Item Description

The tapes of Burned Sugar (1973) were found accidentally in the archives of the Swedish National Radio. The mellow groove of his Afro Temple LP contrasts sharply with the more direct and intense funk of Burned Sugar. Sabu made appearances or recorded with jazz giants such as Benny Goodman, Dizzy Gillespie, JJ Johnson, Louis Bellson, Horace Silver, Buddy DeFranco and Art Blakey. With Sabu on the Burned Sugar recordings: Mr. X on bass, Stephan M??r (Caretakers) on drums. Wlodek Gulgowski on keyboards and Bernt Rosengren on flute and sax. The LP version comes with printed innersleeve and laminated front.
