The Teva Original Universal Leather is the design that goes back to the brand's origins. While working as a rafting guide at the Grand Canyon in the early 1980s, Teva founder, Mark Thatcher, was desperately looking for a shoe that’s suited for rafting. Due to the fact there was no footwear items for his sports, he developed an own design – water-resistant sandals with non-slip outsoles, a perfect fit as well as comfortable cushioning. The Teva Original Universal was born. Today, these Teva sandals are considered as classics. Equipped with custom Durabrasion™ rubber soles, the Teva Original Universal Leather also features the OG strap system made from suede, hook and loop closure, an EVA midsole for lightweight cushioning as well as a Teva flag label.
