The 1984 work Vision Songs Vol. 1 — ‘devotional and inspirational songs’, Laraaji calls them — in its entirety, including the underground favourite All Of A Sudden.

Until now only fragments of Vision Songs have been released, tracks such as “All Of A Sudden” found their way into the New Age / Ambient music scene. Owing to it’s unique sound, it became an underground hit and there’s more where that came from. This crossover of New Age and Gospel Soul, led by Laraaji’s vocals – channelling meditations of new thought - is distinctive in his discography. Here, you'll find a recording capturing the spirit of a particular moment in time: of Laraaji playing Vision Songs to an intimate audience 32 years after it was first recorded in his Manhattan bedroom.
