Status quo no longer an option in their 30s, the writing for "True Adventure" began slowly, exploring topics that lived in their past; addiction, depression & the fear of being irrelevant. But as one member announced that he & his family would be moving to New Jersey, urgency filled their spirit & their signature angst had returned. Utilizing the limited time they had left together, Sass Dragons revisited themes that were common in their career; the hatred of the work week, the resistance of growing up & the ever-looming threat of global destruction. Although these ideas weren't unusual, the perspective had changed to one of introspection & hope, looking forward to the future while acknowledging their past. All the while utilizing the anthem-laden, power-pop punk that put them on the map.
