Conceptually, Nordjevel evolves further and ventures into even more sinister territories. Gnavhòl is driven by war, destruction and hellish esoteric beliefs, they have created an album that is even darker and more brutal than their previous releases. About the album Nordjevel states: “Gnavhòl is darker, more dynamic and tecnhically on another level than before. This is how we want Nordjevel to sound.” Nordjevel entered the international black metal scene in 2015 and spread like a plague, capturing audiences at festivals such as Inferno, Kaltenbach Open Air, Wacken, Hellfest, Bloodstock, Maryland Deathfest and In Flammen Open Air. The band was founded by Doedsadmiral, and consists of established musicians from bands such as Ragnarok, Myrkskog and Dark Funeral. Through distinctive vocals set to a brutal and instrumental sonic desert, Nordjevel leads the listeners into an empire of infernal rage filled with an obscure, barbaric darkness. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2016, and Nordjevel entered the field like a freezing storm, and quickly became a force to be reckoned with. Nordjevel`s brutal and true take on black metal impressed. The band’s atmospheric and committed sound paired with high technical finesse, unique interplay and raw, unfiltered imagery, has the power to give any black metal fan the chills. In 2019, Nordjevel released the follow-up album Necrogenecis, and in 2021 they released the EP Fenriir. Both releases show the hugeness Nordjevel is capable of, receiving raving reviews and top scores from press and fans all over the world. All of Nordjevel’s releases has made it to numerous “best of the year lists”, and they have quickly proved their position on the international black metal scene.

Norwegian experimental progressive thrashers Vorbid are finally back with new music! 4 years after the release of their critically acclaimed debut album Mind, Vorbid is set to further explore the outpost of progressive metal. Vorbid is a young, fresh, and incredibly energetic metal band from Arendal, Norway. Both the band’s previous releases, a self-titled EP from 2016 and their debut album Mind from 2018 received amazing reviews and got lots of media attention, landing them tours with Norwegian underground heavyweights such as Aura Noir, Obliteration and Einherjer. In 2022 Vorbid has returned with even more technically challenging and intriguing music, stepping up the game and proving themselves worthy of a place at the prog metal table.

Til Klovers Takt is an album that stands on the shoulders of everything that came before it in Kampfar's catalogue. It draws inspiration from the first song written 28 years ago as much as it leans on any other period in the band's past. The surroundings of Hemsedal and Hallingdal with their rich history and awe-inspiring nature forms the background for the stories told within the six chapters as well as influencing the tonal and rhythmical approach to the songs. The result is a finely tuned album where each piece has its own voice and its own atmosphere, where nothing is accidental and where the band, having taken control of all aspects of the recording process, were able to create exactly the album they set out to release. Til Klovers Takt is the culmination of four life times worth of experience in songwriting and musicianship, coupled with the hunger to always make the next work the best, it is the image of a band in their prime.

The Cruel Intentions are dangerously skilled and always out to have a great time! Serving you the perfect blend of melodrama and fun this Scandinavian sleaze rock band are ready to bring make the best rock music, and sweetest of street styles great again. For what is rock but a homage to the legends! The band was founded in 2015, by Mats Wernerson, Lizzy DeVine, Kristian Solhaug, and Eiliv Sagrusten who has now been replaced by Robin Nilsson on drums. All of which have a widespread band experience. Notably, Lizzy DeVine lived several years in Los Angeles where he was the singer and songwriter of Vains of Jenna, a band that got their breakthrough the American era of Rock´n Reality tv with performances on shows like Jackass, Viva La Bam, and Kat Von Dee’s LA Ink. This no-fucks-given culture has no doubt shaped DeVine and his attitude towards music that is also evident in The Cruel Intentions’ music In technical terms, the band plays around the esthetics of bands such as Guns ‘N Roses and Mötley Crue, and carries on the legacy of good old Rock ‘n’Roll into the contemporary youth of today. The songs are fast paced, humorous and at times really hard-hitting. The result is feelgood music with a fresh, original and modern expression, albeit strongly rooted in rock history. New album by Norwegian punkpop outfit Blomst. Blomst ("Flower" in English) has since 2010 worked their way up to a good following, much thanks to their top live performances and kick ass punk energy. The people of rock city Trondheim has really opened their eyes for Blomst, where the band has played for sold out venues with queues winding down the street! Don’t let the adorable band name fool you, Blomst are wolves in sheep’s clothing. They do give you associations to plants, but are actually one of the most up and coming punk bands Norway has to offer these days!

