Item Description
The three musicians use their proper sound, founded on the steady ground of their collective knowledge and passion for ethnomusicology. The result is energetic and unique as they melt folk and traditional music with free Jazz improvisation. The three musicians consider that their research provides them with a vocabulary that allows them to be innovative without overlooking musical and historical tradition. Born as a duo of social protest, Be'or develops as a trio in 2012. In that year Lorenzo de Vettor also recorded the album. The recordings that took place purely in the form of chamber music are recorded into the side A (8 channel on reel to reel bandtape), whilst in the B side through overdubbing, so the mix sounds much more experimental (8 session on reel to reel tape band) ... A trio that evokes orchestral atmospheres, where the music expands as the light inside any available opening.Limited 100 hand numbered copies, white label. Handmade artwork thick paper cover with insert. Be'or, meaning in Hebrew "inlightened" or "illuminated" is a music project created as a venue for the musicians Florent Manneveau, Marc Abrams and Lorenzo De Vettor.
