Ship to Shore is proud to announce the original soundtrack release of Konami’s well-loved RPG classic Esper Dream and it’s follow-up Esper Dream 2, in one release!

Originally released in 1987 on the Famicom Disk System, Esper Dream was a unique departure for RPG games of that era, featuring a protagonist who wielded a gun instead of a sword and who had ESP powers instead of the traditional magic usually seen in similar games. Taking advantage of the Famicom Disk System’s enhanced sound design, Konami Kukeiha Club’s soundtrack sounds several years ahead of its time, featuring funky melodies and multi-layered sound design.

Its sequel, released in 1992, is a natural continuation of what Konami Kukeiha Club achieved in 1987, but with much more refinement. Esper Dream 2: Aratanaru Tatakai is considered one of the best RPGs of its generation by those who were lucky enough to experience it and just listening to the soundtrack alone is enough evidence to regard that as true.

Available on vinyl for the first time, Esper Dream 1 + 2 is a treat for the fine lover of video game music and RPG historians.