Gloson release their long-awaited second full-length album The Rift! The album features a Hexalogy of songs inspired by humanity in its worst and purest form and is an attempt to pursue the meaning of it all and to foreshadow our demise through it. A gloomy, primal and intense sophomore album The Rift was born.. Isolated in the middle of nowhere, Gloson recorded this album right before the Covid-19 hell broke loose and for the first time, allowed someone else to be in charge of the recording process, to put all their energy on being purely creative and productive whilst in the studio. “It was a very liberating feeling”, Gloson comments, who previously carried out almost everything related to production themselves.

Norwegian alternative folk band Gåte concludes an acoustic era with their new full-length album Nord. “While working on Nord we had to figure out how to find strength in the small things,” vocalist Gunnhild Sundli comments. “It was a challenging task as Gåte is usually about how to make things big.” Gåte has always been about making everything big! The full live production, the exuberant live performances, an exaggeration of almost everything. As such you could say that Nord is a Gåte backwards. Focusing on the simple details with an acoustic take, meant for smaller crowds and acoustic performances. “We learned a lot writing and performing the songs on Nord. About how we work with and towards music, but also about ourselves as a band” Gunnhild says. “Nord has mapped out the very essence of Gåte´s DNA, and it has opened up new paths and made us stronger and braver.” On Nord the band has really taken a step back to fully explore their musical potential and expression through a more traditional and acoustic perspective. And though there definitely is something simple and clean about Nord, the power in the courageously heartfelt, raw, and epic soundscape Gåte manages to create seems even more present and complex than ever before.

Norway’s Halcyon Days are back, in-your-face, bringing forth an incredibly fresh metalcore sound! With aggressive metalcore riffs, punchy breakdowns and an overall melodic hardcore vibe, Halcyon Days remind of the very best days that bands like Architects and While She Sleeps had in their early years, while delivering a stellar production Based out of Oslo, Norway, Halcyon Days are a hard-hitting melodic metal band. Since their beginning in 2012, they have released two EP’s, and two albums. Their debut album 'elevate' was frequently playlisted and recommended on Norway’s national radio, NRK P3. Two years after their debut album, they released their self-titled EP in 2016, scoring more than 350k total streams on digital platforms. The EP was met with an amazing response worldwide, putting the band on the map outside of Norway. The band signed with Indie Recordings and released their second full-length album, titled "Rain Soaked Pavements & Fresh Cut Grass" in 2018. New album from Norwegian instrumental rock power trio Addiktio! Incredible instrumental trio Addiktio deliver a progressive, blistering sound by mixing elements of rock, jazz, and metal into a unique sonic experience. Their debut album “Verraton” saw the light of day in 2018 and was met with raving reviews from the Norwegian press. “these are top-level musicians making it impossible to give anything but a high score” was the review from Musikknyheter, while the newspaper Fædrelandsvennen wrote “Norway has a new power-trio, creating a mighty mix from rock, jazz and metal”. Addiktio’s new album is a result of two weeks improvisational playing and musical duels in drummer Gallatin’s studio. The three guys have years of experience and are all skilled musicians. The talented trio are all active as session musicians for several Norwegian acts, where the most known internationally are Shining and Ina Wroldsen, and the most known nationally are Gabrielle, Darling West, Marit Larsen, Odd Nordstoga, Ida Maria, Lido ++. But this is much more than a one-dimensional, technical-mastermind band. Catchy parts and strong melodies inspired by open, Nordic landscapes have shaped their sound, resulting in a rock-solid album. As a trio, they create ambient, massive sonic landscapes, filled with mathematical and melodic parts. A brutal, confronting guitar is backed by vintage bass and pure drum magic. The band’s catchy instrumentals manage to capture any listener with their ‘in-your-face’ and chaotic expression.

