Item Description
How The Other Half Lives presents Herman Brahns. No, you won't know the name, but you may know some of the producers behind it. Ned Pegler (aka Medlar aka Klic), Caradog Jones and Tom Stiedl came together in the Summer of 2012 and on a long afternoon their slow-mo arpeggio workout "53py9" was formed. Ned and Tom then collaborated again on the ominously dark and hard-hitting "Pilot" during another long afternoon in the same house during the same Summer. Both tracks were swiftly recorded semi-live with the minimum of fiddling after the fact, taking inspiration from Wax Trax era dancefloor Industrial, Italo, synth soundtracks (particularly the work of John Carpenter)... and of course the endless suffering and sorrow of existence. Scott Fraser of Bird Scarer, World Unknown and Horn Wax fame and the legendary DMX Krew grace the b-side with a pair of outstanding reinterpretations.
