Three stripped back atmospheric rollers. “11.38” applies an almost hiphop-esque groove to a sparse landscape of distorted vocals and foreboding melodies, which serves to occupy its own time and space; it has the weightiness of early dubstep productions but is not concerned with paying lip service to its predecessors.

The A2 side, Numatik, begins with epic strings and western film dialogue which when drops, unexpectedly lures you in to darker dance floor territory and heavy sub bass. Reminiscent of classic 04/05 Dubstep but with a brand new feel.

Gantz’s Remix of Epoch’s Steppenwolf rounds off the EP in an eerie manner; underpinned by sheer bass and pressure which gives the impression it could collapse under its own weight, juxtaposed with feelings of emptiness and space.