The instrumental prog metal trio Navian build their music on technical melodies, interesting rhythms, big soundscapes, and groovy hooks! Cosmos is an energetic and playful mission into a dreamy and atmospheric prog metal soundscape. And getting there has been a journey. “We started out talking about the vision we all had in mind of what we wanted to do this time around. How we wanted the instruments to sound, the way we wanted to orchestrate and arrange the music, how we wanted it to be played, what kind of energy and landscape we were looking to capture and how we wanted the production to reflect our music. We met each day for two weeks sketching out rough ideas and demos for a song a day. Then the process of selecting the pieces we wanted to develop into songs. It was a big part to have the pieces available on our phones, so when we were out-and-about we could listen to them and get a sense if it worked or not. It was often decided if the hook was memorable or if one of us had an idea on how to develop the track further” - Navian Whilst working on Cosmos it was essential for Navian to stay open in their approach to the music and let it form freely. Stepping away from the stereotypical purist thought pattern that often rule the genre. The album is as such a result of the individual members combined background and influences, where their unified love for modern progressive metal meets and entwines with elements from pop, hip hop, and jazz. Compared to previous releases, Navian has also made a major leap when it comes to the production and the recording with Cosmos. “We feel like Cosmos has helped us solidify our expression and our voice. With our previous releases we have been at a stage where we still were looking for influences and still developing as a band. Now we have something that we all can look at and say, “this is Navian”. – Navian

Debut EP from instrumental prog metal act Navian - Reset EP! The instrumental prog metal act Navian build their music on technical melodies, interesting rhythms, big soundscapes, and groovy hooks. Inspired by bands like Plini, Intervals, and Polyphia the band’s debut EP has been described as “..special and challenging in so many ways” (RockNews) and “with a freshness and a bounce that is entirely infectious...” (ManofMuchMetal). The band met while studying for a bachelor’s degree in contemporary music and they were all working as session musicians on the side. With their shared interest in music theory and history, and devotion to production, instruments and gear the friendship quickly resulted in a band rehearsal, and Navian was born. It all started out as musical playground; a place where the trio could challenge themselves and each other and play the music they desired. As such Navian is a space where the trio can work to perfect their techniques and skills. “To work on really difficult arrangements, stuff it feels like we’ll never learn to master, and then spend numerous hours and finally master them anyhow. That feeling – a feeling of pure joy of through accomplishment, is indescribable. It is the driving force behind our music and something which we all love. Maybe it could be compared to sports, like the sense of achievement that hits you when you score a crucial goal in the game.” - Navian Right before the first lockdown in their home country Norway, Navian performed at the Norwegian show case festival by:Larm to an ecstatic audience.

Illt is the alter ego of Norwegian composer and guitarist Roy Westad. It’s an uncompromising sandbox and a culmination of decades of passion and love for extreme metal as an art form. His debut album ‘Urhat’ features session musicians from Megadeth, Soilwork, Chrome Division and Nile. The album was mixed by Kurt Ballou @ Godcity and mastered by Grammy winning engineer Alan Douches. Roy started out as a guitarist before establishing himself as a film composer back in 2008. Since then, he has been involved in countless film and TV projects, and received the Norwegian Emmy for Best Original Score in 2014. But he always held extreme metal close to his heart. In some ways, things are now coming full circle. His background as a guitarist helped form his style as a film composer, and his film scoring career has helped in developing the form of Illt. Now he’s ready to unleash his debut 'Urhat' (meaning something like 'ancient hate' in Norwegian) on the world, and with him on the album he has Dirk Verbeuren on drums (Megadeth), Speed Strid on vocals (Soilwork), as well as lead guitarists Karl Sanders (Nile) and Mr.Damage from Chrome Division. The album is an eclectic yet seamless blend of groovy and blackened death/thrash/doom/rock. Brutal yet melodic, modern yet raw.

With their new EP "Til Nord" (Eng.: "Northward") legendary Norwegian folk rockers Gåte achieve a stunning transformation. The band from Trøndelag, the area surrounding the ancient harbour city of Trondheim, is delivering an emotive, epic collection of tracks revisiting some of their own classics and adding a new track as a taste of great things to come. What Gåte have done to their songs is both breathtakingly bold and amazing to hear. The first single and opening track 'Kjærleik' is the perfect example of how they have reimagined their sound. Taking away keyboards, electric guitar, and rock drumming, Gåte have added an archaic percussion style and used acoustic instrumentation. Gunnhild Sundli, has stripped some of the technical complexity from her singing style and placed emphasis upon folk attitude and expression. In stylistic terms, we see a shift from their energetic folk rock to a darker, more down to earth, Norse-atmospheric folk expression. Gåte were founded in 1999 by violin player and keyboardist Sveinung Sundli, recruiting his sister Gunnhild as singer. Sveinung's violin and Gunnhild’s folk song technique “kveding” brought to the sound a firm base in traditional music, which was complemented and contrasted by modern bass, drums, and electric guitars. The resulting folk rock blows both minds and ears!

