Monster Treasure are from Stockton, California (not Tees) and are a punk influenced power trio.!
They’re loud, heavy and fuzz-dipped with dreamy harmonies and cacophonous drums. Monster
Treasure also wield a sonic menace that will lay waste to everything in its path.! !
Having met in High School in Central California earlier this millennium, the three who make up
Monster Treasure formed a few years back with the common goal to craft songs inspired by
heartbreak, mortality and financial struggle. The resulting record is mostly about being in love,
frustrated, bored and angry in life. Bittersweet melodies and unhinged guitars are the order of the
day.! !
Fully immersed in their local scene, Briana, Rachel and RJ forge visceral, melody-fuelled punk
nuggets using plenty of distortion and layering the instruments at their disposal to devastating
effect. Equal parts scuzzy and sweet, menacing and full of sunshine, ‘Monster Treasure’ is a record
that will both unsettle and delight.
