit “Champion”.

The A side features "Game Matters" with head nodding soulful production highlighting Awon's raw uncut rhymes, blended together with a catchy scratch hook. Awon, "The 90s were really grimy and rigid, it was a different thought process of survival, getting money happened to be a part of that. On January 28, 2022, Lady Wray released her Piece Of Me album. A deeply personal record that takes on the good and the bad in life from deception and abuse to the joys of motherhood and triumph. This time Merse and DJ Robert Smith (Slick Walk) team up with QNC aka Q-Ball & Curt Cazal from “Strong Island” N.Y.C. and North Carolina ́s legendary Supastition for the A-Side.

Searching for the perfect flipside DJ RS reached out to Curt Cazal (J.V.C. F.O.R.C.E.) once more on the production tip. Needless to say he came up with the goods!

Releasing the unreleased is nothing novel in the music industry. Many pedigree artists release older material but most of the time its B sides and stuff that didn't make the cut. This however is not what we find here. Vadim has been sitting on a pile of music as high as the Himalayas for a long time and now its time for the world to hear some of these unreleased gems that never made it to official release. These 10 tracks are an interesting window of how Vadim’s style has evolved from producing mainly indie Hip - Hop music in the late 90’s to encompassing latin, Reggae, Dancehall, Soul music over those years and how he has been joining those dots internationally with many fantastic voices and visionaries.

Brooklyn's Deep Fried Music strikes again with this dope 7". Harking back to the golden age of hip hop, this is a double dose of classic boom bap. "international" is a slick, uptempo jazz infused banger and "EL Kamino" combines big horns, big drums and classic rap samples. Get this.

Captain Gloats is the understudy of Alloy Cuts’ mainstay Booty Haul, presumably for some hilarious “Haul & Gloats” puns in the not so distant future . Not much is known about Captain Gloats, other than he is a bit of dab hand at mashing up tracks and has an ear for what works on the dancefloor. Ring My Cheque up mashes up Anita Ward’s “Ring My Bell” with The Beastie Boys classic “Ch-Check it Out” resulting in 4 minutes and 30 seconds of floor filling fun, with tongue firmly in cheek.

Booty Haul has been honing his Hip Hop craft since the late 1980’s, perfecting the 12bit “Boom Bap” sound over decades and amassing all the tools of the trade in that time. More known for his house and techno (under different names), Booty Haul digs deep into his floppy disks to pull out some of his choice cuts for Alloy Cuts.
AC 001 sees Mr Haul refreshing the iconic “MVP” acapella from Big L, one of the most auspicious storytellers in hip hop history. The outcome is a more funked up, party focused slap of hip hop goodness

If knowledge is the key then Los Angeles based label All Right Fresh is the lock used to unearth this first Ɵme on 7” by UK future soul group Spacek, remixed by none other than JayDee (J Dilla) which has sat dormant for some years in an almost forgoƩen state unƟl now. Originally released in 2000, the Spacek ‘Eve’ 12” prominently featured a remix by JayDee with signature sound and producƟon techniques that fans have come to love by the modern day producer. ComplimenƟng the sound and keeping it Detroit official, JayDee is joined by Frank‐N‐ Dank who keep the swervey lyrics flowing over the bounce pass repeat beat that keeps the head nod in full effect. As if stars couldn’t align any fur‐ ther to make the package even more complete, the cover artwork was designed and drawn by none other than pioneering European graffiƟ arƟst, Mode 2 which features his classic figure drawings and unique style. This newly released pressing is housed in a custom sleeve with the original Mode 2 artwork and features not only the JayDee remix but also another first Ɵme debut on the flip with the previously unreleased instrumen‐ tal which has never seen the light of day on any format prior, giving fans and collectors something special.

OK it's the end of year fishermen. It's been a dope couple of cycles - sorry there weren't more releases - covid hit hard BUT the good news is , we're back in March with more cycles than 2022. Hold tight for some serious heat!!



For the last offering we have a superb 4 track EP of material from Texas crew MelloSoulBlack produced entirely by our Peruvian flavameister Smoky Kun. You may recognize him from his single on Los Herring Records 'Saoco Del Barrio". Peep it it's still in stock and features a grip of Peruvian MCs over some funky latin beats.

Four tracks and two interludes of subheavy, sample-driven instrumental hip hop produced between 2005-2013, remixed and re-edited in 2022 to fit the format of a 7-inch record.

Originally released in 1997 as an EP, "Brick House" is a certified underground classic and really solidified Soxx as one of the Best in the world as he collaborated with some of the top MCs of all time, on one record! "Play Dis" features Common and the B-Side is "Rollin'" featuring two of the nicest ever: Masta Ace and O.C. Both so by Saukrates. New art by Rhek too!
