The Lucid Dream Unchained / Moonstruck

Also out as one of the year’s 2 final Great Pop Supplement releases is a 45 already amassing huge radio play on 6 music as I write this. The fabulous “Unchained” which acts as a taster to the great 2nd full length due early next year (vinyl again via The GPS).

“Unchained” is like some gorgeous stop start 60s psych pop collision with Spacemen 3- yet unlike so many others also mining that same (now) tired path, The Lucid Dream channel that sound and in this case add heavy Spector esque, Beach Boys, Sunshine Pop lnfluences which lift it out of “seen it all before “drone fest land. This is loud in yr face sunshine psychedelic pop currently sounding just awesome on the wireless in this writer’s kitchen…!

The audio is only half the appeal on this one, the disc itself is a trippy, eye fuck, multi coloured picture disc 45 delivered in transparent acetate sheet “sleeve” with backing card. This, like all the band and labels’ releases before them, will sell out in a second so be warned.
