Man-eater kidnap research teams and impale virgins. Admittedly - somewhat difficult to digest - films of Italian B-movie genres are accompanied by dreamlike melodies. "L'Isola dei dannati" – “The Island of the Damned” - takes us into the jungle and on the (almost) deserted island, accompanied by erotic rendezvous and wings with Bossa Nova a summer that should never end, until the gruesome story takes its course. Mondo Sangue (film composer Christian Bluthardt and singer Yvy Pop) created a true homage to the Italian cannibal cinema of the 70’s. The "L'Isola dei dannati" limited edition LP of 666 copies which combines Erotica, Exotica and psychedelia with the same opulent pathos of the original Italian film music. All this got produced so convincingly close to the tradition and full of respect towards well known composers of this genre as Ennio Morricone, Nico Fidenco or Stelvio Cipriani. The hand-numbered 180g vinyl LP contains a Din A2 Poster (approximately 42x60cm) of the cover artwork.
