This album unites Jazz and Hip Hop – my favorite musical genres - on 22 songs. It is a concept album based on live jazz samples exclusively combined with a little bit of boom and a little bit of bap and of course with a good dose of funk. Boom bap funk for short. Everything that ever influenced me musically I owe to Black Culture. The music I am listening to on a daily basis, that inspires and motivates me arises from Black Culture. I cherish this fact to the core and am deeply humbled and grateful. Black is Beautiful – Black Lives matter – Fight Racism!

This vinyl is a tribute to a jazz festival in which I was born into. My first visit was in my mother’s womb. By now I am convinced that my father and his friends – founder of the festival – set the festival around my birthday on purpose. Because the festival was and still is a get together of family and friends.

In this sense, this album is a homage to family and friendship too. The record’s production was financed by crowdfunding donations from family and friends – I am deeply overwhelmed and thankful. You helped me realize my dream.

Three years ago, my daughter had been to the festival in my partner’s womb. This album is dedicated to both of them – they provide the most beautiful rhythm in my life.
