“Sketches” is the limited edition vinyl run from fika, showcasing a collection of songs from their exploration of R&B & Soul.

The record serves as an insight into their artistic development and compositional ideas or ‘sketches’ to date, from their debut single “High” through to “Only One”, the final single of the project. “Sketches” is a 9 track LP, featuring collaborations with trumpet virtuoso Jackson Mathod (Stormzy) on ‘Make You Feel’, El Train (Barney Artist) on ‘Free’, and Jafunk (Dirty Radio) on ‘Only One’.

fika are a South London duo, consisting of Sam & Al, who pride themselves on marrying meaningful songwriting with soulful music. Over the last year their releases have been featured on BBC Radio 1 Xtra, BBC London Introducing, New Music Friday UK, Spotify’s Chill Vibes, R&B UK, Alternative R&B + more. Described as combining the styles of Frank Ocean, John Mayer and Tom Misch, fika are rapidly carving their own path within the UK R&B scene and continue to develop their global fanbase through a strong U.S. following.

With a live show, collaborative EP and a long list of releases still to come in 2020, "Sketches" marks the very beginning of what is set to be a dynamic and prolific musical output from this London duo.
