Jon One Jon One Rock

JonOne: 'Rock' has been published for the solo show of the artist at the Magda Danysz Gallery in Paris, that will run from July 4th to the 31st 2009. JonOne: 'Rock' is the third, hard-cover book in full color published by Drago of the same series, the first two by Mike Giant and Dalek, titled respectively, Coup d'Etat and His Majesty Fallacy. JonOne grew up in Washington Heights, New York and is today a central artistic figure on the streets of Paris and around the world. In June and July alone JonOne has exhibitions at Magda Danysz of Shanghai and Paris, the Fondation di Cartier, as well as two exhibitions in New York. The colorful paintings featured in JonOne:Rock exude his Latin heritage and his optimism and boast of New York s dynamic lifestyle and the magic that he felt when he painted there.
