Developing further his signature style of dubby electronics with ambient flavors, topped with percussions and echoes, Vesa-Matti’s tracks drive to- wards pleasuring both deejays and home listeners. Crafting his output from analogue live jams, the production shows skillful use of synthetic and natural sound sources combined into deep grooving beats to form outer space audio excursions in his studio in Vaasa, Fin- land. The soulful proto-dub of Universo EP once again shows how Ljudverket continues to deliver timeless music. The result is an outstanding four-tracker, crossing Basic Channel grooves with more cosmic, synthy vibes. Soulful, hands-on, swirling, spaciously grooving.
