Almost a year after their best-selling second EP, the anonymous bandits CRUMBS return to the fray, with another perfectly planned and executed smash & grab. Although delivering a mysterious & scantily clad 12" is hardly a novel concept these days, it does concentrate the mind (and feet) on the music more than the brand. It's undercover time again, and we're sworn to secrecy, of course...but two of the regular collaborators have engaged in a serious bit of one upmanship. Having landed this diverse haul, let's take a look inside as we move from a completely overhauled Musicbox classic, flipped and re-pitched for 21st century floors. Followed up by a totally irresistible modern Afro-Disco workout with more than a few sonic surprises thrown in. Turn over for a lost, cosmic gem with no end of additional sparkle, coupled with a a twice-baked & loose jointed rhythm and bass workout that really slams. A DJ's delight, then, to be mixed up or played raw. This one will be gone in the blink of an eye, but treasured for much longer.