Behold the Visions of Trismegistos! After nine long years stirring the cauldron in the underground, Nekromantheon finally re-emerged from the depths with their most ferocious record to date! Visions of Trismegistos is a long-awaited metal assault, bringing forth the spirit of old metal once again. Recorded in Chaka Khan Studio and various locations around Oslo by the members of Nekromantheon themselves, using mostly old, analog equipment to get that warm, genuine sound. Visions of Trismegistos feels like a lost opus from the glory days of the 80’s, when Thrash, Death and Black metal was merged into one unholy trinity. Yet, it is a fresh and vital testament of a band at the height of their abilities, that stand out amongst their peers. With the Visions of Trismegistos, Nekromantheon are ready to resurrect the ways of the ancient with their fresh take on old school extreme metal! Nekromantheon started out in early 2005 with only one goal in mind: To play fast, evil and dirty thrash metal in the way of the old gods. Influenced by the classics of Slayer, Sadus, Kreator, Dark Angel and Sepultura, they unleashed their attack on modern metal. In 2012, Nekromantheon released their second record, “Rise, Vulcan Spectre” elevating the level of ferocious, darkened Thrash metal to unknown heights. The release was an unholy offering to summon the old ways of metal, being held up to underground classics from the 80’s. It was an intense, analog sounding record that showed no mercy. Rise, Vulcan Spectre was met with raving reviews and went on to receive a Grammy for Best Metal album 2012. Nekromantheon, unaffected by the “success”, continued to play underground concerts and festivals that they deemed suited for their concept, and continued to keep a low profile throughout the years, playing selected shows and slowly working on new material. As the members were active and creative in bands like Obliteration, Black Viper, Flight, Deathhammer etc, and they have an extremely self-critical way of writing music within Nekromantheon, the follow up record took years and years before it materialized. We believe it’s worth the wait!

Recorded live in Oslo, Norway’s Amper Tone Studio, Nattesferd is produced by Kvelertak and mixed / engineered by Nick Terry (Lindstrøm, Turbonegro, The Libertines). It is the first of Kvelertak’s albums to be recorded in their home country of Norway. NATTESFERD is already garnering “Most Anticipated” accolades from the press with Rolling Stone featuring it in their ‘25 Most Anticipated Metal Albums of 2016’ round-up. Additionally, Stereogum placed the new LP at #36 on their ‘101 Most Anticipated Albums Of 2016’ while Consequence of Sound included it in their ‘20 Most Anticipated Metal Albums of 2016’ preview.
Kvelertak shamelessly draw inspiration from every corner of something that could fit into their idea of good hard-hitting and catchy rock'n'roll. Sahg’s debut album, Sahg I, re-mastered and for the first time on LP. Sahg I raised attention both inside and outside the metal world when it came out in 2006, with its catchy, doom-leaded heavy metal, inspired by Black Sabbath and the heavy rock pioneers of the 70s and early 80s, but with a Norwegian twist. Since Sahg I came out, Sahg has released another four critically acclaimed albums and built a reputation as a great live band. Although equally broad in scope, “Loop Of Yesterdays” finds the band with more to say but less to prove, achieving a more aerodynamic and accessible approach to their intricate sense of song-writing and inherently technical style. On their sophomore release, Azusa step off the tightrope and stand with feet on solid ground. The legendary Turbonegro played their first ever concert in Copenhagen in February 1989, so this year sees the 30th anniversary of this extraordinary band. During these 30 years the band have released a series of classic albums from the first album Hot Cars and Spent Contraceptives in 1992 to the latest release so far, RockNRoll Machine in 2018, toured around the globe on their own and with bands like QOTSA and Marilyn Manson, and built a massive worldwide following of local Turbojugend. Indie Recordings are immensely proud to announce that we have obtained the rights to release the Turbonegro catalogue on limited edition Colored Vinyl (on never before released vinyl colours) and standard vinyl.

Recorded live in Oslo, Norway’s Amper Tone Studio, Nattesferd is produced by Kvelertak and mixed / engineered by Nick Terry (Lindstrøm, Turbonegro, The Libertines). It is the first of Kvelertak’s albums to be recorded in their home country of Norway. NATTESFERD is already garnering “Most Anticipated” accolades from the press with Rolling Stone featuring it in their ‘25 Most Anticipated Metal Albums of 2016’ round-up. Additionally, Stereogum placed the new LP at #36 on their ‘101 Most Anticipated Albums Of 2016’ while Consequence of Sound included it in their ‘20 Most Anticipated Metal Albums of 2016’ preview.
