Rivulet 004 is a home run for the young label wich operates between Leipzig and Berlin. The Split-EP comes with 2 tracks by Talski and Stanley Schmidt which discloses the understanding of electronic music between the antagonism of deep and cheesy, techno and house, melancholia and euphoria that always drove the idea behind the label. Stanley Schmidt delivers a sample-based deephousetrack, wich opens up from a darker mood to sunshine-inspired "emo-house" using soul-inspired strings and a catchy (but not well known) vocal-snippet by Candi Staton. "a.brain0030" by Talski is a dark, mystical techno-ballad which comes with a broken beat and a drifting tribal. As always Talski proofes his skills by using unusual sounds and a nonconform arrangement, which always bears the quality of his tracks.
