The second chapter here of the project run by Sciahri (Ilian Tape) and Emanuele Porcinai (on Contort as WSR).

After the “spectral atmospheres” (RA) characterising the first release, UNKNOT02 is more of a dynamic, dance floor friendly record. A collection of four, rough / sharp pieces consisting of a fast-paced, offensive A side dominated by two restless, rhythmical experiments plus a more introspective, severe B side which still maintains a melodic core.

UNKNOT is the duo consisting of producer/ DJ Sciahri and composer/audiohead Emanuele Porcinai. The core of UNKNOT’s sound is strictly bound both to Sciahri’s solid techno background and to the mu-table character of Emanuele’s electroacoustic productions. The dialogue between such distant practices and approaches is what defines UNKNOT’s musical identity…
