Argentinian Alan Courtis & Cyrus Pireh recorded this in Buenos Aries, under the concept that music is already all around us, & we are, at times, swimming through an air filled with electromagnetic vibration. A series of coils were arranged in the recording space & amped, such that they'd receive the electromagnetic vibrations. The coils used in this process were connected using liquid circuits of Malbec wine, hence the title "Coils on Malbec". After the session, the 2 composers spent 1 year treating the source recordings, editing them, arranging & rearranging them until 2 variations were created (one per side!).
