Whitesquare Discreet Moment Thing Part 1

Over recent years Rome-based DJ and producer Whitesquare has earned a reputation for his eclectic and expansive DJ sets and his cosmic approach to his house, techno and disco productions. Following releases on labels including Toy Tonics and 20:20 Vision, along with his own Whitesquare Series and Versione Lenta imprints, he returns to Life And Death with a fresh EP that’s bursting with summer positivity. Life And Death’s first release of 2021, 'Discreet Moment Thing' is split into two parts, with a second installment coming up later this summer. Whereas Whitesquare’s previous offering, 2020’s 'Seventy Days Of Déjà Vu', was a laid back affair created during the first lockdown period, this latest pair of tracks have been clearly created with the dancefloor in mind, drawing on influences from classic house music of the late 90s / early 2000s era when the genre was at its peak dominance of popular culture. Part one opens up with 'Carte Blanche', giving us a taste of much-needed optimism and dancefloor bliss. On the flip side, euphoric piano chords and a feel-good bassline shape 'Lux Interior', the ultimate summer jam.
