Having been a stalwart on the circuit since the early 90s, London-based Alison Marks is a well connected cat on the international house scene. With a sporadic list of releases behind her, she now steps up to Jenifa Mayanja's Bu-Mako for two joints with two producers. The first links up with Dubbyman for a sultry ride through moody strings, gentle acid bubbles and a tasty rolling beat, while a woman (presumably Alison) coos breathlessly over the top. Jenifa herself steers the second cut, bringing a more uplifting and direct track on "Bird", even if it is still decidedly blissed out house music in essence. Killer!
