Item Description

Very little is known about Big Charley or the Domans. The Domans were a vocal group from Massillon, Ohio. Big Charley remains a complete mystery. These two terrific R&B sides, now available on the recently revived Hilltop Records label, were more than likely slated for release on Charles and Opal Lantz’s Lanjo label but scrapped for reasons unknown. The backing was probably the Red Ryders who had a few releases of their own on the Lanjo Label. The Domans would also add some great harmonies to pop singer Jerry Wright's 1960 release on Lanjo.
