Item Description
Limited edition of 500 numbered copies!

Ngozi Family, a band that started in 1975 in Lusaka and has since been rising to stardom at a very fast rate. Bandleader Paul Dobson Nyirongo, known as Paul Ngozi got together former members of his old band The Three Years.
Paul Ngozi (Nogozi means danger) with his band gave a popular voice to what later was called "Zamrock", a cool fusion of older African rhythms and 70s rockish underground modes – never too polished, but with a tightness that might have made Anglo groups up in London sit up and take notice! The guitars are razor-sharp here which sounds great next to the harder rhythms at the bottom, and the album's mix of English and Zambian lyrics.

The album "Heavy Connection" was recorded in 1978 together with his drummer Chris Zebby Tembo. Originals of this album are impossible to find and the music suits all fans into the music of his other albums as well as the music of the bands Witch and Amanaz. Fuzz guitars all over with African beats and political lyrics.

This limited 180 gram transparent white LP comes in a heavy sleeve and with a 2-page insert.
