Active for over 40 years on the Italian pop-rock scene, Loredana Berté can in all respects be considered an iconic character, always associated with free and provocative sexuality. Her first LP "Streaking", originally released in 1974, can musically be associated to the 'soft rock' genre, with some funk, symphonic and even soul elements: but the main ingredient is, of course, Loredana Berté's voice, already versatile and endowed with a strong personality while only 24 years old.

The following year the single "Sei bellissima" marked a remarkable increase in Bertè's popularity, and was chosen as the opening track of the singer's 1976 second LP "Normale o super": this record sees the participation of various artists from the pop Italian prog-rock scene such as Vince Tempera (who also wrote the arrangements here), Mario Lavezzi, Bob Callero, Gianni Dall'Aglio (all members of the band Il Volo), the duo Ivano Fossati / Oscar Prudente (who wrote "Per effetto del tempo"), Mogol and Oscar Avogadro. In addition to the lyrics, more committed and less frivolous than in "Streaking", musically "Normale o super" marks a significant step forward compared to the previous album, and the presence of progressive rock musicians has a significant impact on the final result.
