My First Trumpet Ursel Irregular Edition

Kevin Hamann, or My First Trumpet, is well known to many as the initiator of the
songwriter project Clicklickdecker, which has since become a trio - or as one half of the
Bratze ravepunks, who recently laid themselves to rest forever. His fifth album Ursel,
under the My First Trumpet moniker, now appears on Anette Records and, for the first
time on vinyl.
Unfortunately, it is an overwrought 'Cloud Cuckoo Land' pipe dream to imagine that
musicians will eventually really refine their number and mature like red wine and other
intoxicating beverages. Here this is, without a shadow of a doubt, the case. Messr
Hamann sends us polyrhythm, acoustic pop, 'trip-hop' and down-tempo tracks right out
of his (caution!) bedroom.
As if he had something to tell us. He probably has, but apparently not in words. Each lush
piece is unique, behaving (in)deliberately differentiated from each of the other album
songs, but they are still gelled all together by a pleasantly warm atmosphere that is
impossible to grasp with bare hands.
