"GGUW is a black metal band that originated in Germany, the exact year of formation is another anecdote that is lost in their mystery. The band’s first self titled release was recorded in 2011 and featured 3 intensely bizarre tracks, all of which are labeled ‘Untitled.’ On March 10th, 2012 the leader of GGUW, Wolfrano Ketzer committed suicide. The remaining members of the band (who are anonymous) proceeded to continue the project in his memory. The band then self released 321 hand-numbered records on 180 gram black vinyl. After quickly selling out, that was it. Silence. Until, on June 21st, Fallen Empire Records teased new music with a cryptic post featuring the haunting, yet simple artwork from their self titled release."—Strange Gods Strange Altars
