Light Of Darkness: Three Scottish musicians with a German drummer based in Hamburg, with their sole album released only in Germany. Originally published in 1971, this album is an all time classic. Light Of Darkness plays a heavy progressive garage rock masterpiece with special vocals (Captain Beefheart sounds like Art Garfunkel) as Dag Erik means in his book 'Cosmic Dreams At Play'. The album contains a freaked version of Tony Joe White's classic 'Soul Francisco' in a nearly 10 minutes version as well as self-written thunderin', blues-rock classics as 'Movin' Along' and 'Freedom's Fight' and wonderful catchy 'Love In Your Heart'. The Freeman brothers of 'The Crack In The Cosmic Egg' classified the album as a hybrid of Status Quo and Canned Heat with an unusual psychedelic bent with teutonic influences.
