STS x Khari Mateen Better On A Sunday

Steel Wool presents the vinyl release of STS and Khari Mateen’s their newest project, the ten-track album “Better On A Sunday”.

ATL. Philly. The Roots. RJD2. The two musicians share several connections throughout the history of their careers. Raised in Atlanta, they followed different paths to ultimately wind up in Philly, collaborating with The Roots and their extended crew.
In 2015, STS and RJD2 released a full-length album titled “STS x RJD2”. Khari toured the US as part of their live band, playing bass and cello. During this time, STS and Khari began working on the tracks that would become Better On A Sunday.
The record draws upon their parallel childhoods in Atlanta and musical coming of age in Philly. It's about the American spirit of hard work and enjoying time spent with family and friends. Whether you're a mechanic, a doctor, a teacher or a rapper, these are the struggles and simple joys that we all share.
