It all started when three musicians met for a living room jam session. Following intense production work, the result, pressed in vinyl, can now be owned and enjoyed with all senses. It tells “The Stories Of The Flying Lap Dog (On Rhodes Island)'' Say What? So how did that come to be? Was Rhode Island named after the popular electroacoustic instrument or was it the other way round? What does Alice Coltrane’s grandnephew have to do with the title of this album? What role do Rachmaninov’s dog and grandmother’s living room door play in this chamber play? Perhaps the artists’ personal musical development and history can shed light on these questions.
In the end, however, each listener must decide for themselves what to make of the title and what the ever recurring references and allusions to the dog are all about.
With their album “The Stories Of The Flying Lap Dog On Rhodes Island', PDF and the acrobats have called to life a sublimely multifaceted organic soundscape, suffused with myriad textures and influences, wittily incorporating various stylistic elements that often combine with surprising effect. Whether Dub, Jazz, Hip Hop or Funk – it all melds into an exciting, emotional journey through space and time. Little by little, the album weaves a cocoon of sound, inside which new discoveries await with every listening.

The beautiful artwork is the creation of Anita Brunnauer, who combined cyanotype prints from Oliver Deutsch with her own elements into her own, unique design.
